(It feel like a junior version of “Fuego” in Miami. Parking is easy here. Seating for approx 50 people. Reservations are reccomended (it was a full house on a Tuesday night). Prices are fair. The food unfortunately did not knock-my-socks-off the last time I ate there (buffalo chicken pizza was wet & sloppy; the brisket flatbread was dry; the arayes lacked salt & flavor; the burger was good).“

They really understand takeout and pack the sauces and liquids separately so the food doesn't become soggy. “We used Mama Soup catering for my little ones drive by birthday. An employee came and set up the soup kettles and sandwiches along with plasticware and to go packages. He was professional, quick, covid safe and so very nice. Not only did everything look great, smell amazing and taste delicious, it was the perfect set up for those who drove by and departed as well as for those who stayed. My family and friends couldn’t rave enough about the food. Those who stayed had seconds and even took leftovers home. The price was reasonable for the amount of food we had. I tried the beef bulgogi soft tofu stew, but the veggies inside were bitter, which made the whole thing taste bitter. I let our server know, and they kindly took it off the bill.
On the bright side, the seafood pancake was amazing and had so much seafood in it! I really appreciated how they handled everything, so I’d still recommend giving them a try.“

We ate here and they had a wide variety of food options from doubles, cook up, bake and salt fish and various curries paired with The best tasting roti I have had in a long time. We ended it all off with some very tasty Pastries that are homemade in store. The owner Serita is very hospitable and made sure we had everything and that we were well taken care of! One slice is plenty for a one-person lunch. It was quick service, too, in a casual environment with a good number of tables and chairs inside to enjoy it. The prices were very reasonable — $20 for two slices, two drinks, and some garlic knots.“

“You know a restaurant is going to be good when they only serve one thing on the menu. This is a small mom-and-pop shop, so IYKYK!

Their specialty is beef & cabbage soup with rice, served with a side of omelette and kimchi radish (banchan). It’s simple, but packed with bold flavors. I went with the spicy option, which was still pretty mild, but incredibly flavorful and comforting.

The beef was super tender, and the soup also came with glass noodles, which was a nice touch. Nothing fancy, just really good, comforting food done right.

“One thing I miss about living in Long Island are the Tex-Mex restaurants. Yes, they're not of the highest quality, and usually they're in a cheap location, and the horrible customer service is always a given, but I do enjoy the food every once in a while.

After searching for a Tex-Mex restaurant, I stumbled across Taco King. This location is actually pretty big with plenty of sitting space. My usual go-to dish at a Tex-Mex place is the Grilled Steak rice platter, so I decided to stick with what I like. I thought the steak here was excellent. It came with one flour tortilla, rice, beans, salad, guac, and chili. The quality and proportion was better than what I expected.

However, it was crazy expensive. I know I sound old, but I remember that only a few years ago, the same dish was about $8 or $9. Now it's over $17! I would gladly eat here more often if the price was cheaper.“

Arriving for a movie 90 minutes early gave us time to find a place to eat. I had reviewed the few options and Burger Villages natural menu seemed like a great choice. We were greeted (by one of the owners) and promptly met with a smiling server. Drinks, yes. Natural coke, iced tea. Then dinner. One turkey burger with sweet potato fries and one specialty burger with their house sauce and my favorite waffle fries. Both arrived hot and the burger juicy. Both cooked exactly as requested. My medium rare was perfect. Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate the “heat” or spice of the sauce. Pria, the owner asked if everything was okay. This was a good sign. I mentioned the heat and she insisted on remaking the burger without the sauce asap. She said - “I want you to have a great experience “ wow - in all my years of coaching hospitality professionals I rarely saw this level of care and concern flow so organically. “It's not dine in. I ordered on UE first but then started picking up to avoid all of the tacked on costs. Best egg rolls ever! They don't seem to reuse the oil so much that they taste off and they somehow have always made them so they're never dripping with oil. Obviously I haven't had a good egg roll in a while.

They also actually listen to preferences. I always ask for crunchy broccoli and am so disappointed when I get overcooked or soggy broccoli that will never reheat well. They have done this consistently. My go to Chinese spot now!“

“I've been coming to the Roast Sandwich House about six times over the last 3 months, there's a young man here named Gio he is very courteous and if efficient and processing our orders and recommending the specials each week when we come here. Good staff is hard to come by and he probably deserves a raise. We seem to eat out a lot around the island and he is probably one of the best servers I've seen.“
