“Like a light at the end of a dark tunnel, Rodney’s came to the rescue! We initially went for lunch at a very new, trendy new spot on Lakeshore Road. After a 20 minute wait, we were seated. The place was so loud! No band. No loud music. Just loud everything else. People talking, dishes clanking and who knows what else, it was so loud. There’s no way you could carry on a conversation without shouting. So we left right away. Next we tried a popular seafood restaurant nearby and were treated like second-class citizens just by inquiring how long the wait was. Out of there. Rodney’s was almost across the street so we went there. Best idea ever! Our hostess was friendly. Our server was a hoot. Funny, helpful and got everything exactly right. The food was excellent too. A cozy, clean spot right by the lake. I recommend Rodney’s highly.“

“Best lake side view. Amazing sunset watching opportunity. The restaurant is nicely designed so that all seating is by the windows or by the lakeside. They do not take reservations. The food taste was average. Good seafood options. In our group some received their order after others finished theirs. I would go there again for the lake and sunset view.“

“Visited for the first time with my mom on 1/31/26. Friendly, hard working host sat us within 10 minutes. We ordered a drink at the bar and chatted with the bartender, he was fluent in the menu and preparations. Our server was equally informative, she was very busy, only wished we had a bit more attention but, it was a busy Saturday. We ordered the Meatloaf Tower and the Shrimp and Scallop dinners. Both were very good, served with warm bread, salad and side. Meatloaf was a bit dense but good, Shrimp and Scallops were cooked to perfection in a garlicky butter and the vegetables with that dish were outstanding.“

“First time coming in and I felt so welcome! The bartender was warm, kind and she basically suggested my food and drink order! We had a great conversation about sports and travel and she suggested a few of her favorites in Buffalo. I am here for work so having suggestions of places to check out was helpful. The place was clean inside, though outside there is some kind of construction. When I see construction I can only assume business is good. There were a ton of TVs and it’s so close to the new stadium the view is great. . They have a big menu! Note to self, always go with workers options. I got the banana peppers and the signature flavored wings as the bartender suggested. The food was amazing. The service was top notch, the ambience was also nice. Bernadette was the name of my bartender. I believe she said she works during the day on Fridays and Saturdays. Will def be back“

From the beautiful bar and the super friendly and funny host, to our server Nicole B. and the perfect menu options- everything was amazing. “While we have always enjoyed our meals at The Mansard in the past, our last two visits have been uninspiring. Our most recent visit on 8/3 was average at best. The bartender had BOTH sliding glass doors (no screens) open in the bar area causing swarms of flies to circle us our ENTIRE meal, in the dining area. Although friendly, our waitress said there were no specials that evening, after I specifically asked what the specials were. I overheard other waitresses telling patrons what the specials were, so I knew there WERE specials. The musty smell of the stained drapery needs to be replaced ASAP, as the odor hits you as soon as you get to the front door. Please be better and ACT like the "fine" dining restaurant you want to be! Very disappointed...The food is the ONLY thing worth coming to The Mansard for...We miss Steve!!“

“very pricey and small portions..coworker got steak in the grass sandwich and sweet potato fries and with tax and takeout fee it was 24 dollars..souvlaki wrap and fries was 17 dollars..a super basic cold tuna sandwich with fries was 16 dollars..this place used to be great but has went downhill the past few years..they've lost my business“

“It got VERY busy when we were there and yet our waitress was flawless. Cheerful and polite too!
The food was very good and served hot! The coffee was awesome being served in a little pot left at our table.

I was charged $23.99 for shrimp scampi and much smaller portion from past order. Fish fry was listed as $15.99 was charged 21.99.
