“Beautiful Day trip locale! There are several lil eateries and shops with local art or Bill's gear. The view is gorgeous and even though parking is limited, we found a spot easily. We had an energy fruit drink at the bakery which we loved, got the mini donuts too they were tasty but a little tough. Also tried the pizza which was really good, except the sauce is sweet, but the crust was delightful and the slices are huuuuggggge. The souvenir shops were absolutely wonderful and both owners were extremely kind and friendly. Finally, we got a couple frozen drinks from the Irish pub, very cool hangout with a unique fun vibe and decor. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will absolutely be back for a mini day vacay!“

64 on the pier Bar • $$
The pier, Dunkirk

“A nice car and eats shop, overlooking the Dunkirk harbor. There's a bathroom and also the one on the pier for everyone else. Order drinks at the bar, no taps - but plenty of cans of beer, and mixers of whatever you'd like. Order food from the kitchen, and it will be brought to where you are. You can run a tab, or have it combined for food and drinks. Seating available on the waterfront as well. Some vegetarian friendly sandwiches, and really good paninis for a good price. Ours came with chips, or seafood (homemade) salad on the side.“

“We had a great and fun visit here: 5 of us on a Friday afternoon.... A couple of us got the flight, which was a great deal, and we got several cans for consumption there and to go. We got a table and sat in the back for a long time and played some table games. We will be back the next time we're in town!“

Nickel Plate Depot Bar • $
131 Central Ave, Brocton - 8.32 miles

“Wow, Wow, Wow. Several weeks ago we visited the Nickel Plate for the first time on a Sunday for dinner with friends. The young man who acted as bartender and server was most hospitable and did a superb job. Food was great and the prices are very reasonable. The place is laid back and very close to the railroad tracks so train lovers will get a thrill. Our second visit was this past Monday which happened to be "open mike night" starting at 7. The food again was excellent and the musical talent was great. You really need to put this hidden jem on your bucket list. By the way we hear that Wednesdays are 50 cent wing night and they are reported to be very good. Also on Mondays they had $5.99 4 ounce burger or roast beef on wick for the same price.“

“You kinda gotta have a certain taste for music and atmosphere. However, it has the nicest staff and most welcoming regulars. The food is just genuinely good and the drinks are not skimpy by any definition. Rather be here than most bars in WNY.“
