“We attended a Bengali wedding event here just this past week for the Gaye Holud ceremony. The event space and staff were absolutely wonderful. The staff was very accommodating and we had an extremely smooth experience. The food was well prepared and delicious. They were able to cater to both a Western and South Asian palette. The event space itself is beautiful and overall this experience was perfect for our needs.“
“Hands down best dosa, idli, vada, chutney, upma, pongal, mysore pak, and madras coffee. You can do Abhishek in Ganesh temple upstairs on a full stomach. Very satisfying and may improve your karma! Just not on a weekend though when it's crazy packed.“
“We loved the food at Kamala Kitchen. The taste and quality of the dishes were amazing. It was pure nostalgia for me to be able to experience authentic Kolkata-style Bengali food in NY. Along with the food, the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Overall, the ambiance was warm and casual with awesome food. If you are in NY and love Bengali cuisine, this place is a must-visit.“
“I came to Shaheen sweets of Queens on Friday to pick up some mithai for my friend's nikkah in the early morning.Just wanted to tell you how amazing your sweets are. Which is really an understatement...I personally do not like sweets but I couldn't stop eating the variety that you all had packed for me.Jazakallah!!May Allah swt continue to give u Barakah in all that you do.In Shaa Allah I will be back soon for some more mithai. The best mithai hands down!!!“
“I enjoyed that chicken masala sandwich, very desi style yet super delicious. The price is reasonable, staffs were friendly and the ambiance is good enough. The only issue maybe parking issues during busy times such as Friday night.Dietary restrictions: Halal chicken“
“In my opinion the best Indian food in the Kew Gardens area. The chicken vindaloo and garlic naan where great. My wife and I also tried the lamb biryani, which was to die for. The owner is friendly and my made our afternoon even better with his excellent and personal service.“
“After a long time has a peferct sarso ka saag . Totally punjabi style...without tomatoes.. the Makki ki roti remained soft till i got home.. I would rate this as perfect. “Amazing food! Our server Nush was attentive and friendly. The open kitchen, artwork and decor were tasteful and modern. We weren't crazy about one of the cocktails. They removed it from our check and let us try a sample of an alternate drink which we ended up ordering.“
“Great sweets. Everything was really fresh. We picked up some sweets for family and everyone loved how fresh it was. I want to go back and try other sweets and maybe some samosas and other menu items. They also let us try things too. Only issue we had was we went late and they ran out of some stuff but that’s expected late in the day I guess“
“I purchased a chicken roti for the first time, I usually purchase goat roti. I was a bit disappointed because they didn't cut the chicken for roti. Other than that the dhalpuri and the vegetables were on point.I purchased doubles for the first time because my sis was coming to town. I told them I wanted everything, which I meant the sauces. I got beef in my doubles also??♀️. Next time I have to be specific?.“
“It is the BEST south Indian veg food I ever had in NewYork.Taste wise and quality wise...it's the best best food.Dosa and Vada and chutney is so delicious.Coconut chutney (this restaurant makes it in authentic way)So happy I went there. But I really suggest them to change their mode of table service.“
“OMG so delicious! It was my first time trying Indian food and the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan was like a warm hug to my soul. This place is great can’t wait to come back. My only critique is that I would’ve loved more chicken with my order it’s sliced thin and a little too sparse. But it was so yummy I wouldn’t take off a star for this.“
“My friends and I were craving indian food after an event at Citi Field and decided to try this place after search google maps. The food is AMAZING! The friend okra is so unique from other places and so delicious it randomly pops into my brain. The wings are also delicious so try those too.Good food is one thing, but the attentativeness of the staff was top tier. The were pleasant and the service was excellent. Our waiter Adnan was a pleasure to meet.“
“Most of the dishes were good, although a little disappointing to see chicken lollipops were made out of Drumsticks instead of the wings. Service was good, but it was expected as the place was deserted when we went for dinner. Ambiance is mediocre. Would go there again only for the food.Vegetarian options: They have all the usual Indian veggie options.“
“We got some food packed to go. The idlis were soft and freshly prepared. Chutney was good but the sambar was watery. We also got a plate of thali. They gave us chole, daal and sabzi (veg). All the dishes were spicy for our palate.Overall a decent meal at a reasonable price.“
“During my recent visit to NY, I happened to visit this restaurant for the first time. The food was authentic and tasty. The ambience was good and the service was great. I would surely go back to this restaurant next time I visit Queens, NY.“
