“Food is always delicious. Love the burgers and unique thin potato wedge fries. Wings and onion rings are a go to as well. Quickly becoming our favorite spot in town! Shout out to Tom Mattingly who took the time to look into a poor experience with a DoorDash order. Not only did he reach out to DoorDash directly to credit our meal, he also went out of his way to provide a gift card for us to come back and experience the tavern as we know and love it. ABSOLUTELY TOP CLASS!! Thank you to Tom and the rest of the staff at Mattingly’s for continued excellent customer service!“

“Last night, for my birthday, we had what I have to call a perfect, and perfectly delicious meal. You can’t take a picture of an experience, but if there were a way, we would have tried. My fettuccine Bolognese was a detailed joy, yielding a world of varied delights in every bite. Even the radicchio and endive salad… one of those textured, flavorful events where you close your eyes and savor every each mouthful. I could go on and on… but I’m still busy savoring. Gorgeous setting, roomy comfort, delightful servers and employees… and the bank does not break. You’d pay 100 or 150% more in the city to even come close.“

“I had two hotdogs, one with chili cheese and the other with basic relish ketchup mustard. Both were excellent, if a little zealous on the relish. The mustard was brown mustard which is ALWAYS a welcome surprise. I truly love hotdogs and these met my expectations. My brother had the lentil soup which was absolutely amazing, and that is what I would order next time I am here. My other brother had the French toast, which he enjoyed. The service is very friendly and welcoming, the kind of place where you feel like a regular your first time in. Total was $37 for enough lunch for 3 people in their 20s plus drinks.“

I just want to clarify that I would always give this place 5 stars except for today. Had a sloppy and somewhat ride waitress that didn’t even get the whole order right and it wasn’t much that we ordered. Had to also be someone different or stingy cooking today because my BLT had more tomatoes and lettuce than it did bacon. Seriously??? “We are camping at neversink RV resort and was looking for a local brewery. And found a nice spot that had a nice mix of brewery and commercial beers. Food was phenomenal. “Jesters restaurant and pub is a great place to stop off for a decent dinner, lunch or drink while your kids are going bananas at the Castle Fun Center. Decent food and drinks..theres an ax throwing thing in the bar that looked like a lot of fun but like everything else at this whole establishment, it will cost an arm and a leg.“

“We are visiting from Colorado and staying in Greenwood lake area. We tried the burgers first number 12 and number 14 in both were amazing the next day we got the burgers again for lunch and then try the jerk chicken beans and rice in the sweet plantains dish and all were excellent. “My wedding day was 10/05/2025 As a wedding photographer, I would say the view is perfect for the photo!!! We held our ceremony and cocktail hour in the large open mountain area surrounded by lush greenery—it was stunning. For the reception, the indoor barn provided a woody, cozy, and elegant atmosphere that felt both warm and refined. One of the biggest highlights was having the entire venue to ourselves for the whole day. Unlike other places, we didn’t have to share the space with other weddings, which made the experience feel very private and special. Everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained, especially the bathrooms (which were large and spotless!), and the private bridal suite was perfect for getting ready. The owner and staff are true professionals. The owner is an experienced chef, and you can really taste the difference with the farm-to-table menu. Everything was fresh, organic, and seasonal. Our guests haven't stopped raving about how terrific the food was! We also loved the tasting session before the wedding, which helped us feel confident in our choices. The managers guided us through every step, offering great suggestions and coordinating with our vendors (who they have great partnerships with—no pressure to buy!). Stephany, Heather, took such good care of me - made sure I knew the specials , that I approved the wine recommendation which had notes of everything I like, the doorman called me madam, the food runner was efficient 😄 it felt like I stepped into a scenic villa of a Bond movie! The quiet, romantic atmosphere of the tavern was perfect for my evening reading, taking my time with my meal and wine. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth-savoriness but I have take a moment for the dessert .

I'm originally born and raised in Oregon. Apple picking, canning is a part of the regional culture and it puts you in the Autumn spirit. I HAVE NEVER seen or experienced a dessert like this - the attention to detail, realism so much that it looked untouchable, nostalgic feel, touch of crispy pumpkin nuttiness to offer a different layer, THE PIE CUSTARD FILLING and mousse! I giggled to myself as I ate it, thankful that it wasn't an ordinary apple pie because I felt transported back to my childhood. It was FABULOUS. Ortez or Obec, please forgive me for forgetting the chefs name. Thank you thank you thank you for your artistry and expertise.

“We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and we were one of two customers in the restaurant. We waited at least 45 minutes for our meal. We didn’t complain because we were having a nice leisurely day apple picking. The food finally arrived my beans were watery as if they were cooked in water with no seasoning. OK I let it go because if the beans were the only thing wrong with the meal that’s not bad right. My husband got to the second half of his brisket sandwich and the brisket was petrified (Not my word I got it from another reviewer were but it fits perfectly). At this point we obviously mentioned some thing to our waitress. She agreed that the meat was not OK and said she would contact her manager who is not on location. She then came back and said the owner Laura who is the manager too who she called said she would give us 10% off. My husband was blown away by this response. He said it was a smack in the face which I completely agree. I then proceeded to add on all the rest of the issues we had that we did not say a word about at first. After the real issue that we wanted resolution from this is how they handled it? Are you kidding? Wait get ready for the best part. The bill came and they took 10% off of my husband‘s meal we got $1.60 off!!! Can you actually believe it? This restaurant is managed poorly and should go out of business. We spent $150 on a terrible lunch.“
