“I took my family to la riserva last week. We had an amazing dinner. My girls loved the pasta fagioli!!! They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. Our waitress was knowledgeable and everything came out in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend la riserva to my friends.“

“Wife and I flew into JFK late one Friday. We were famished , it was 1030 by the time we got to Arthur Ave.. We parked and walked , came upon people eating alfresco. We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. In no time we had a bottle of Vino Tinto in front of us and people were making us try food they were dining on. I felt like I was at my friends ,' THE PIAZZAS " house. “I heard about this restaurant on tik tok and decided to take my mom here for Mother's Day! I was expecting to do brunch, however they were doing a strict prix fixe Mother's Day menu, which were more lunch-based options. Although I was disappointed with that—the service, ambiance and food made up for it and exceeded my expectations! The clams and salmon focaccia are to die for! So are the pizza and cocktails! I got the Bianca pizza - DELISH & the amalfi cocktail was chef's kiss! The staff was so attentive and accommodating and I can't wait to go back. Shout out to Michelle for making my first experience so amazing! They also have valet parking as well.“

“The food here is excellent. Started with the artichokes and burrata, super fresh, super flavorful. Perfect sized dishes to start. We then had the mussels special and eggplant dish. Both fabulous. For mains we had the sea bass and lamb parpadelle, incredible! Braised for 9 hours, it was delectable. The service is wonderful, everyone is so kind. The restaurant is beautiful inside, perfect dining experience. Can’t wait to go back and try new menu items.“

“Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. Food was outstanding.
We started with special mixed seafood in 2 large clam shells.
Dining partner had softshell crab (2) over linguini and he said it was the best softshell crab prep he ever had.
I had Chilean Sea Bass in a lobster bisque sauce with sweet potato crust over spinach.
Finished the meal with tartufo. Rich dark chocolate shell.
The chef has a flare for bringing out flavors with his combinations.“

“As a creature of habit, when I find something I like, I keep ordering it forever and ever. And as an ex-pat, born-and-raised Italian, pizza is akin to religion and a great tasting pizza is akin to experiencing the Beatific Vision! But enough with the Catholic references! Let’s talk about P&M’s pizza! I have been ordering my usual extra-large pie (half “margherita” and the other half “salsiccia”) since 2008! Over the years, I got to know the owner (who personally makes the pies) and he goes to great lengths to find the best quality ingredients for his pizzas. And you can taste the difference in the flavor of the tomato sauce, the mozzarella cheese, the olive oil, the herbs. As all Italians know, a good pizza begins with the the base—the dough or crust—that must be a perfect balance of crispy-and-chewy, and P&M’s nails it each and every time!

The pie I ordered yesterday was $23 plus tax, (unheard of!!!) which was delivered to my doorstep in less than 20 minutes (please tip your delivery guy) together with a coupon. After you collect 9 coupons, your 10th extra-large, “margherita” pizza is free!!! In 16 years of ordering from P&M, I’ve enjoyed quite a number of free pizzas too!

P&M Classic Pizza and Restaurant is THE place if you want to experience the best pizza in Hamilton Heights!

PS. I didn’t give a star-review for the category “atmosphere” because in 16 years, I’ve only ordered for delivery (I told you I’m a creature of habit).

“Perla is the gem of Modern!!! The scallops and lychee martinis are amazing as well! But our waitress extraordinaire with the fabulous hair, made our ladies night memorable. “My husband and I had another terrific meal at Broadway Bistro last evening.
We ordered from the special prix fixe menu that had so many great choices, it was hard to choose.
We settled on the scallops over polenta and the spring rolls with teryaki to start, and the panko horseradish flounder and grilled shrimp salad. Desert was the poached pear with raspberry sorbet.
Everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The wait staff is friendly and extremely efficient, and just make dining there such a terrific experience!“

He created a fantastic menu and was able to accommodate all dietary restrictions while keeping the meal, smooth, consistent, and absolutely delicious. He is not only a delight to work with, but incredibly easy to coordinate with. He was such a pleasure to have in the kitchen, helped me prepare the table and made me feel at ease, even though it was very probable that our outdoor celebration might get ruined by the rain. 12 out of 10 if you’re hosting a dinner party in the Hamptons or in Aspen, he is your guy.