“This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the city by far. It is open super late which is great for late night workers like myself. I am a vegetarian and there is a large selection of vegetarian options here, not sure about pure vegans but there should be plenty of options for them to as they have a large vegetarian selection with out dairy products. They are very accommodating to all dietary types on the staff is extremely friendly. I come here quite often and I’ve got to know some of the staff a little bit overtime. They know you and your order and they are very accommodating if you have any dietary restrictions. This place is a great place to bring groups of people. I particularly like the nan. Their coconut nan is really interesting and good. I always get the vegetable soup here which is excellent and they have a large selection of vegetarian/vegan type Currys of which I get many. I really like the lemon rice as well. Their samosas are really fire.Vegetarian options: Large selection of veg appetizers and mains.Dietary restrictions: Perfect for vegetarians.Parking: Lots of free parking spaces right in front of the restaurant.“
“Super cozy, friendly, and delicious food. Tofu curry is a must ??Vegetarian options: Tofu Curry is awesome!Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options availableKid-friendliness: Theres a bar but its pretty low key and cozyWheelchair accessibility: Small ramp right in the front door.“
“Shahi Catering on Braddock really pulls through. The chicken tiki massala was very succulent and flavorful alongside the freshly made jasmine rice. Best of all was the delicious garlic nann... perfect texture, nice thick garlic without being too much. The food came out to a beyond reasonable price. 5/4 ?! I definitely recommend dining at this hidden jewel of a spot. ???“
“I came here with my wife while staying at a nearby hotel and it was awesome! The owner, Niven, was extremely friendly and nice. All of the food was amazing including a donut - like dessert we got to try too. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the area. We both thoroughly enjoyed the chicken Tikka Masala and butter Naan.“
“Nestled on 39th Ave, Ayna Agra is a hidden gem for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. My wife and I frequent this establishment weekly, and each visit is a culinary delight. From the warm welcome to the attentive service, the owner and his staff treat patrons like family, creating a memorable dining experience. But what truly sets Ayna Agra apart is its exceptional food. From chicken tikka masala to aromatic biryanis, every dish is a masterpiece of flavor and consistency. For an unforgettable taste of India, Ayna Agra is the perfect choice. Five stars hardly do justice to this culinary gem.“
“Fresh food and great service! This is my first time here and I have to say the food here is phenomenal. For every bite I took I can taste the spices and flavor. The staff that work here are kind and friendly. I ordered two chicken kebab rolls, two chicken samosa, and one veggie roll to go. Also I couldn’t forget that tea that is much more delicious than any other spot in starling. This gem can’t be missed! I highly recommend this location!“
“We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Chaat Wala. The papri chaat and golgape were expertly prepared and delicious. Ingredients were fresh, presentation was excellent. We also had delicious chicken kebab and butter chicken. Our server Farhana was so kind, professional and attentive! We would love to keep in the know about your next endeavor!“
“The food is good. Service is fast, the lady that works at the resister is nice and friendly. One thing I don’t like is the naan , when I order it to go it close to burnt or too dark over cooked so when u order remind them to not make it too dark.“
“In one word everything was so perfect!!I arranged a small surprise bridal shower party for my sister and we were all together 15 people and the restaurant and 2 owners did a very good job from helping decorating, serving food to every little details they were aware of.The floral background decoration was already there we just setup the table.Everything was perfectly perfect.Best wishes for the new restaurants and the food was ???Also convenient lication, available parking nearest blocks. Please go and check it out.Parking: I’m front of the restaurant is paid parking availableNearest residential blocks have free street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Anyone with wheelchair can easily get inside.“
“This place was excellent, we had the vegetable samosas, chicken korma and biryani all cooked and seasoned perfectly. The service was great. They are a byob restaurant but no worries, you can buy a bottle of wine/beer across the street and bring it with you. We’ll be back!“
