“Had lunch here today with an old friend& neighbor of mine, it’s been at least20 plus years since I was here last, great& nice wait staff and delicious food, calamari special with peppers in a vinegar sauce, great pounded veal pizzolia, with a side of great Al dente rigatoni , plus veal parm & a great slice of chocolate cake. THIS PLACE!! After a long international flight into JFK and driving back to Boston with hungry kids, I stumbled on Da Giorgio, and it changed everything. The restaurant was packed but we were seated in minutes, surrounded by people talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves.

Our waiter was attentive, dinner started with fresh homemade baked bread and churned butter. Everything looked handpicked, fresh that day, and every dish was outstanding. My wife’s seafood fra diavolo was the best she’s ever had, my kids devoured their pasta, and my spaghetti and meatballs were so good I had to admit (sorry Mom in heaven), even though I'd get slapped for saying, they were the best I’ve ever tasted.

The chef even came out to greet guests.. a rare and special touch. I’ll be stopping here every trip into the City, and I can’t wait to dive deeper and deeper into the extensive and authentic menu. Truly amazing!“

I have to start off by saying our waitress, Monica, was wonderful ! She had such an amazing personality, was super friendly and helpful. I had the pan seared chicken which was to die for and the meatball appetizer tasted wonderful. “I took my family to la riserva last week. We had an amazing dinner. My girls loved the pasta fagioli!!! They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. Our waitress was knowledgeable and everything came out in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend la riserva to my friends.“

“Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. Yesterday, when we got our order to Sloatsburg, there was an omission in the order ( we really should have checked before we left). As always, Dom’s went above and beyond to make this right. They drove my order to Sloatsburg and included several delicious extras! Their catering always makes our events delicious, but yesterday they made it extra delicious. Dom’s has amazing food and even better service.“

“My husband and I went for dinner. We had a reservation and was greeted by the hostess, Madeline, who sat us right away. She was such a delight. She checked on us during dinner to make sure everything was going well. The chef also came to say hello and to make sure everything was to our liking. It totally was!! We ordered too much food because it was hard to decide on one thing. Shrimp cocktail and calamari appetizers. So good! Each was more than enough for two people! We ordered dinner from the 'specials' menu. Hubby had the 12oz grilled ribeye... and couldn't eat it all. I ordered the beef short ribs...sooo tender! Everything was delicious, including the drinks! The servers were awesome and very attentive! We'll definitely be back!!“

My friend and I both had the minestrone soup and the fennel salad with shrimp, expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Capping off our experience, our reservation was intentionally set for 6:30 PM - in August 2024, Saturday dnnertime entertainment is jazz standards in chord melody form expertly played by Raphael Silverman on a gorgeous Gibson Johnny Smith archtop guitar through a Henrikson Bud Six amp. “This location i have come to a few times. It has progressively become better and better.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quite, while there is a great social bar, with very nice accomodationimg staff and the downtown has become much better than it use to be that this hotel is right within.

Only downside I've experienced is the up charge fee for late checkout. Normally around the world a late checkout there is not a secondary charge of you request up till 1-2pm. Unfortunately this hotel is going with the US trend of charging consumers for needing a later checkout even if you checking at 11pm bc of late travel etc.. Only down on have to say, but hotel it top notch“
