“Amazing Turkish food - definitely some of the best lamb chops and octopus I’ve had in years. The Rana Table deal was awesome, offering a perfect way to sample all eight appetizers along with four additional mezzes. With four people we got 2 entrees to share and the portions were just right.
I gave the food five stars, though I do wish there had been more dessert options to finish off the meal—we couldn’t get enough of the pistachio lady finger!“

“Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Tried the ezme appetizer (medium heat but cool refreshing herby delight) with a glass of Turkish rosé, and ordered the lamb shish kebab for my main course. When the server asked what temperature I preferred for the lamb, I said whatever the chef recommends…it was phenomenal. Tender, wildly flavorful, and worked so well with the salad, buttery rice and pine nuts, and another glass of the rosé! My husband had the chicken adana kebab which was also delicious but not as good as my lamb. We couldn’t help ourselves from ordering dessert, since I’m physically incapable of saying no to baklava. He tried the almond pudding which was quite tasty with a great consistency but my three small baklava pieces were warm and sweet perfection. My only regret is not trying some coffee. Service was great, our water glasses were constantly being refilled, and it was pleasantly cool inside on a 95 degree day in the city. I wish we lived closer because I would eat here regularly. Thanks for a top tier dining experience!“

“4.5/5
Bunny is such a CUTE spot in the neighbourhood. Lovely small restaurant with a great ambiance.
The service is also amazing, both servers were so lovely and attentive, A+ !
I went with a friend and we shared everything… started with the marinated feta and the green beans!
The marinated feta was good, came with a very nice almost montreal bagel style bread and really tasty zucchini… only gripe I had with this was that the feta wasn’t very… marinated. No herbs, only olive oil.
The green beans were excellent, very nicely done and all flavors were fresh.
We had both split the schnitzel and the lamb kofte as mains. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly although I will say that it was under salted and lacking any herbs…
The lamb kofte stole the show, perfectly spiced and the farro was also cooked perfectly!
The baklava for dessert was also INCREDIBLE! I’m greek and so have memories of my yiayia’s and this was the closest i’ve had in a while 🥲
Will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu !“

“Easily one of the best Mediterranean spots I’ve been to in NYC. The chicken kebab was perfectly grilled — juicy, flavorful, and tender with that light char that makes it addictive. The rice was fluffy, the salad super fresh, and the pita came warm with rich hummus and creamy yogurt dip that tied everything together. You can tell they care about quality and seasoning here. Portions were generous, service was quick, and everything tasted homemade. Definitely coming back.“

“This is a nice Turkish Restaurant easy to see right of 2nd Ave serving the LES and the adjacent area of Manhattan. Small dining room. Traditional Turkish Menu. Mixed Grill plate, Donner, and Lac Majun are all good. Nice staff. Manhattan prices so bring credit cards 💳. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.“

“Delicious, flavorful, healthy food, wine (and tea!) Excellent atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient service. I have been a client of SipSak for many years, and have brought my family and friends. So happy to have this great Turkish restaurant in our neighborhood. I had Ali Nazik today, which is ground beef, tomatoes, peppers over a smoked eggplant puree and yogurt. A glass of Malbec. And the delicious Turkish tea (which is served in a really cute cup!) The bread and olives are also very yummy! I would certainly recommend!“

“My first time going was last Friday right as they opened and I must say for my first time eating a Turkish dish, I was blown away. The service was on point and efficient as well as the plating of the food. I was in love with the portions too and even the bread was just so savory. I can say I have not one complaint about this place and highly recommend it to everyone.🥰“

“It was great. Great go-to place for turkish food. Everything they have is delightful. And they have an awesome liqour called rakeh I may be spelling it wrong, but thats okay! Add ice to it, and it changes colors! Finally asked what filling they use on the cheese rolls!!! I LOVE THE CHEESE ROLLS WITH HONEY. LOVE LOVE LOVE. They would absolutely be my go-to place if parking was easier. The girl that worked with me.... I forgot her name...
Runs around like a cheeta, always moving but always attentive. She is so sweet and lovely!!!! My favorite desserts of today was the kanefeh and baklava. Always loved them both. They are home-made desserts. Absolutely Divine. Will be coming by again soon. If I am lucky with parking.“

