“Mother and Son Brunch … just because? at this quaint, tucked away secret gem in Queens. Truly the first place that I,ve found in Queens that does BOTH vegan and carnivore options WELL! If you’re like me where your household has a little bit of everything going on, this is your spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch! They are a vegetarian diner with an extensive menu so lots of good eats to choose from that are not salty or oily and well seasoned ?We had fresh carrot juice made to order, the pancake special with plant based bacon, eggs, home fries, sour dough toast, fresh fruit and avocado. Magnificent! They also have vegan desserts like apple crumb pie, frosted cookie crunch and so much more. The service was wonderful and we felt right at home. There is also a lovely gift shop right next door that has some unique knick knacks. Tell ‘em Avery sent you?Downside is parking is sparse so Uber or subway if you can. Note their hours are 8am - 3pm, closed on Tuesdays and are open on Sundays. Bon Apetit ?Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. You will not be disappointed.Dietary restrictions: Perfect Vegan spot with lots of optionsParking: You might have to circle a couple times to find parking as this location is in a residential neighborhood.“
“Hands down best dosa, idli, vada, chutney, upma, pongal, mysore pak, and madras coffee. You can do Abhishek in Ganesh temple upstairs on a full stomach. Very satisfying and may improve your karma! Just not on a weekend though when it's crazy packed.“
“It is a very good place to have traditional indian snacks and food , A must try in snacks is the bun chole and aloo tikki chaat and people who have a knack for yogurt products they can go for dahi bhalla with paapdi, in food they have outstanding aloo paratha with dal tadka and sarso da “
“Angelica is very sweet and helpful I didn’t know anything about Indian food she helped me order my meal. Goat Curry and Butter Chicken was sooo good! Highly recommend this very clean and delicious restaurant!! I will definitely be back soon!“
“It is the BEST south Indian veg food I ever had in NewYork.Taste wise and quality wise...it's the best best food.Dosa and Vada and chutney is so delicious.Coconut chutney (this restaurant makes it in authentic way)So happy I went there. But I really suggest them to change their mode of table service.“
“My party of three came in on a Saturday night and we got some delicious food! For our starter we got nachos and they were great! All the sauces//veggies added great flavors! Then we got The Mac’n Portobello and the BX cheesesteaks and they were both delicious!! All the food tasted great and filled us up. The workers were very welcoming and friendly. The only thing we didn’t love was the vibe. We kinda wish it was a little more cozy. Other than that we had a great experience and will be back!!Vegetarian options: The menu is vegan.Dietary restrictions: Healthier choices“
“Great place to enjoy meals with friends, family or solo. Friendly and efficient staff.Lots of delicious food and drink offerings.I've never been disappointed with the food.Vegetarian options: Fresh vegetable & fruit drinks to die for.Kid-friendliness: Very relaxed and comfortable seatsWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“This ramen place? It's not just a restaurant, it's a relationship. We've been seeing each other for 6 months now, and the spark hasn't faded! We dream about the broth, fantasize about the noodles... honestly, we should probably get their wallpaper on our phones at this point. The classic ramen is SO good, we haven't even dared to explore the rest of the menu. Maybe next time... or the next...“
“We got some food packed to go. The idlis were soft and freshly prepared. Chutney was good but the sambar was watery. We also got a plate of thali. They gave us chole, daal and sabzi (veg). All the dishes were spicy for our palate.Overall a decent meal at a reasonable price.“
“Table service is lacking. The other person dining with me wanted to get a drink while waiting for her meal. I had to disturb another food server who was serving other tables as our server did not return after taking the initial order. I paid by credit card however their system seemed antiquated as I had to physically use my credit card rather than using my wallet pay (Android phone).Vegetarian options: Menu is very descriptive.Dietary restrictions: The menu is very descriptive and as such a person with dietary restrictions will know exactly what they would consume. Any serious concerns request to talk with the manager. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu and the meal preparation as well as the origination of all items being offered on the menu. Bon Appétit.Parking: Located in Roosevelt Field Mall .Free parking throughout.“
“First time here and I can say the hype is real. The curry goat and the oxtail double was delicious, I got everything in it. I also got the Shark and Bake, which was outstanding. It was sweet and with the spicy sauce, you get hit with a little bit of heat, which was a nice balance. They pack it with a lot of fish. I’d advise getting everything on there. The food is affordable and the quality is there. When it came to the paying part, they are very unorganized but understandable since it gets super busy. But the lady had an attitude, when I heard the order wrong. (For new customers make sure you pay attention to the food you order.) 2 doubles and 1 shark and bake was $23. I will definitely come back.8.5/10“
