48 Best Chinese Restaurants near Glenmont

“It always bugs me when I can't find the menu on a restaurant's Google maps, so I just posted decent pictures of each section so yall can read it. I love how South Wok uses the menu to place your order and confirm what you want, gives you the corner of the menu with the number, and gets you your food in about 15 minutes. I love everything I've had there, and I have eaten here every Friday for the last 3 weeks, and I will for the next 3, as well...for as long I'm in town here. My xomoany semd me here every January ir February for a couple weeks and South Wik has been a go-to 4 years running. Portions are substantial and part of the reason I pick up Friday night, so I don't have to find a place to eat on the weekend. $40 to $45 gets me enough food that I can usually eat the leftovers Saturdaybabd Sunday, but $48 got me till Monday night this time.
8/10 for the food.
12/10 for consistency, reliability, availability, and convenience.
I'm eating South Wok tonight and will again a couple more times before I head to the next project.“

“It’s been a while since we were near a PF Chang and this was like going right back to then. Our server, John, was very friendly and nice. He even reminded us about the edamane. He had all the food coming out really nice and fast. The food was amazing and the sesame chicken & fried rice were just like I remembered!“

“I ordered a Spicy Salmon roll and a Philadelphia roll. They were excellent. Also ordered some wonton soup and shrimp spring rolls. Wonton filling was a little fattier than I like, but everything was good. Definitely ordering sushi from here again.“

“Went here for lunch with good friends who come here often it was every thing they said it would be and more the food was excellent. The service was great even though they were very crowded at lunch. We did not feel rushed at all in fact we were there for over two hours. I will definitely return When back in the area.“

“This Chinese restaurant has some of the best food I’ve had out of all the Chinese places I’ve been to. Their Lo Mein especially is so delicious. If you ask for white meat chicken in meals like the General Tso’s or Sesame chicken meals, it will make your experience even more awesome. This is a nice family who runs this restaurant and they always answer the phone quickly and are easy to communicate with. I’m happy to have this place close to my house 😊👍“

“This is my “GO TO” for Chinese food…if this restaurant is closed or unable to Deliver… I guess we’ll have to order pizza bc no other Chinese food will do! The woman who answers the phone Is amazing.. I always order the chicken and broccoli (but minus the broccoli add extra chicken (for a small Upcharge) & I also love their sweet and as our chicken! The delivery man is super nice and they are soooo fast with delivery!! My daughter and I joke that it’s delivered so fast it’s like “hurry up shrimp” from family guy lol I would 110% recommend this place! It’s everything!!“

They have authentic Chinese food on their menu along with American style. My husband ordered authentic and I had Hibachi.. no complaints.. flavors, presentation, portion sizes, service, all great! “I went in for a take out lunch.No call ahead, so I waited for its preparation. It was my first time there.The service was quick, the young man who took my order was pleasant, the menu had what I wanted and the lunch specials were priced well. Unfortunately I ordered chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce and when I got it home discovered that there was no eggplant in my dish. It was good, as was the spring rolls and sesame chicken dinner, but it was a disappointment for me not to get what I wanted. “Really glad to have Empire Wok so close to home here in Delmar. I'm in Glenmont but it's only 5 minutes away. The food is delicious and the service was very friendly to me and my girl. We ordered BBQ spare ribs with pork fried rice and chicken wings with pork fried rice (no veggies). Both were fresh, tasty, and hit the spot. I used to order Chinese food a lot in the Bronx, so it’s great to finally have a place nearby that’s just as good. Definitely recommend!“

“Wow! Most Chinese takeout is all the same. But whatever these guys are doing has kicked out up a notch. The chicken was hot and crispy yet tender, the sauces were flavorful, crab Rangoon were excellent! Well done. It looks like there might be a couple tables to sit at, but the atmosphere is takeout friendly. There is only street parking.“

“Ordered food delivered for five people this evening. Selections were cold, sesame noodles, shrimp, eggroll, eggplant, garlic sauce, sesame, tofu, vegetable mushu, shrimp, chow mein, and vegetable fried rice. Everything arrived hot and I think they are now my favorite take out Chinese in the area. Normally eggplant and garlic sauce is dripping with oil. This was not. Ditto for the tofu. There are slight extra charges for things such as putting egg in the vegetable fried rice, but it is made the way we asked it to be made, and the delivery was quick and accurate. much better than using an online ordering app. I think the restaurant makes it better with direct ordering and we did too. This will be our go to rather than the two or three others in the immediate area.“

“I’ve been having food from here since before I can remember. Probably around 20-30 years? The food is ALWAYS consistent and amazing. Our entire family on both sides love this place. The family that operates the place are some of the sweetest people in town. My folks from my generation that moved away still talks about how much they miss My Place and Great Wall 🤣😂!

The fried rice was great in my lunchtime order, definitely not dry.
I won't name names, but I see reviews that have 1 star on atmosphere, appeared to have been delivery. Maybe you meant your own space (where you consumed the food) has a terrible atmosphere?

Literally won’t go anywhere else for general tsos… their general tso chicken is what general tso chicken SHOULD taste like. The incompetency of delivery apps and waiting two hours for “ice cold food” is entirely your own fault, as I have both eaten in and taken out and had no issues with food poisoning or the temperature of the food.
