“Yesterday was the first time I have been to Popei’s. What a great night! From the moment we walked in the owner/chef greeted us. We sat outside in the tent with the great musician. He was very interactive, took requests. People were singing along, It’s was very enjoyable. It was very clear our waitress, Janice was extremely busy but also very thorough careful and caring. It’s obvious she cares about what she is doing and works very hard. Upon my ordering, I mentioned a food allergy Janice double checked that things were OK before she submitted the order. 2 other people came to verify before cooking my meal. The food was SO GOOD! Big portion sizes. Gave my mother dessert to celebrate her birthday. Overall, it was an absolutely fantastic night. We will be back. My only suggestion would be when the musician is taking a break to lower the background music. When he wasn’t singing, the music was still incredibly loud and we had difficulty hearing each other at the table.“

“My goodness, we recently moved into the neighborhood and we have tried a few sushi joints in the past couple of months. We have tried Mr. J's several time and I must say, it's probably the best sushi in the area. The quality of the ingredients is very good, extremely fresh, they use very little rice so you can actually taste the ingredients, and they roll the sushi really tightly so that it doesn't fall apart if you breathe a little too close.

The owners are extremely friendly, the restaurant clearly focuses on the quality of their takeout since they don't have any tables, which is great because they can focus on cranking out bags and bags of orders. The more you order, they give you free rolls which is really nice. Even my kid, who is a little picky, crushes his spicy kani rolls, not a single grain of rice left, which makes me really happy. Nothing fancy, but they consistently serve great quality food and service with a friendly smile. Can't ask for anything more.

Very nice guy and the price is very budget friendly. It even came with pita bread slices and i didn’t even ask for it. You even get a free drink with the order which not a lot of carts and the sit down halal spots like naz, shah or halal munchies do anymore. Good parking spots nearby as well since it’s located in a strip shopping center.“

“I had to come back and leave another review because this experience seriously stood out. The Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely incredible — perfectly chopped, super fresh, and coated in the most rich, creamy dressing that had just the right balance of tangy and savory. Every bite was consistent, flavorful, and honestly one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long time.

What really made the visit even better was the service. DiBonan and Malachi were both amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it and brought such a positive energy to the whole experience.

It’s rare to find both great food and great people in one place, but this spot nailed it. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon.“

Yes, this restaurant is on Long Island, but the Korean food EXCELLENT (better than lots of places in Flushing) and service is OUTSTANDING. Every dish we’ve tried so far (짜장면, 순두부찌개, 육개장, 제육덮밥) has been so amazing, delicious, and authentic (especially the spices!!!). If you’re ever in the area, please stop in and eat here. It’s crazy awesome! Thanks to my friend for encouraging me to try at a Korean restaurant that is not in Queens. “Hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we are SO glad did - everything was perfect! Everyone could not get over how delicious all the food was. Danny worked with us to create a menu that was tailored to us and our guests and we got SO much food included in the package we did. He also worked with us to create table arrangements that worked best for our event. I was worried at first that the space only being partially private and not a true private room would be an issue but it was not at all! We really didn’t need it and were happy to still get to enjoy the Sinatra singer that plays for the restaurant that night. He even came over and sang for our party and had us dance which was not expected but a fun surprise that we loved! Overall we had a great event here and I am so happy we chose them to host it!“

“By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to! Excellent service- food made to order. Chicken Scarpiello was so flavorful with a lot of garlic, herbs and a touch of lemon. Penne Ala Vodka one of the best I have ever tasted! Chicken Verde was so tender it melted in your mouth!!“