“My main local hangout since I was 15! If you're a vegan, gluten-free or whatever, this place has got you covered! They have a great food selection and an amazing coffee/tea selection too! Try the awesome deserts as well! Atmosphere is that of gothic/punk east village right here closer to home! Tell them "Gordo" sent you!“
“Overall, it was a great experience! We reserved a large dinner birthday party with ease. Upon arrival, the staff was attentive and happy to receive us. We were comfortably seated in the center of the restaurant, the food was delicious, the drinks were so tasty, and the ambiance was spot on! We had multiple dishes and not one disappointed! Once the dinner portion was done, they swiftly transitioned into a dance party with a live DJ playing Salsa and Bachata music. I'm happy to have tried them and will definitely be back.“
“They have healthy vegan food which is rare in this neighborhood. On top of that the vegan food tastes identical like real meat. Highly recommend Citrus chicken made with vegan meat , Plant base delight with quinoa. Feel inside out healthy at this restaurant and look for their delivery service of my everyday meal.“
“My family loves this place. The staff are very accommodating and the food is top notch.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian roti is delicious.Dietary restrictions: If you tell them your dietary restrictions the staff can recommend something tasty that meets your needs.Kid-friendliness: My two-year old loves the food here (even things that are a little spicy). But they have a “standard American” kids section on the menu as well.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the front door.“
“Excellent experience at this location. Sociable and down to earth location it was a very pleasant experience. The food looked delicious and the bitters are beneficial to your health. And the soursop drink is on point. It made me regret not having bought more home with me. I'm grateful my friend took me there with him.“
“Fresh food and great service! This is my first time here and I have to say the food here is phenomenal. For every bite I took I can taste the spices and flavor. The staff that work here are kind and friendly. I ordered two chicken kebab rolls, two chicken samosa, and one veggie roll to go. Also I couldn’t forget that tea that is much more delicious than any other spot in starling. This gem can’t be missed! I highly recommend this location!“
“One of my family's favorite vegetarian restaurants! The Samosas are my personal favorite. The vibe in there is very nice and calm with a stunning interior, soothing music, and ambient lighting. Overall a great place and not too expensive.“
“I passed Just Salad a few times and yesterday was my Second time and I was not disappointed! The ingredients are fresh and they have everything you can think of to put on your salad! My favorite is the Maple Chicken salad Joslyn was amazing! She was personable and attentive!! Her Customer Service was wonderful! People like Joslyn make you want to keep coming back! Keep up the good work Joslyn! ?“
“Easily some of the best food I've ever had. It's about a 2 hour drive from me, and I've already gone twice in a month. The space is no-frills, but clean, bright, and inviting. When you first enter, you will see a variety of fresh fruits waiting to be made into smoothies. Keep going and you will see a steam table, with the food covered to keep it warm. The workers come over and reveal the food so you can choose what you would like. You pick your plate size and they will load you up with your choices. You pay by plate size. For the spice-averse: the food is incredibly flavorful, and can be very spicy. However, the workers are incredibly kind and patient in explaining how spicy certain dishes are. For my fellow white people with a low spice tolerance, the "mild" dishes are about the same level of spicy as a spicy potato taco from Taco Bell. Many of the dishes, including the rice, veggies, etc., are also strongly seasoned and can be considered "spicy." For me, as someone with very low spice tolerance, it was a struggle, but I persevered because of how incredibly tasty everything was. For my partner, who likes spicy food, the only thing that he found noticeably spicy was the jerk seasoning.Overall, fantastic food, incredibly kind people, great prices, and excellent serving sizes.“
“The food here is beyond AMAZING. It makes turning vegan easier. BUT I must say the attitude of the cashier doesn't match the greatness of the food. I just started going there and the few times I've came She has not welcoming. Her attitude isn't good When you come in to spend your money somewhere. But the food is so good there i hope their customer service begin to match their food.“
“Really delicious vegan food, friendly service. Take out only. They also sell a variety of herbs and cold bottled drinks. The food is served from a steam table, they had a great variety of options and the food was incredible. Not too spicy, great textures, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The only downside for me is that the food is paid by the pound, so it's hard to estimate how much you're going to be spending. It ended up being a little pricier than I would have liked, but the food was so good that it was worth it.“
