“We dined at the Majors Restaurant in East Meadow. Dinner was delicious. I have no complaints about that. Here is my issue. Little, but it’s the principle. My husband ordered a cup of coffee after our $158 Dinner. The coffee came and when he put milk in it, I noticed it was really dark. I tasted it. WOW it was burnt, old & muddy. I called the waiter over and asked for a new brewed cup of coffee. He came back with a cup from the SAME pot. Normally I would of just moved on & left it. But when the bill came we were charged $3.50. For 1 cup of burnt coffee? Sorry it was the principle. If you are going to charge your clients $3.50 for a cup of coffee, invest in a Keurig where every cup is fresh. You make a great margin per cup?“

“Our favorite tapas place. This evening we had the short rib bruschetta, the meat melts in your mouth. The truffle fries are amazing as always. The funghi pizza was delicious! Our server Eddie was attentive without being overbearing. A+ as always.“

“From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, this restaurant was amazing. Monroe’s offers a cozy feel, with amazing staff and welcoming smiles. We started out with drinks and appetizers. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped guide us to delicious appetizer choices. I had the eggplant rollatini special and my dad had the clams orreganata. I order items with vodka sauce quite frequently and this was the best I have ever had. It was smooth and creamy with amazing flavor! The homemade focaccias bread was delicious and airy, the perfect piece of bread to soak up the remainder of the sauces from our appetizers (because it was too good to leave a single drop). For dinner I ordered the skirt steak, medium rare. The marinade was sensational, and the skirt steak cut like butter! It was cooked to perfection. Even the vegetables and potatoes it came with were delicious. My dad ordered the penne Ala vodka and added chicken cutlet to the dish. He couldn’t stop raving about it. We were so full after our appetizers and main entrees, but the dessert menu was too tempting. We shared a slice of the raspberry cheesecake and oh my goodness, if you like cheesecake, order this! They make it in house and it was the perfect sweet treat to end our dining experience. I paired it with a cappuccino. Monroe’s doesn’t disappoint, even to the last detail. My cappuccino had a cute cinnamon heart on top. Overall, Monroe’s was truly a delightful and pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning and recommending to all of our friends and family!“

“You couldn't ask for a better evening from the moment we walked in till we walked out. We arrived early to have a cocktail first. Hostess greeted us with Happy Anniversary. Daycare the bar and bartender wished us Happy Anniversary. Not sure how she knew. Went inside for dinner. Table decorated with some confetti and 50 number pieces. There was a rose on the table and a card. Waiter wished us Happy Anniversary and brought 2 glasses of champagne. A waitress who served us months ago saw us and stopped to wish us a Happy Anniversary. Anyway on to the food. We ordered appetizers and waiter said no rush to order dinner. Relax and enjoy your occasion. Had the lump crab cocktail. Amazing!! And a wedge salad which they chopped and split in half. For dinner my wife had lamb chop special. Kona and balsamic coated lamb chops. I had regular order of lamb chops. They were excellent!! And we ordered appetizers special potato side dish. Also very good. They then brought out an anniversary dessert which we had with coffee. And on way out the door, maitre D wished us Happy Anniversary also. A very special evening indeed.“

“As always I give this restaurant 5 stars. Met friends for dinner on Sunday night. The service is exceptional. All of us had something different and we all enjoyed our food. My friend did a price fixed with filet of sole and said it was delicious. The brussel sprouts appetizer was excellent. We also started with fried calamari, though small portion, was good. I had a hamburger which was huge with the onions and musrooms. The burger was cooked to perfection. The other two in our party also finished their food. It was very quiet so we were able to communicate easily with our friends.“

“Yes, there are gluten free items here that are marked on the menu HOWEVER I thankfully had a waitress that basically said that their is airborne flour everywhere and that cross contamination is almost guaranteed for anything baked in the oven with the pizza (for example their baked GF chicken Parm dish). I was so appreciative how clear she was, saying that the gluten free pasta is boiled separately though they still can't guarantee it is celiac-safe. I risked it and got a pasta dish and fortunately didn't get sick. I hope they can find a way to make truly Celiac safe gluten free foods because their GF pasta was phenomenal!“
