“It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!“

“My family has made Bobo’s a staple of our weekly dining since we moved to Somers five years ago. The food is always consistent, the staff are friendly and attentive and make you feel like family.

My wife has Celiacs and Bobos has the best Gluten Free Chicken Cutlets in the area. We never have to worry about cross contamination as the staff is well trained in food allergy preparations.

I would recommend using their mobile app to order around lunch time as the place gets slammed midday and ordering ahead of expedites the lunch process.

My kids love the tater tots and chicken fingers. Don’t miss the churro bites for dessert! We tried the spinach, avocado, peanut butter and banana smoothie. Honestly, it tasted like water with a peanut butter flavoring. However, we did enjoy the food during our visit. We had a vegan donut, the tofu bowl, and the falafel wrap. The bowl and wrap are on the small side but were both very tasty. The donut was of course sweet and delicious! This is a fun place to sit back, relax and enjoy time with a friend. There are even games available to play - checkers, chess, and tic tac toe were on our table. Came in for the traditional Turkish breakfast made special for my family. We came in after the Leathermans Loop (obviously famished). The food is phenomenal, fresh, delicious, and made with love.

“This was our first time trying this diner together and we grabbed some new items that were all a 10/10. First we ordered their pepperoni pizza waffle fries. ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR. They were cheesy and well seasoned. Everything you could want. I do wish they had some more sauce but over all a 9/10.
We ordered their famous Chicken Cutlet Tacos (Chicken Vodka). Wonderful. Super tasty, perfectly crunchy. I’d come back specifically for these tacos.
We also got their Cannoli Pancakes to give them a try. Lord almighty, their cannoli cream was an 100/10. It comes with 2 pancakes rolled up like cannolis, they were generous with the chocolate chips and cream. They are so light and fluffy. No complaints.
Lastly, we shared their Instagram Favorite The Pauly D hero. It’s chicken cutlet, pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese and penne ala vodka. I’ll have dreams about this sandwich.
Lastly, the atmosphere is very cozy and home like. The staff is super attentive and very friendly.
If you leave with one thing from this is dear God, get there early. We got seated right away around 8:20 am but by the time we were leaving, it was packed. I’ve heard that wait times can be over an hour.
