“The Gemelli challenge! Catering for 140 people on a 96 degree day and with the humidity feeling around 100 degrees. Perfect day for a big bbq........ well Gemelli’s made this hot day even “hotter” in a good way! Everyone left full and enjoyed everything from the salads to the perfectly cooked burgers, hotdogs, filet mignon , shrimp kabobs and amazing ribs with the secret Gemelli bbq sauce! Gemelli’s authentic pizza man Raffaele bared the heat and made pizza’s in our brick oven to everyone’s delight! A special shoutout to the staff who performed under these conditions with a smile and great attitude! Thank you Gemelli for exceeding our expectations and not only rising to the challenge but making our day extra special! “Whenever I had a craving for south indian food in long island, I used to frequent Taste of Chennai, i.e. until I discovered this place Village - The Soul of India. This is by far the best south indian restaurant in long island. Their pani puris are killer. The dosas, idlis chutneys and sambars reminded me of what I had tasted back in India. Everything tasted fresh too. The service was good and prompt. We were lucky to get in right before the dinner rush hour where we saw large groups having to wait for a table.

For those who are not familiar with south indian food: their menu is either completely vegetarian (as in this case) or largely vegetarian and 100's of options to choose from.

On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! “Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“I had to come back and leave another review because this experience seriously stood out. The Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely incredible — perfectly chopped, super fresh, and coated in the most rich, creamy dressing that had just the right balance of tangy and savory. Every bite was consistent, flavorful, and honestly one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long time.

What really made the visit even better was the service. DiBonan and Malachi were both amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it and brought such a positive energy to the whole experience.