“I've never had any food from here that I did not like and I'm very particular about what I eat. Not only is the food really good, they give good portions and the prices are fair. My absolute favorite is the stewed pork on a double with chickpeas, shadowbenny and tamarind sauce. 10/10 recommend! The staff is cool and the atmosphere is really laid back. They have a bar inside but I've never dined in. They also have a seating area, but the restaurant is mostly good for takeout. My mouth is watering just thinking about all of the delicious food there as I write my review! lol“
“One of my family's favorite vegetarian restaurants! The Samosas are my personal favorite. The vibe in there is very nice and calm with a stunning interior, soothing music, and ambient lighting. Overall a great place and not too expensive.“
“I have ordered soya champ biryani i have been in America from 2 years but never ever eaten food like this its of indian taste i loved it and if anybody wants to eat indian food then i highly recommend this place its one place for every food and fresh i love the taste of biryani i go daily to eat things i guarantee if you go that place you can go again......“
“One of the best Indian restaurants in/around Nassau. I have no time to go to Jackson Highets, but this place accommodates our craving for good Indian foods. Samosa Chaat here is a gem. I can eat this forever. I also love their butter chicken and garlic naan. Service is super good. A young Indian man is always behind the counter to serve. He is very friendly and kind.“
“Amazing food all around. Had the sweet corn soup and samosa chaat as starters, and they were both really good. The samosa chaat had the right spice level!Veg Hakka noodles is the main I got while my partner got Singapore noodles with shrimp. The Hakka noodles were perfection in texture, not oily, not soggy, just right and very generous portions too. Needed a little bit of salt but that's easily fixed and I'd rather have less salt in a dish than too much!Partner said the shrimp was cooked beautifully in their noodles and was very flavourful.Had the ras Malai for dessert and it was really good too. As previous reviews have mentioned, Tanveer was an excellent server and was very sweet and helpful. The restaurant is very clean, has really good table settings and overall the atmosphere is cosy for a dine in. Highly recommend them for their food + all around service.“
“First time there. Food was good, the goat portion was good. I ordered a chicken dish and a Gobi Manchurian both were very small in portion size the Gobi, regarding the chicken the sauce was really good the chicken wasn't enough for even a child.I will eat here again!“
“The food is great, and Mother approved as its halal! I got 5 buss up shot roti and buncha veggies to go for breakfast. 2 different eggplant dishes, one of which is salsa consistency with onion and peppers. Also, curried channa, and aloo with pole beans as well as dhal, and few other mixed veggies. Everything was delicious with the roti. The roti was made fresh, so I had to wait 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and the place is clean and intimate with a few small tables. It's like eating a nice home cooked meal.“
“Can’t go wrong here. Whether you’re dining in or having take out, I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. I pretty switch it up when coming here, and every time I’m impressed. It’s a clean and friendly place. Make this your next go to spot.“

“Mahal has fast become my wife and my favorite restaurant on Long Island. Growing up i was always told Indian food was “spicy” so I had always been sort of scared to try it. Akbar was my first experience with Indian food and they're great but Mahal is next level. Last night Mahal was as full as I've ever seen it. As usual, every dish we ordered was outstanding. I usually order the chicken tikka masala but wanted to be more adventurous so I ordered the Rohan Josh - a goat dish which was tender and flavorful. We got a lump crabmeat appetizer and vegetable samosas that were moist and tasty. We brought our four year old son whom we weren't sure would enjoy the food but he had some roti and was loving it before one of the managers came to check on us and he asked if we'd like some French fries for him. It being an Indian restaurant, this wasn't something we even thought they made but they went out of their way to make him a special plate of fries which he devoured. Dessert was delicious too, I don't remember the name of it but it was condensed milk on small pastries with a bit of ice cream in the middle. There's a drink I always order - jalepeno margarita which is my favorite drink I've ever ordered anywhere. What I like most about this restaurant is that while last night was busy, we never had a single server helping us. We had no fewer than six people including two gentlemen who appeared to be owners or managers who checked on us to make sure we were happy. Top notch food and service and I can't wait to visit again!“
“Came here Sunday evening. The place was empty but it seemed like they had a lot of out going orders. We ordered an appetizer of a chickpea thing and it was so yummy! All 3 of us ordered different types of chicken. All 3 were delicious. Service was fast. I wish we got more of the bread crackers with the oil in the beginning. There are mobile menus and physical menus too. I can't wait to come back or order out again. Everything was so fresh.“
