“This is the first time that we tried this restaurant, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The food was exceptional as well as the atmosphere! The service was impeccable, and the waitress was attentive The calamari was very very good and well prepared as well as the baked clams, even though we didn’t have heavy meals we had salads with grilled chicken and it was very good. I’m glad that we ordered a dessert which was gelato with espresso poured over it. Great way to end a very good meal definitely will be returning! A++++“

The starters we had were...Leek and garlic soup - so satisfying!Bread - the baker has perfected the bread. Truly delicious Grilled squid - who knew that squid needed paprika to elevate the taste. We added an extra order because it was so goodCaesar salad - how a caesar salad could taste so light and flavorful is beyond me Our mains were.....Strozzapreti - if you like spicy, this is for you. Deep, rich roasted tomato that's heavily spiced and filled with flavorPaccheri - I love maitake mushrooms but wasn't sure if I'd like it with squash. It was a perfect marriage of flavors and textures. If you want something that tastes seasonal, light (ish), with perfectly cooked pasta, this is for youDuck - I've had duck many times but this was so good. The blackberry mostarda with perfectly cooked duck was balanced, nuanced, and seasoned just rightChicken - I never like to order chicken out because I cook it all the time. I will make an exception every time for this dish. Make sure someone in your party orders it. You don't get opportunities to taste chicken like this very often. Steak - ordered medium rare and came medium rare. Like butter. If you're a steak lover, you won't be disappointed We ordered both sides and, for dessert chocolate cake, lemon tart, and affogato. All were spot on. We'll be back before the menu changes to try the few dishes we didn't get to. Service was great as well“
“Delicious! We like to explore the east end in the off season. Plentiful hiking and no crowds. We popped in right before a traditional dinner time and were treated like we were regulars. Started off with pillowy garlic knots that were extra garlicky. Our meals were top notch: huge portions of salmon that were perfectly cooked. Our son had spaghetti topped with huge meatballs. Almost too stuffed for dessert but we couldn't pass up the chocolate chip cookies we saw when we walked in. Couldn't have been happier with a nice end cap to the weekend.“
“One of the best meals I've had at VSC since it opened. They've upped their game by having multiple specials (in addition to their longstanding daily one). They are trying to source locally as long as quality is maintained. I had the bay scallop appetizer. Could have been my entree. So delicious, the scallops were from Nova Scotia as the Peconic Bay ones are in short supply. Lobster pot pie also lovely not too creamy. Tarte tatin was crispy. Jake our server was attentive and had a sense of humor.“
“Love this place, a little gem of a neighborhood find inside of town, also I would say on the less expensive side for the area. Service for the both times I've been there definitely a little on the slow side... Not sure if that's just the winter help thing or whether that's really just the way the place works.. “Interior is warm and inviting, our server was exceptionally welcoming and friendly with myself and wife. Was never rushed and maintained welcomed intervals of time between courses. “Ordered a cheese pie for delivery and it was more affordable than the other nearby options. From placing the order to the delivery driver the staff was very friendly. Plus the pie was delicious! Added a picture of the box because it's a nice touch!“
“I order pizza here pretty regularly but last night I placed an order. They forgot a slice- which they refunded when I called. And I should have checked. However I got the baked pasta trio and the ricotta cheese in the stuffed shells and manicotti and lasagna was sour. It must have gone bad. So that $20 dish was thrown in the garbage. The marina very bland. I admit I was surprised. I chalk it up to life but hope someone checks that cheese because I wasn’t the only one that tasted it. Didn’t feel like calling again to complain after calling during dinner to say I never got a slice. Service is always friendly and prompted. Sometimes it’s busy and some of the reviews here show that they have never worked in a restaurant, especially after 2020- it stresses me out going anywhere. I can’t imagine how it is dealing with these fragile attitudes day in and day out. The ladies up front definitely work hard.“
“Had the pleasure of my wife and I returning to one of our Islands restaurants, Isola last night and was really pleased. It’s nice to begin thinking of enjoying local restaurants after a summer of visitors, guests and other obligations. Really enjoyed the Cioppino with pasta. Sauce was wonderful, rich but not heavy and overbearing. It was filled with seafood, including shrimp, octopus, squid and shellfish. Totally enjoyable nice portion, so that I had enough to take home for lunch the next day. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the swordfish special served over various vegetables. It was prepared to perfection and the caper sauce complemented the entire dish. Really nice place to enjoy that is “affordable”.“
“The food, vibe and service were all A+ at Alpina. Everything we tried from the Swiss beer, to the entrees to the desserts was excellent. Extremely fresh food, kind and attentive staff and very cool and cozy atmosphere inside. Already can’t wait to go back!“
