“Classic no-frills diner with a great breakfast. I love their home fries which are soft and crispy at the same time. Great eggs over easy and they do a nice poached egg as well. I haven't been for dinner, but it's a staple in the breakfast rotation. Can be chilly when the doors open, so dress warmly in case seated by the door in the winter“
“Great location on the water. The service was impeccable, the waitress took order for 6 people without taking notes and nailed every meal and drink. Amazing. The clam chowder was delicious although the NY steak was a little tougher than I expected, but the side of truffle fries almost made up for it.Would return and recommend as all the dishes looked great.“
“Wow. What a great experience! I was first introduced to Chef Payard as the pastry chef at a private club. Mind was blown. So I checked out his restaurant and was impressed with everything - the service, the menu, the creativity, the atmosphere, and the incredible food from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and check it out.“
“Very friendly and helpful when ordering. Amazing food, good size portions and good selection. Fair prices and a clean and fun atmosphere. Good choice of vegetarian and gluten free options. A must try restaurant when on the East End.Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian and gluten free options.“
“I can not tell you how what I felt walking into this place with a nostalgic feel of the country and a mom and pops feel shop cozy and calm. Stress free. My coworker and I ordered a Italian on a roll. Wanted a hero but they were sold out. You know what they did? Packed the roll so big it made up for what we wanted and it was one of the best we ever ate. God bless you and the sweet woman back there. I hope we will be out there more to get more from you. So generous and caring. After eating that sandwich I wanted to give you guys a hug for how well you took care of us. Thank you. We will be back. If anyone is doubting just do it. It's a step back in time and such a great place. Thank you to you guys.“
“I had a fantastic dinner here this winter. Menu was small but we were all able to find something absolutely delicious. The food was really flavorful and well prepared. Portions were generous and we were all very satisfied. Drinks were only okay but in my opinion the food makes up for it. The service was great and felt super personal. It's absolutely adorable inside, very cozy and cute. I would definitely come back here!“
“Commendable from every aspect. Parking, waitstaff, view, and most importantly, the dinner. Another delicious experience from appetizers to desserts. Our table enjoyed the baby back ribs and burrata with figs as a start. Entrees included the filet mignon and the local striped bass. Vegetarian opted for the portobello mushroom. Topped off my experience with the chocolate martini for dessert. Luscious.“
“For small town, Tavern, and restaurant, this is a real gem. The weight staff are great, the service is terrific, and the food is of high-quality. We live in the same town, and if we were a night out without stress, and expecting delicious food, this is our destination.“
“Love lane kitchen is a staple of Mattituck like Love Lane itself. Great food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service. Prices are fair. Unfortunately, this place like the rest of Love Lane becomes horribly overcrowded with tourists over the summer or weekends in pumpkin season. As a small restaurant, it gets CHAOTIC and completely ruins the experience if you try to sit down for a meal during these times. Rule of thumb - don't go in the summer or on weekends!“
“The Ribs were amazing! They’re consistent with each rib serving and they age them to its precise time when the tenderness is supreme and the taste has fully seeped into the bone. Therefore creating a chemical reaction that repels the meat from the bone, hence what we all love and know… the meat falling right off. Service is great. 10/10 experience!“
“Very nice restaurant, a part of an inn. very specious inside but there is also sitting outside which is nice as it is between 2 buildings and you have plenty of shade. We had the Claude's Tacos (recommended), Fish and Chips ( a it blend, but I loved it), Lobster Roll (on a ban, but still excellent).“
“We are so glad to have tried this place despite the word "cafe" in its name. Everything we ordered was delicious, and beautifully presented. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Really like the decor, simple, clean and peaceful. Definitely on the return list, and if I were you, I would ignore some of the not so positive reviews of the place and give it a try!“
“Visited On the Docks for dinner during a quick getaway to Aquebogue and was really impressed with the food and service. I wish I could remember our server’s name, but he was exceptionally pleasant and attentive, without being annoying. The food was great too. We had the oysters (which were very fresh) and duck wings to start and then split a fried seafood platter and everything was delicious and well prepared.“