“Great place to eat Turkish food. Service is excellent & atmosphere is very nice: casual & friendly. Lots of tapas to choose from. Lamb dish is tender & baklava is superb. There’s live entertainment on the weekends. Sometimes one of the guests will be playing a clarinet or a guitar while eating. Lol. Lots of local Turkish people eat in this place. They started as a tiny restaurant & they have expanded to the one next door.“

“Hands down the best Turkish food in NYC. The owner-operator, Mike, is always on-site, adding a personal touch that makes the experience feel both welcoming and elevated. The food is clean, healthy, and notably free of seed oils — a rare and refreshing standard. The chicken chops are excellent, the chicken shish is top-tier, and the mezze selection is absolutely fantastic. Every dish reflects real care and quality.“

“So this hidden gem is AMAZING! I went with my family and I will never forget the hospitality. I had salmon and omg it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. It was the freshest salmon I tasted and was on a bed of rice so healthy and still tasty! I tasted a Turkish soda and it was fruity and the best combination of sweet and tangy The salmon SKIN was amazingly crispy! Yes the skin. This Turkish/Mediterranean place is a place I will forever go to and overlooked. The atmosphere of the place felt like me at home so laidback!“

“Basic but very good, especially for the price. A highlight was the woman at the register who was very concerned and accommodating. You can get a half chicken and two sides for $15.95... and that ain't bad. The establishment is a solid choice for a quick and reliable meal.“

“Walking around 86th street with my adult daughter looking for a place to eat. This one stuck out.
Went in and asked lots of questions. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Ordered and sat down at a table. It wasn't crowded. It was quiet, just right for the conversation we needed to have.
The food was delicious and there were large portions. It reminded me of old Brooklyn. A family owned restaurant, with the staff proud of every meal they serve.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.“

“IRIS is a gem for a pre-theatre dinner or an ambient dinner with a special date. The pre-theatre menu is a must as it offers an appetizer, an entree, and dessert. The octopus was delicious and the lemon sauce with it was something to brag about. Now on to the Pastitsio. What a revelation! The presentation and the flamed brandy drizzled over was beautiful. The delicious meat and cheese were succulent. The Branzino is a close second. The Baba for desert is a delicious send off and not too sweet. The staff is warm and welcoming. It opens at 4 on Saturdays and the dining room gets full around 5:30. We went at 4. Sometimes lots of people make the food taste a little better so go at 5 and after. Overall, IRIS passes the eye AND taste test with flying colors!“

“We either ordered the wrong things or it was an off night for this restaurant because our experience was nothing like what other reviewers say. Restaurant was so noisy that we had to shout to our table companions all evening. The imam bayaldi was oversalted and underflavored and pine nuts doled out as if they were diamonds. The shrimp was hard, dry, overcooked, oversalted and flavorless sitting on a bed of gloppy watery tomatoes. Half the lamb kabobs were ok and half were nothing but gristle. Servers were very pleasant, and helpful with wine selection but the wait for our dishes seemed interminable. What was good -- very good --the rice with the lamb kabobs, the rice pudding and the coffee. But too much money for bad (sorry, but that's what it was) food. As I said, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes or maybe it was just an off night.“

“Stopped in tonight, not very crowded which was great and the food was served super quickly. Loved every bite!
The highlight of the night was Lourdes the cashier/ attendant. She was so friendly and welcoming and attentive. She was able to recommend things on the menu and elaborate on the options.
While I was eating she kept checking in on me and my guest and walking around cleaning surfaces and tidying up the space. Amazing customer service from her. Would absolutely recommend this place and I hope anyone that stops in gets to meet Lourdes.“

“i was passing by the area and looking for a quick filling lunch, very pleasantly surprised by how yummy their chicken doner sandwich was. You MUSTT get their homemade bread, it’s so soft yet a little toasted on the outside. The cabbage and pickles were so refreshing, a nice balance to the savory chicken. It was also GIGANTIC. You will not leave hungry for sure. There is a modest seating area in there as well, in case you need to rest a little before continuing going wherever.“