“The best West Indian food in the Bronx in my opinion.Everything is cooked and seasoned well, can order anything off the menu and it will taste good.It is reasonably priced, customer service is great, there is a reason it has been a neighborhood staple for so long.“
“Royal tangra masala is the best indo Chinese fusion place I have ever been to and to even go further than that it is THE best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. From the staff to the ambiance of the restaurant it is an amazing experience with wonderful kind hearted people. I have had the pleasure of seeing all of china town and their establishments and to this day I whole heartedly believe royal tangra masalas food blows them all out of the water.“
“Our new favorite go-to for Indian. We have already been twice this week after finding it on Sunday. We have loved everything we have tried: Mulligatawny, Samosa Chat, Delhi ki Alu Chat, Alu Gobi, Chicken Tikka Masala & the desserts are out of this world!! We will be back soon and look forward to trying the rice pudding! Simi, our server (both times), couldn't have been more kind and accommodating. If you have a spice level preference just let them know and your meal will be prepared to your liking! Be a little patient this food is fresh and made to order, and well worth the little wait. Also grateful to have met such a kind and generous owner who really cares about your experience, even though the food absolutely speaks for itself. Yummmm“
“One of the most authentic places to feast at. Visited here from Toronto, Canada and felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. The quality of the food speaks for itself in the fact that you don’t feel uneasy after filling up your belly with whatever you order from the menu. The free lassi was one of my favourite parts and I thoroughly enjoyed the buttermilk goodness. I took back 8 boxes of their famous barfi and till now I order boxes and have them shipped here, it’s been 8 years since I first ate there. Visited once again recently and can say other restaurants don’t compare. We have hundreds of India restaurants in Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga and have yet to try something as good as this place. Thanks for the great service and homemade food. Will always visit when we are in town.“
“Asked three different Indian friends finally confirm that pani puri is vegan, just make sure that they don’t add yogurt?this is my first time trying pani puri, I can’t believe that I never had it before !!!! It tastes amazing !!!! When it explores inside my mouth omg I’m totally addicted to it?especially i love spicy?totally recommend it?thank you धन्यवाद“
“I came across Tamarind Island's Insta page and it had me drooling so I knew I had to try it. Arriving on a Saturday afternoon, it was bustling and people were in and out. There are a few tables to eat at as well as a couple of seats by the window. I can't say I ever had Trinidadian food before, but the one thing I knew I had to get was the doubles with chickpeas, because that's what first pulled me in. It was fantastic. I'm not sure I ever had chickpeas so flavorful and yummy. The bread was light and pillowy. Also tried a roti with chicken curry. The roti itself was a large portion served along side a plate of chicken curry with some potato. Another wonderful delight. The chicken was tender and the flavors, just so good. I had to stop myself from ordering more, but I am looking forward to going back for more doubles and some other dishes to try.“
“Don't judge a book by its cover. That's what this restaurant is about it's a hole in a wall type of place, great to just carry out. Their chicken fried is amazing it so authentic the closest I would say to Hilton fried rice from Guyana iyky. We order their food on a weekly basis. Their maybe some local queens uncles by the bar, just let them be lol.“
“Got delivery with door dash. Got samosas aloo gobi okra and pakora. Pakora was a little dry and everything was a little salty. But might just be my palate. Food was delivered fast, rice was moist and flavorful. I’ll eat here again, maybe in person and try the impossible dishes.“
“Top notch delicious food!!! A very very good restaurant with the most amazing food and very friendly staff. We enjoyed the cocktails and food. Everything was so so delicious. I have visited this restaurant thrice and all the three times the service, staff and food were excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try out the besttt food and cocktails and have a pleasant time.“
“Incredible dinning experience. Authentic Indian cuisine. The flavors are exceptional!! I had the tofu mushroom jalfrezi. Loved the sweetness and wasn’t too spicy. Yum! Service is top notch asDietary restrictions: Vegetarian and veganWheelchair accessibility: Yes accessible“
“I DID NOT know this was in existence until today. I bought duck curry with white rice and Dahl, pepper pot, plait bread, pholourie, All were 10/10. They will be seeing me again lol. Delicious. The duck curry was as good as my mom's and that says a lot. The pepper sauce was amazing!“