“The best most cleanest place in new hyde park ! Wow the food is out of this world, ive tried the bowls, the burritos , the salads and everything is absolutely delicious ! I wish they had one around my house ? the food is so fresh and you can taste how homemade it is. 5 stars for sure .“
“Ordered delivery from here today and was blown away by how good the food was and how big the portions were for the price that I paid. I had the Mediterranean chicken burrito and I scarfed it down so fast, it was so yummy. It also came with a side of lentil soup which was amazing! Their carrot protein muffins are to die for too, my son ate his so quickly. This will be my new go-to for healthy wholesome food. Wish I had ordered from here sooner!“
“Was around the area and had to try out this place!! It's a nice small little restaurant in Queens!! I like the quiet cozy ambience with the Indian decor inside and of course how clean and maintained they had it!! Service was super a kind lady helped me at the front desk since, I was ordering to go!! I love Indian food so I had to order the Samosa Chaat and an order of hot Samosa on the side as well with green Chutney and the red sauce!! It took 15 minutes for them to make my order since they were preparing it fresh!! The Samosa Chaat was a hit honestly the ratio of all was perfectly made and given the aloo (potato) samosa with garbanzo, red onion, yogurt, and drizzle of their hot sauce!! !! Although it had my taste buds flying on how mildly spicy it was - it was fantastic though. The samosa was also perfectly made on how fresh it was and not too spicy and you get to dip it either in the chutney or the red sauce of your choice to indulge!! Affordable prices thank god!! Other places overcharge. Not here!! Can't sit to be back and try their other items from their menu!!“
“Loved my experience here. Was sad there weren't more people dining in! Soft music playing in the restaurant and the ambiance was nice. Best part was the foooood! I love green curry and they made it for me with fried eggplant chunks.... to DIE for!!!“
“Asked three different Indian friends finally confirm that pani puri is vegan, just make sure that they don’t add yogurt?this is my first time trying pani puri, I can’t believe that I never had it before !!!! “Holey moley. Roti Road House Cafe is amazing. Friendly service, welcoming mood. Every thing that we have gotten had so much flavor, especially Crab Roti. The lovely people working there are extremely attentive and helpful. I can't say enough good things about Roti Road House Cafe.“
“Incredible dinning experience. Authentic Indian cuisine. The flavors are exceptional!! I had the tofu mushroom jalfrezi. Loved the sweetness and wasn’t too spicy. Yum! Service is top notch asDietary restrictions: Vegetarian and veganWheelchair accessibility: Yes accessible“
“When I tell y’all this food is so good. I never liked Indian food ever I’m not sure if it’s because this place is vegan/vegetarian or what but this food is so good and always fresh even late at night. Ever since I tried this place about a month ago on Uber Eats I been ordering it atleast once a week. The Biryani rice is good but I really like the Aloo Gobhi. I’m obsessed with their spring rolls and Samosas whew the lemonade is good too“
“Excellent vegetarian restaurant with beautiful ambiance and food. Nice dining room in the back. Soothing cafe style seating area in the front. Great for studying while having coffee, tea, and snacks. It's near the hospital. Nice walk to get some yummy fried milk, Singapore rice noodles, spring rolls, and more. Note: everything is vegetarian, even if it says "chicken" or "beef".“
“Service was great and staff also except for Jay he is a manager who's is very rude and inconsiderate I will never have that idiot take my order agin who trained this guy what planet is he from he should b taking out the garbage not taking orders for real“
“during the dark ages of Covid, I was constantly wondering and worried… about the restaurants in my area.one by one, they started closing down and I was thrown in a very anxious state. what would be the next childhood restaurant of mine to close next? what would I be able to eat and survive? how can I remain happy?these thoughts consumed me as I again kept sinking down into my dark place.. but every time I found myself there, I knew there was one place I can always enjoy a warm meal.enter Hot Breads, this venue has always held it down with their Chicken Tikka Panini when I needed comfort. ask for extra chutney on the side and your worries will just drift away as the masala turns up the temperature in your body, mind, and soul.5/5 always.. and if you’ve ever got a sweet tooth, ask for their mango or pineapple cream cakes!“
“Everything about this place is amazing! We usually order on the phone by calling them 10-15 minutes prior and as soon as we get there, our food is already ready. The servers are so sweet and the interior is fenominal. Definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: Everything here is vegetarian!Kid-friendliness: High-chair and lots of food that kids enjoy.“
“Best Vegan Food Ever! I usually order more to go than dine in. But the place is beautiful and the staff is very kind. The menu is big with several options, from appetizers, soups, noodles, entrees and delicious desserts! Also they offer different kind of teas. I definitely recommend it!“
