“Saturday evening dinner without a reservation. Walking in, my eyes immediately gravitated to the pictures of the owners and the many celebrities that have eaten and visited there before. The bar area is very nice and large, with TVs playing sports and news. We were greeted, welcomed and seated immediately. The dining area is very large and decorous. The tables large enough to sit us all. My cousin-in-law and his family frequent the restaurant and he practically knows everyone there, so as we sat, we were introduced to the owners and pretty much about a half dozen waiters and other staff members. All were extremely friendly and welcoming. As expected with all family style restaurants, the tables are very close to one another but positioned in a way that still allowed for ample space for you to move and sit comfortably. When we sat, there were hardly any people there, but within an hour it was full of patrons and large families. It was loud, but manageable. The food was unbelievably delicious. I haven't had true traditional family style Italian food in a long time. From the Fried Calamari and cold antipasto appetizers, to our Veal Parmigiana, Penne allá Vodka with Shrimp and prosciutto entrees. Paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo Napa, I truly enjoyed my meal. I haven't enjoyed food this good in a long time. My girls shared a huge plate of Chicken fingers and fries, and they loved it. He reluctantly agreed came in on a busy Saturday night no reservation. Initially told an hour wait but they were able to seat us in this look nook area within minutes and I absolutely loved this little intimate cozy spot. I love margaritas initially I wasn't going to get one and was going to stick to wine but my husband ordered one as I stepped out to get something from the car. This is now one of my fav places for a good marg! I ended up having 4 usually it's 2 max! We started with a app special burrata, artichokes and peppers and yum yum so delicious! We decided to split a pasta and meat yikes incredibly good! I mean just outstanding pork with eggplant, prosciutto and mozz over a Marsala sauce oh my just incredible! Pasta another hit too perfect amount of cream just a touch and those mushrooms yum! We ended up going back a week later and I went with their bolognese another amazing hit! I also had their creamy burrata with prosciutto just so good. My goal is to try everything on their menu! Their pizzas look amazing too so looking forward in trying them.“
“Always a special night at Grasso's. We've been coming since before the new owners. And it is better than ever. They serve a fresh baked roll with a hint of garlic when you sit down. For entrees, we have had the bone in veal chop twice, both times really large, and excellent. Previously parmigiano and last night with an incredible mushroom sauce, so good. We have had the zucchini linguini every time we dine here since we first tried it. It is all veggies, and all delicious. Ended with decaf coffee and decaf cappuccino, hot and impossible to distinguish from caffeinated coffee. I do not add milk to coffee if the restaurant does it right, which Grasso's always does. Served with biscotti I'm pretty sure came from a good bakery, not a package. Always live music, and where else can you find that on Long Island?“
“Kayla was our server, and supplied the vibe. She recommended the Speck pizza with hot honey, and that pizza changed my life. So damn good! I’m not kidding when I say that I loved it so much I ordered another one to go, to enjoy later that night. That smoked mozzarella ?. The Gnocchi was awesome and they even offer it in a bread bowl! The Italian sodas are also good, if you love natural ginger flavor, the apple ginger one for sure hits.“
“Have passed this pizzeria many times and never went in cause I just thought the parking was too difficult . Someone told me today that this was their favorite pizza in Plainview ( it at the border of Plainview and Hicksville on Woodbury road and south oyster bay road). I asked why and he said , it's the cheesiest! Anyway, I decided to try it and was very pleased. I had a cauliflower pizza which was excellent and I could present it was healthier. The regular slice was also good and really cheesy as promised. Inside the dining room is nicer than you can tell from the outside. The staff are efficient and accommodating. You can park on the street , but they DO have a parking lot in back, around the corner. Gotta say, although I haven't been here for 28 years, I plan to return.“

“Took my wife last night for the anniversary of her 29th birthday. Great evening. It was our second time there. We first enjoyed a drink at the bar. Shout out to Michael who made her a perfect muddled orange vodka!! She said it was almost as good as mine!! We then sat at a beautiful table - never felt rushed in any way. The staff are lovely. The food was amazing!! The waiter brought over some cuts of cheese (complimentary) while we looked over the menu. We decided to share an order of the mussels, a salad (which ended up being huge!!), the birthday girl had the branzino - which she said was amazing and I had the veal parm which was equally fantastic! The branzino was served over broccolini and came with 2 sauces. The restaurant sent over a really nice piece of Tiramisu with a candle which was really nice. We did exactly what we did last time we were there and made a reservation to come back again! A great nice of great food. Beautiful birthday dinner!!! I think they were a little short on wait staff but there were plenty of buspeople so bread and OO came out fast. Took a little while for the drink order but once he took that the service was excellent. We had a full baked clams (yummy) and Rice balls (5 delicious Arancici in a little ricotta and red sauce, also delicious.) My entree was the pounded Veal Chop Voldestana and it was the size of Home Plate and outstanding. I recommend it. My wife had their signature Lobster Rav. Also top notch. All the food was hot and fresh. Overall and outstanding meal. Not cheap but they offer great value and quality.“

The steak was juicy, the shrimp wasn't chewy, and the flavors were amazing. For tacos, we got the ital-Americano, chicken parm, and maialino. Every one was tasty in its own way. We had lunch and they just about steer you to the Prix Fix at $ 21.00 for thee courses. This is old times done Italian up scale. We started off ordering the Cabernet on each table, $ 45.00 and very good, they then brought out a basket of bread and complimentary Brochetta. We ordered the Cesar Salad creamy but very tasty, Followed by Veal with Fontina Cheese, and an ensemble of Fresh crispy Vegetables, all delicious. We ordered espresso, with Italian Cheese Cake and they topped that with complimentary fresh fruit and an after dinner cordial. The service was professional, menu recited from memory poured the wine as needed, didn't ask if we are still working on that, but delivered and took away from the right side. None of that taking your salad fork and putting back on the table. I say this because the place is cozy, the Service great and food delicious, while the prices so fair, with the class of not charging for using a credit card. What a find these days. Wish La Villetta was closer to me, but it is worth the drive.“

Hey, accidents happened, and they compted the appetisers and moved us to a new table. Otherwise, the service was great. The calamari appetiser was light and crispy. Two people got shrimp scampi and said it was the best they ever had as was my veal Parmigiano dinner. It had a very tasty red sauce. The portions are big, and 3 people took leftovers home. The sandwiches are phenomenal and so fresh tasting. Their roasted turkey and Swiss is a great example. Homemade. Real turkey, not turkey roll. Not salty but flavorful. With a nice dollop of mayo. Every order has been delicious. And when you go in there you see all this food! Different salads. Lasagna. Meatballs. Eggplant parm, mmm. Stromboli, yum. Even the broccoli will have you wanting a taste. There’s so many options. Even for vegetarians there is wonderful options. And they will make pretty much anything you want.
