“Best Italian deli in NY hands down. End of story, no discussion. Get the Tonys special, get a panini, get the home cooked plates (chicken parm is amazing) , get anything... it is all amazing. The staff are the friendliest guys around and just hanging out there and listening to the convo's feels like you have been warped in to a Scorsese movie. Make sure to also try the frozen cappucino.“

“Thank God there are still places like this on Long Island. Old school Italian deli. I stopped by because I was in the area and read the reviews. Ordered an Italian hero with hot cherry peppers. Just delicious. Ate half brought my wife the rest. Ofcourse I can't wait for the hero to be made and not grab a Manhattan special vanilla creme soda.... and a fresh Mozz.... and a loaf of Italian bread.. lol. “Forget bout everywhere else. Joe’s is the place to go. Mozzarella is the best - light airy milky and when you ask for unsalted you get unsalted. Only problem is that they run out of items if it’s later in the day. So go early.“

I reminded her of Tinos, where we have in the past got 3 foot heroes and antipasto platters. We called and that was all she wrote! Delivery on time and the food was out of this world!! “I was working locally and decided to grab lunch from Wheeler Deli after reading the reviews. The deli is smaller and quaint but has a large case of Boars Head meats, salads, and desserts. I ordered an American Hero, sides of macaroni salad, and potato salad, and a piece of the banana bread. They got right to making my order and the wait time was less than 5 minutes. My sandwich was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The salads were creamy and had great flavor. The banana bread was outstanding; dense and sweet and flavorful. The total for food and a drink was less than $25 which was a great value. I’ll be back.“

“My son and I went here after I did my research to find the best delis in Hell’s Kitchen, and this was consistently the top answer. We had limited time in NYC, so every place we visited had to count, and Sergimmo’s did not disappoint. I had a Caesar salad, while my son had a Pasta al Pomodoro e Basilico. Both were great, and so was the shop owner’s treatment of us, obviously not from around the area. Next time we’re in NYC, we’ll be back!“

“I've been coming from Orange County every week for the last 2 years to watch my grandsons a few days each week. We make it part of our day to take a walk and always stop in for a snack or a sandwhich. Sam and his wife are lovely, friendly people and always make a fuss over the babies. The store is immaculate and the Korean food is not to be missed. The Bulgogi hero is my favorite go to sandwhich....Highly recommend !“

“Solid Queens NY style Bodega, with solid prices. They season their tomatoes. An oft overlooked game changer when it comes to sandwiches.

Their bagel lox was delicious, bagels had a chew but were still easy to eat, and the Chopped Cheese was exceptional.

“The hot food here (Latin Food) is made fresh daily and it's pretty. You get a decent portion for 1 for $5. Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. Not much on the negative to say except that it would be nice if they carried a larger variety of drink but from canned goods to cleaning supplies to house hold items and an ATM this deli has a lot to offer at good prices.“

“I just got back from a trip to NYC and my brother-in-law treated us to dinner from The Halal Guys in Midtown and I knew it would be good since it was the only food cart with a block-long line after midnight. In fact I liked it so much I wanted to see if I could get something similar nearby... and I found it! I got the chicken and lamb over rice combo and while it wasn't quite the same it was still very good. The only difference is it didn't come with the pita bread and the white sauce tasted a bit different, but not bad. It also has more veggies so more "crunch" but next time I'm going to ask to leave them off (I just don't like the crunch...). I'm very happy to have a local option at a good price and generous portions. Thank you Sam's.“

Its my faukt though I know netter to watch my food being prepared and making sure all the ingredients are there. AI havent really fully enjoyed the sandwich becuae its missing a key ingredient. It hapoened again today. Gbey write the order down perfect on the ticjetbut the sandwich doesnt have evefything on it . “Great sandwiches. Good staff. Great hot food. But the prices are unaffordable and at this point as much as I love the food, I won't return ever. Ordered 2 heros. Philly cheese steak and a chicken cutlet hero fresh mutz. 1 order of lasagna about 5 inch square and a tiny rice pudding.
Total price 55 dollars.
Sigh. Smh.
Great store. Great food.
But like I said , absolutely unaffordable

“Our go-to place every time we visit Long Island. While their sandwiches are great, I’ve gotta say that their sausage is fantastic- it’s a toss up between the hot Italian or the fennel sausage, both are made in house. Wish I had a place like this near where I live in New Jersey.“

“The Food is great. The staff is great. They put TLC(Tender Love & Care) in the food and they care about home cooked meals.

My only issue is the people who come and order food have no manners and very easily overwhelm the small Deli. Perhaps a better system or a line & waiting area to keep the neighborhood locals in check would help.

Currently, if you call and order ahead of time to pickup your food, you will not have to deal with any problems.
