“Awesome staff! Don’t know his name but he is very welcoming and nice! The chocolate chip cookie smelled so good when it just taken out from the oven that I had to get one! And the rum-infused latte was contained in such a cool container!
Iced rum-infused latte is so good! You can taste the flavor of rum when u drink the latte but it actually has no alcohol in it. It’s just bc the coffee beans were soaked in rum during the processing of the beans.
The chocolate chip cookies smelled so good, tasted good too, but just too sweet for me (I got an East Asian mouth).“

We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. U had no idea that my Morning started out so crappy, and your sweet personality and loving spirit really turned my day around and the tres leches latte was AMAZING 🙌🏼🩷💯 yall go see them and be patient …..it’s worth the wait ❤️ side note… the whole place is decorated beautifully! “I absolutely love this place. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, their food is incredible and there’s something for the whole family. I go very often when the work week gets crazy and there isn’t time to cook. Everything at Claudy’s is exceptional and taste better than a home cooked meal. I usually do take out family meal with a whole chicken and two sides. They have truly the most flavorful chicken, incredible chaufa, and I always get the yucca fries on the side. Their Aji empanadas are my go to and I love getting an 8 oz homemade green sauce. I cannot recommend enough!“

“I pass this place all the time but never thought to stop in. Big mistake! The other morning I finally decided to give it a try and ordered a late breakfast via DoorDash. I went with the Venezuelan Breakfast, and wow, it was incredible. The shredded beef was perfectly seasoned, the caraotas (black beans) were flavorful, and the arepa was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The scrambled eggs and sweet maduros rounded everything out and made the meal so satisfying. Now I can’t wait to explore more of their menu. Highly recommend!“

“Listen, I’ve visited New York about three times now, and every single trip I make it a priority to stop at this bodega. I first discovered it during a tour on my very first visit, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

They sell a variety of things, but let me be clear—the empanadas are the star of the show. Oh. My. Gosh. They are packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and BIG. You can literally get full off just one.

If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and try their empanadas. I have to warn you though: once you taste one from this spot, you’ll never be satisfied with an empanada from anywhere else. You’ll only crave theirs.
