“A nice place for dinner. I went there with 3 friends on a Saturday nite at 7 pm. Was seated right away. All was great until the waiter spilled some sauce on one of us. Hey, accidents happened, and they compted the appetisers and moved us to a new table. Otherwise, the service was great. The calamari appetiser was light and crispy. Two people got shrimp scampi and said it was the best they ever had as was my veal Parmigiano dinner. It had a very tasty red sauce. The portions are big, and 3 people took leftovers home. “Saturday evening dinner without a reservation. Walking in, my eyes immediately gravitated to the pictures of the owners and the many celebrities that have eaten and visited there before. The bar area is very nice and large, with TVs playing sports and news. We were greeted, welcomed and seated immediately. The dining area is very large and decorous. The tables large enough to sit us all. My cousin-in-law and his family frequent the restaurant and he practically knows everyone there, so as we sat, we were introduced to the owners and pretty much about a half dozen waiters and other staff members. All were extremely friendly and welcoming. As expected with all family style restaurants, the tables are very close to one another but positioned in a way that still allowed for ample space for you to move and sit comfortably. When we sat, there were hardly any people there, but within an hour it was full of patrons and large families. It was loud, but manageable. The food was unbelievably delicious. I haven't had true traditional family style Italian food in a long time. From the Fried Calamari and cold antipasto appetizers, to our Veal Parmigiana, Penne allá Vodka with Shrimp and prosciutto entrees. Paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo Napa, I truly enjoyed my meal. I haven't enjoyed food this good in a long time. My girls shared a huge plate of Chicken fingers and fries, and they loved it. “Absolutely amazing! I've been wanting to stop by here for some time now and regret not coming in sooner. My husband wanted to try Farm Italy but Joanina had been calling my name for a year now. He reluctantly agreed came in on a busy Saturday night no reservation. Initially told an hour wait but they were able to seat us in this look nook area within minutes and I absolutely loved this little intimate cozy spot. I love margaritas initially I wasn't going to get one and was going to stick to wine but my husband ordered one as I stepped out to get something from the car. This is now one of my fav places for a good marg! I ended up having 4 usually it's 2 max! We started with a app special burrata, artichokes and peppers and yum yum so delicious! We decided to split a pasta and meat yikes incredibly good! I mean just outstanding pork with eggplant, prosciutto and mozz over a Marsala sauce oh my just incredible! Pasta another hit too perfect amount of cream just a touch and those mushrooms yum! We ended up going back a week later and I went with their bolognese another amazing hit! I also had their creamy burrata with prosciutto just so good. My goal is to try everything on their menu! Their pizzas look amazing too so looking forward in trying them.“
“Always a special night at Grasso's. We've been coming since before the new owners. And it is better than ever. They serve a fresh baked roll with a hint of garlic when you sit down. For entrees, we have had the bone in veal chop twice, both times really large, and excellent. Previously parmigiano and last night with an incredible mushroom sauce, so good. We have had the zucchini linguini every time we dine here since we first tried it. It is all veggies, and all delicious. Ended with decaf coffee and decaf cappuccino, hot and impossible to distinguish from caffeinated coffee. I do not add milk to coffee if the restaurant does it right, which Grasso's always does. Served with biscotti I'm pretty sure came from a good bakery, not a package. Always live music, and where else can you find that on Long Island?“
“Have passed this pizzeria many times and never went in cause I just thought the parking was too difficult . Someone told me today that this was their favorite pizza in Plainview ( it at the border of Plainview and Hicksville on Woodbury road and south oyster bay road). I asked why and he said , it's the cheesiest! Anyway, I decided to try it and was very pleased. I had a cauliflower pizza which was excellent and I could present it was healthier. The regular slice was also good and really cheesy as promised. Inside the dining room is nicer than you can tell from the outside. The staff are efficient and accommodating. You can park on the street , but they DO have a parking lot in back, around the corner. Gotta say, although I haven't been here for 28 years, I plan to return.“

“Took my wife last night for the anniversary of her 29th birthday. Great evening. It was our second time there. We first enjoyed a drink at the bar. Shout out to Michael who made her a perfect muddled orange vodka!! She said it was almost as good as mine!! We then sat at a beautiful table - never felt rushed in any way. The staff are lovely. The food was amazing!! The waiter brought over some cuts of cheese (complimentary) while we looked over the menu. We decided to share an order of the mussels, a salad (which ended up being huge!!), the birthday girl had the branzino - which she said was amazing and I had the veal parm which was equally fantastic! The branzino was served over broccolini and came with 2 sauces. The restaurant sent over a really nice piece of Tiramisu with a candle which was really nice. I was absolutely blown away by the taste and quality of everything. The quesadilla was one of the best I've had in a long time. The steak was juicy, the shrimp wasn't chewy, and the flavors were amazing. For tacos, we got the ital-Americano, chicken parm, and maialino. Every one was tasty in its own way. “4.5 stars...I've gone to Gino's fairly regularly since they opened and I live in the area. I've gotten take out as well as dined in. The food is very good, just a few disappointments. When having dinner in, they have a salad with their entrees that has lots of mushrooms (I'm not a big mushroom person)...so the second time I made sure to order the salad without mushrooms and it still came with so I had to pick out the multitude of mushrooms. Kind of annoying and will probably not get salads anymore but as far as the other meals, from the pizza to the wraps, to the entrees etc, everything was very good. Their balsamic chicken, in wraps as well as entree dinners, is awesome. The interior is very nice and cozy and an improvement from the previous restaurant there. The waiters and staff are always very accommodating. The prices are on the high side but sadly, where aren't the prices on the high side now? But I'd rather pay more for quality food and service rather than save a few dollars for food that is not as good.“

“I walked in with the hopes of being able to snag a seat at the bar. Tim, one of the managers, greeted me. When I told him there were no seats available at the bar, Tim worked to try to get me a table. I waited about 10 minutes and was lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. The bartender Luis was terrific. I had a perfectto Negroni. It was delicious. The bread was amazing as were the three different dipping butters and oil. We shared the mozzarella with prosciutto and the cauliflower. Both were amazing, but I have to say that I'd go back for the grilled cauliflower. We shared an order of the ravioli and the Gramigna. Both were outstanding, light and flavorful but I would get the gramigna again. It's such a warm and welcoming spot, and it's clearly well run. Highly recommend.“

Check out their hot meals, all freshly made daily..shrimp, chicken cacciatore, pork chops, sausage n peppers and so many more. Soooo delicious, tastes homemade. They also have fresh mozzarella, rice balls, potato croquettes, meats, steaks, sausages, fresh & dry pasta, ravioli, cookies, canned goods and my favorite chips “Charles potato chips” I haven’t seen them in years and they carry big bags. Another favorite they sell is ice cold Manhattan Special soda in the glass bottle an Italian American espresso soda, a Brooklyn favorite and hard to find in stores on Long Island!