“Such a sweet place with the best food we've had in as long as we can remember. I had the Eggs-in-a-Hole with the creamiest grits and best roasted tomatoes. The brioche bread was light and toasted perfectly. Hubby had the Crab Cake Benny on a biscuit that included fried green tomatoes and the best lemony hollandaise sauce. Even the decaf coffee was super tasty. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was perfect. Just the feeling you want when you go to wine country. We will be back.“
“The short rib pizza is a delight for your taste buds! I've never had anything like it! The Panini's are tremendous, and their fries are nice and crispy! Can't wait till they put the fireplace on in the winter. I I was surprised that it wasn't crowded, but I am realizing that I don't think everyone knows about this place. If you haven't been there, then you have to go! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Great place for adults, kids, and families.“
“Safe for those with food allergies and an all-around good time. Everyone is super friendly, too. Super close to main street for easy shopping or a pretty stroll after a good meal.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free is the big one, but they also have vegetarian and vegan options.“
“I cannot praise this restaurant and the staff enough. My boyfriend and I had the most incredible night here, EVER! We were so lucky to find this place last minute. The decor is beautiful, from the bar, the dining room, to the smoking lounge. The manager/bartender/server for the night, Dylan, went above and beyond to give us a great experience. Our waitress was friendly and polite, we were even lucky enough to meet the head chef and sous. We also met the wonderful Jazz couple that performed the night we went. We stayed here for *hours*. No exaggeration!FANTASTIC FOOD AND DRINKS!! And for someone who eats at a lot of places, the pricing for everything was more than reasonable, especially for the quality. I still tell the story of my visit here, and i’m going to for years to come. I am so excited to go back with my friends and family. If you’re considering any restaurant in Southampton, for real, try Main Prospect.“
“Nice little sandwich shop in Mattituck. We hit this place before going to a couple wineries nearby. The woman behind the counter was quite nice and told us about her few favorite sandwiches. We ordered fries, the game day, and Charlie's brother in law. Everything was tasty and fresh. The game day was delicious but could have used more sauce and honestly a little less chicken. Charlie's brother in law was perfect. Nice and lite. Fries had great seasoning/batter but unfortunately stuck together a bit. Will return!“
“Still thinking about my perfectly seasoned and cooked (so tender) bone in pork chop. Everyone loved their dishes. My beet salad appetizer was delicious , oysters fresh and a lovely glass of delicious Sicilian wine. Good value, great dining experience.“
“A proper family-owned and family-friendly pub with excellent food and extremely friendly service. Eclectic decor for extra comfiness.Fries - pillowy and crispy, thick cut - like in Dublin. Can't really go wrong with anything you order.Thank you, Front Street!“
“I was glad to read the review that you were going to restore the platter to the menu. I look forward to coming to the Hellenic snack bar again very soon to enjoy my favorite Greek food. No I'm not. I'm not saying that but now I put.“
“The lunch options were predominantly sandwiches, which I found to be both restrictive in choice. Moreover, I noticed that the menu leaned heavily towards carb-heavy dishes, making it challenging to find lighter options. Despite this, the food was great and the establishment exudes a distinct charm that sets it apart from others in the area. Service was commendable, adding to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, while there are some drawbacks, I would still recommend giving it a try for its unique atmosphere and enjoyable food.“
“My husband and I were getting desperate to find an interesting restaurant in the town of Southampton that didn't charge $31 for a plain Caesar salad and yet had good food and ambience. T-Bar surpassed our wishes to the point that we ate there 3 times during our month vacation in Southampton. The meatballs were superlative and the fish dishes unparalled. But on our third visit we found out that the best was yet to come as we decided to try eating at their outside area. It was bustling and beautiful. You'd never know you were on a street. A must go to.“
“Carla’s is THE BEST! I’ve been going there for a few years now and there’s obvious reasons for why. Over time they have become like family. Sweetest, most honest people you’ll ever meet. Carla’s has literally everything and anything you’ll be looking for!Thank you Carla and Fam !! XOXO“
“I've been going here for years. Love their service and the comfy booth seats. Their soups in the winter always make me happy too - cream of tomato is my favorite. It's worth noting that the diner food menu can be limited for low carb diet, but that's on me hahaha.Vegetarian options: Plant-based burgers available and clearly marked on the menu. They have a good selection for salads and sides, too.“
