“It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!“

“The kitchen is small, but the flavors are big at the Playhouse Cafe. It’s unbelievable what they are capable of creating — this is not your typical movie theater cafe. Great cocktails, a full coffee shop (my favorite place to work on the weekends while the kids catch a movie), the charcuterie board is fabulous, the muffaletta is my favorite sandwich. My kids love the tater tots and chicken fingers. Don’t miss the churro bites for dessert! Best of all — you never need a movie ticket to eat in the cafe, but if you are seeing a movie — you can bring your food/drinks into the theater. Sure beats regular popcorn!Also, trivia nights and live music are so fun — not to be missed!

“The atmosphere is casual and friendly with an eclectic assortment of tables and artwork. Seating is very European where tables are shared among different guests. I would not recommend the smoothies. We tried the spinach, avocado, peanut butter and banana smoothie. Honestly, it tasted like water with a peanut butter flavoring. However, we did enjoy the food during our visit. We had a vegan donut, the tofu bowl, and the falafel wrap. The bowl and wrap are on the small side but were both very tasty. The donut was of course sweet and delicious! This is a fun place to sit back, relax and enjoy time with a friend. There are even games available to play - checkers, chess, and tic tac toe were on our table. It looks like a normal typical diner. I think they should make it look more whimsical to match the menu. Maybe have pictures of the kinds of foods and drinks they make displayed. Or just fun and colorful fun decor.“

“The pizza was amazing, crust cooked to perfection and a great team making it all happen. We had a few slices of the Chicken Bacon Ranch, a meat pie, and the pepperoni and cheese rolls. Definitely a must visit for all of the out of towners coming in for the World Ninja League championships(and for everyone else who loves pizza too!)“

“Wonderful place for farm to table Mexican food. Liz, our waitress was assertive and pleasant. Before 730 there’s a lot of children and if you look quickly, you might feel like you’re at Chuck E. Cheese but that changes as the evening goes on. The desserts are absolutely wonderful scratch made. Highly recommend the gluten-free coconut almond cake with chocolate and nuts on top. Everything we ate on the menu was incredible. The tamales were delicious and we loved the brisket tacos and the pulled pork tacos. It’s incredible that they use Berkshire pork. We are both chefs and really appreciate the quality. We’d love the cucumber margaritas that were on special that night.“
