“Truly a hidden gem. Being a native North-forker, this is a great addition to local cuisine. The food, the setting and service are outstanding and worth every penny. Having eaten here several times, every meal (the beef bourgeoned, duck and penne ala vodka) has been outstanding. One note of criticism that hopefully ownership will hear, the menu says "crispy half duck", which one would assume means a "half duck" that includes breast, thigh and leg all in one piece. What I got was two leg quarters, or the back half of the duck leaving me to think the chef was saving the breast meat for something else. While it was delicious, I felt gipped, and if the server had told me "no breast meat" I would have ordered something else. So maybe something to think about for the future........“

“Great location on the water. The service was impeccable, the waitress took order for 6 people without taking notes and nailed every meal and drink. Amazing. The clam chowder was delicious although the NY steak was a little tougher than I expected, but the side of truffle fries almost made up for it.Would return and recommend as all the dishes looked great.“

“Wow. What a great experience! I was first introduced to Chef Payard as the pastry chef at a private club. Mind was blown. So I checked out his restaurant and was impressed with everything - the service, the menu, the creativity, the atmosphere, and the incredible food from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and check it out.“

“As a starter, we opted for the Chicken and Lemongrass dumplings, and let me tell you, they were absolutely divine! They're delicately steamed and served in a zesty ginger glaze, accompanied by a Thai dipping sauce. They're so delicious, you don't even need the dip! The marinated filet mignon steak tips also never fail to impress – they're consistently tender and bursting with flavor, making them a must-have every time we dine here. As for the main course, we invariably choose the baby back ribs. Good ribs are hard to come by in New York, but this spot has by far the best ones on the North Fork! The prices are reasonable, the cocktails consistently deliver on flavor, and the service is consistently excellent... all in all, just exceptional across the board.“

“Love lane kitchen is a staple of Mattituck like Love Lane itself. Great food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service. Prices are fair. Unfortunately, this place like the rest of Love Lane becomes horribly overcrowded with tourists over the summer or weekends in pumpkin season. As a small restaurant, it gets CHAOTIC and completely ruins the experience if you try to sit down for a meal during these times. Rule of thumb - don't go in the summer or on weekends!“

“This is up there for best meal I've had. For appetizers we got a dozen of the East coast oysters which were very fresh and sweet, The Naughty Blu was very good and, when asked, got a generous amount of extra blue cheese olives, the Apple Bread Pudding was amazing and a decent size. But the star of the meal was the Local Flounder Francaise. The fish was flaky and well seasoned, the veggies were perfectly cooked and the beurre blanc sauce was nice and rich. Overall, *french kiss*. Giving 4 stars though because, while our server was nice and attentive, they didn't know whether one dessert had nuts in it or not, which one person in our party was allergic to. Luckily, before she ate it we luckily caught it in time. But with nut allergies being so serious and common you should know what does or does not have nuts in it.“

“Very nice restaurant, a part of an inn. very specious inside but there is also sitting outside which is nice as it is between 2 buildings and you have plenty of shade. We had the Claude's Tacos (recommended), Fish and Chips ( a it blend, but I loved it), Lobster Roll (on a ban, but still excellent).“

“We are so glad to have tried this place despite the word "cafe" in its name. Everything we ordered was delicious, and beautifully presented. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Really like the decor, simple, clean and peaceful. Definitely on the return list, and if I were you, I would ignore some of the not so positive reviews of the place and give it a try!“

“Still thinking about my perfectly seasoned and cooked (so tender) bone in pork chop. Everyone loved their dishes. My beet salad appetizer was delicious , oysters fresh and a lovely glass of delicious Sicilian wine. Good value, great dining experience.“

“I cannot praise this restaurant and the staff enough. My boyfriend and I had the most incredible night here, EVER! We were so lucky to find this place last minute.The decor is beautiful, from the bar, the dining room, to the smoking lounge. The manager/bartender/server for the night, Dylan, went above and beyond to give us a great experience. Our waitress was friendly and polite, we were even lucky enough to meet the head chef and sous. We also met the wonderful Jazz couple that performed the night we went. We stayed here for *hours*. No exaggeration!FANTASTIC FOOD AND DRINKS!! And for someone who eats at a lot of places, the pricing for everything was more than reasonable, especially for the quality. I still tell the story of my visit here, and i’m going to for years to come. I am so excited to go back with my friends and family. “We sat at the bar to watch a basketball game. Sara was the bartender, hostess, waitress and took the phone orders too!! She was amazing!!! She was relaxed, attentive and friendly while she ran the entire place! BBQ was great, but Sara MADE the experience super! An incredible asset to the business!!“

“My husband and I were getting desperate to find an interesting restaurant in the town of Southampton that didn't charge $31 for a plain Caesar salad and yet had good food and ambience. T-Bar surpassed our wishes to the point that we ate there 3 times during our month vacation in Southampton. The meatballs were superlative and the fish dishes unparalled. But on our third visit we found out that the best was yet to come as we decided to try eating at their outside area. It was bustling and beautiful. You'd never know you were on a street. “SOOOO GOOOOD!! ~ such a FUN EXPERIENCE ??? trying the most AMAZZZZING FOODS~ you won’t find your typical run of the mill items on this tasting menu! Each dish is curated with the most unique ingredient pairings~ things you would never think to put together but are SOOOO GOOD!! Plus top it off with some wine OR you can bring your own for a corkage fee! DEF RECOMMEND!! PS~ our menu started out with baked sourdough bread~ of course even though I prefer an Atkins lifestyle ?, it looked soooo good I had to eat it~ but don’t get toooo full to fast! Meaning don’t get full on the bread because the next dishes to come are more than enough to get full so pace yourself~ ????~ XO!! ???“

“Such a great place, we go every year after we get our Christmas tree, nice warm days we walk across to the beach/water and take in the views. The food is great, service is great also. The restaurant is split with a bar side with TVs for more casual dining, or the dining room side. Great menu selection and specials are always good too!“

“My Dad's leash broke while surfing Ponquogue beach and we saw the sign for "surf shop" - went in to the little shack in the back and got a leash, then had lunch! They have good old greasy snack bar food and milk shakes among other things. All the fried seafood is tastey. Maybe a little expensive but cannot complain. Will be back for lunch if I'm surfing and in the mood for it“

“Used the groupon which is a great deal! our family ate dinner and everyone enjoyed their food! Even better they are serving Montauk beer! Their interior is not the best atmosphere...very casual but our waiter was great. The outdoor back patio is great! covid masks and partitions at bar to tables sanitized made us feel safe to eat!“