“This is actually called Tiki Joe's, it stopped being the Beach Hutt a few years back. Google, if you are reading this, please update your map. It's a great addition to a beautiful beach. Tiki Joe's has a restaurant, ice cream stand, beach shop, bar and live bands at night. There is plenty of seating and parking but you need to pay to park if you come before 5 pm during the summer. The only down side are the bathrooms. Only 2 stalls and one sink for the women, which is challenging for a place with a bar! Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.“
“We and our friend are elderly - the food and service were exceptional. We would like to commend the young lady who served us (did not catch her name) as absolutely outstanding from start to the finish - carling, attentive, amusing and simply a lovely person. Please pass our appreciation to her - Reservation at 6pm - Brashich. You should be proud of her. Neboysha R Brashich“
“SOOOO GOOOOD!! ~ such a FUN EXPERIENCE ??? trying the most AMAZZZZING FOODS~ you won’t find your typical run of the mill items on this tasting menu! Each dish is curated with the most unique ingredient pairings~ things you would never think to put together but are SOOOO GOOD!! Plus top it off with some wine OR you can bring your own for a corkage fee! DEF RECOMMEND!! PS~ our menu started out with baked sourdough bread~ of course even though I prefer an Atkins lifestyle ?, it looked soooo good I had to eat it~ but don’t get toooo full to fast! Meaning don’t get full on the bread because the next dishes to come are more than enough to get full so pace yourself~ ????~ XO!! ???“
“Hamburger and Texas style brisket were very delicious. Especially the brisket was very good. Chicken wings and cornbread weren't very good. The kale salad was very, very small for its price. In general, the prices are a little high and there are no sides with the meat. Service is a little slow as there are very few people working. The environment is decent and clean.“
“A friend was going on and on about this place, swearing by their Porterhouse steak. Stepping inside felt like stumbling upon a cozy dive-bar-meets-elegant-dining gem, with a charmingly "homey feel" that immediately puts you at ease. You could tell it is a spot that mostly only locals frequent. They gave us the nod to choose our own seat and we instantly felt at home. The waitress who greeted us was as friendly as she was eager to take our drink orders. I opted for the marinated steak over salad, while my husband ordered the marinated porterhouse. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, expertly cooked to perfection. Overall, it's exactly what they said it would be: cozy, with loads of character, and the servers are pretty friendly too. It's a dining experience you won't find anywhere else on the North Fork, a real adventure for your taste buds. Next time you're feeling like a carnivore, make sure you visit the elbow room in Jamesport. I hear they have another location, but I was told this is the best one. The verdict? The Elbow Room charmed its way into our hearts.“
“Sunday night, winter in a summer town and the food was incredible. Every taste and texture was thought out. The tilt to Korean with American dishes was unique. 5 people all left 100% satisfied. The bulgoki beef sandwich on special multigrain bread (like a Korean version of shaved steak) and triple cooked fries was to die for.“
“One of my favorite eateries in the Hamptons, and definitely the best Greek food around! A friend works at Westhampton Library and she and her coworkers would rave about this place, so I gave it a try and my expectations were exceeded! The hummus is so creamy and not too heavy on the tahini, a personal trait I really appreciate. The tzatziki sauce was some of the best I've ever had out too; it had a great garlic to creaminess ratio that's hard to find. I had a falafel gyro that was absolutely wonderful, it's my favorite thing to get there ever since. Everything was fresh and came with plenty of sides. My father had a lamb gyro, my sister had a beef gyro, and we all shared a classic Greek salad. There were plenty of leftovers and we loved the fresh ingredients in everything. The menu is expensive and reasonable, we can't wait to go back to try more!“
“We first visited Sophie's about 10 years ago-we were not impressed. Mostly fried food served in styrofoam plates and uncomfortable high-top tables. This past fall, we visited Sophie's again (first time in 10 years). WOW-what an improvement! Delicious marinated steak, fantastic clams-on real plates! Beautifully decorated, comfortable dining table and chairs, friendly staff-great food and drinks. We have returned several times since-always satisfied with our dining experience!! My one complaint-don't serve appys with plastic plates.“
“Truly a hidden gem. Being a native North-forker, this is a great addition to local cuisine. The food, the setting and service are outstanding and worth every penny. Having eaten here several times, every meal (the beef bourgeoned, duck and penne ala vodka) has been outstanding. One note of criticism that hopefully ownership will hear, the menu says "crispy half duck", which one would assume means a "half duck" that includes breast, thigh and leg all in one piece. What I got was two leg quarters, or the back half of the duck leaving me to think the chef was saving the breast meat for something else. While it was delicious, I felt gipped, and if the server had told me "no breast meat" I would have ordered something else. So maybe something to think about for the future........“
