“As a starter, we opted for the Chicken and Lemongrass dumplings, and let me tell you, they were absolutely divine! They're delicately steamed and served in a zesty ginger glaze, accompanied by a Thai dipping sauce. They're so delicious, you don't even need the dip! The marinated filet mignon steak tips also never fail to impress – they're consistently tender and bursting with flavor, making them a must-have every time we dine here. As for the main course, we invariably choose the baby back ribs. Good ribs are hard to come by in New York, but this spot has by far the best ones on the North Fork! The prices are reasonable, the cocktails consistently deliver on flavor, and the service is consistently excellent... all in all, just exceptional across the board.“
“We first visited Sophie's about 10 years ago-we were not impressed. Mostly fried food served in styrofoam plates and uncomfortable high-top tables. This past fall, we visited Sophie's again (first time in 10 years). WOW-what an improvement! Delicious marinated steak, fantastic clams-on real plates! Beautifully decorated, comfortable dining table and chairs, friendly staff-great food and drinks. We have returned several times since-always satisfied with our dining experience!! My one complaint-don't serve appys with plastic plates.“
“Special and unique combinations of flavors. The tempura squash comes with a paprika dusting which really elevates the dish. The tempura was also perfectly crisp. The fish was all very fresh and the catch of the day dish comes in a really tasty and zesty broth which complements the fish very well. The restaurant seems to combine local fresh ingredients very well. Although the tuna in the tartare was very fresh and good, there was slightly too much soy sauce in the broth which made it just a bit too sweet. The duck tot is a nice idea but the caviar wasn't the beat quality. The bread should have been warmed more, the center was always cold. And the service was incredibly slow - 2 hour meal. “Want to give a huge shout out to the owners of Chenzas Twisted Tacos! I was passing through with my family the last few evenings, but was never able to get there before close. Last night, at about a few minutes to 8pm, which is closing time, I stopped and the owners took great care of us. Anywhere else and typically you would get “sorry, it’s closing crime!” This was not the case at Chenzas Twisted Tacos! They fired up the grill, fryer, and whatever else to accommodate my family and I. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the place was immaculate. The owners took great care of us and treated us like family. We will definitely be back!“
“I can not tell you how what I felt walking into this place with a nostalgic feel of the country and a mom and pops feel shop cozy and calm. Stress free. My coworker and I ordered a Italian on a roll. Wanted a hero but they were sold out. You know what they did? Packed the roll so big it made up for what we wanted and it was one of the best we ever ate. God bless you and the sweet woman back there. I hope we will be out there more to get more from you. So generous and caring. After eating that sandwich I wanted to give you guys a hug for how well you took care of us. Thank you. We will be back. If anyone is doubting just do it. “Commendable from every aspect. Parking, waitstaff, view, and most importantly, the dinner. Another delicious experience from appetizers to desserts. Our table enjoyed the baby back ribs and burrata with figs as a start. Entrees included the filet mignon and the local striped bass. Vegetarian opted for the portobello mushroom. Topped off my experience with the chocolate martini for dessert. Luscious.“
“Love lane kitchen is a staple of Mattituck like Love Lane itself. Great food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service. Prices are fair. Unfortunately, this place like the rest of Love Lane becomes horribly overcrowded with tourists over the summer or weekends in pumpkin season. As a small restaurant, it gets CHAOTIC and completely ruins the experience if you try to sit down for a meal during these times. Rule of thumb - don't go in the summer or on weekends!“
“The Ribs were amazing! They’re consistent with each rib serving and they age them to its precise time when the tenderness is supreme and the taste has fully seeped into the bone. Therefore creating a chemical reaction that repels the meat from the bone, hence what we all love and know… the meat falling right off. Service is great. 10/10 experience!“
