“We celebrated my mother’s 60th birthday surprise dinner with 50 guests and it was a very lovely experience. Niurka upon meeting her was very sweet charismatic and ensured to answer all of our questions before booking the space. We kept in communication to make sure everything was right before the night of the dinner. The night of the dinner she made sure everything was set up before our arrival! Every person working that night was professional, friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was amazing as well. This was my first time here, and I will definitely return for another dinner night!“

“It was my first time trying Empanada Queen, a food truck in Baldwin, and overall, it was a decent experience. They had a deal for 10 empanadas for $28, so I decided to try a variety. I went with shrimp, beef, chicken, and mac and cheese empanadas. The flavors were all pretty tasty, with the shrimp, beef, and chicken being the standouts. However, I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese one—it just didn’t have the right texture or flavor I was expecting.
The wait time was short, which was a nice surprise, especially since it was freezing outside! I was glad to have the car to wait in while the food was being prepared.
One thing to note is that the outer shell of the empanadas was quite hard, which made them a bit tough to bite into. On the positive side, the fillings themselves were flavorful. The only other downside was that they only offer one sauce, which had a bit of spice to it. While I didn’t mind it, I wish there were a few more sauce options to choose from.
I'd still recommend it if you're in the area and craving empanadas.“

“Well where can I start, stopped by to get something to eat after taking an exam near the location. First off the atmosphere is nice with traditional tables and chairs expected, nice Spanish music playing in the background while one enjoys their meal, a wide variety of Juices and a good selection of foods to try personally the ribs were amazing and the fried chicken even though a bit cold was delicious. The place is chill, came to to eat with my father and the pricing wasn't that bad for two huge plates of food, around $50+.

“Came here for last minute dinner. Was not bad. I dropped a star because unfortunately because they gave me someone's else order. I understand it was super busy but that's a no no in my book. Othet wise the paella was to die for. Seafood was nice and fresh. Great string drinks.“

Bartenders attentive and friendly with drinks reasonably priced. $5 regular Coronas.. although they have "Mini Coronas" too. $5 Chicken Empanadas was huge.. and tasty too.. To wash it all down? Nothing better than a classic Country Club Frambuesa, that bright Dominican raspberry soda. Sweet, bubbly, and just right.
Couldn’t resist grabbing some Dominican Chicharron with Tostones too, because let’s be honest — Dominican-style chicharron is undefeated. Crispy, juicy, perfection.

“The owner is very cordial and considerate. The restaurant is clean and has two bathrooms one for men and one for women. I had a beef stew which was a lunch special it had white rice ,mixed vegetables and lots of beef. It would’ve been better on separate plates for each of the items on the special. I’m sure if asked they would serve the special on respective separate plates when asked. The food is served from a hot table with 8 or 10 selections of entrees ofbeef,pork,chicken,and vegetables as well as white rice. It is a basic eat in restaurant doing a large delivery business. The do have a wine and beer license and serve after 12 pm. I tipped though it wasn’t implied. A good place to go.“

“First time here and it was absolutely delicious ?. I had the avocado and tostones, fried fish sandwich and a side of rice and beans. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful they put the perfect amount of lime, my fave. The fish sandwich was flavorful and crispy. The rice and beans were perfect. I'll be back again and again. Worth every dime. They where fast and the food came out hot and fresh. Service was nice and the atmosphere was chill. It a small spot nothing fancy but the quality is on point. Thank you !!!

“My boss said the best pernil on Long Island is Lucas Dominican on Grand Ave in Baldwin. If you have any stops there, swing by and get yourself a large serving, white rice, smothered in pork gravy.

“This place was amazing! I was transported back to Ecuador and felt like I was in the Esmereldas again. I had delicious ceviche and a guanabana milkshake. The staff was so nice. “Our family hosted a luncheon for approx 25 people at Cabo in the atrium space at the rear of the restaurant. Angelo and his team were outstanding! The quality and diverse selection of the food was second to none! Not only were our meat eaters satisfied, but so were our vegan and gluten free guests. Angelo and his staff were so attentive and accommodating. We highly recommend Cabo for anyone looking for a private party space but also for that nice dinner with friends. Great atmosphere and value. Well done Cabo!!“
