“Everything was great. Food, Service etc. Even the macchiato (no, not the chain coffee shops type, but a real one) was very good. Calamari appetizer was some of the best I've had. I had chicken [don't remember the name :) ] and it was very good. What was a surprise, is that when dishes come with a 'side' of pasta, restaurants use a bland 'marina' sauce. I never care for any of them... .but Pas-Tina's was very good and I enjoyed it. Desserts were also very good. I only had one disappointment, i.e. I am a gin drinker and hoped for a little better gin i.e. Hendricks. However, they do have Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray so I really didn't suffer :)“

“I am giving one star just to write this review. This place is a ZERO. I went in today to pick up a large order that had been paid for. Right away, it was wrong. We asked for each container to be wrapped in plastic, and it was not. Now, this is Yonkers, which takes forever to get anywhere, so I left with only a partial order because I was told that was all. I was picking it up for my family and hadn't placed the order myself. I asked if it was everything because i had a full order list in a text, i was told yes thank you and goodbye. 10 minutes after leaving, I was informed that "I" forget the pizza in the order. It was never given to me. I traveled 10 minutes back to pick up COLD PIZZA, They didn't even make us new pies! Old cold, hard pizza! Now my other food is cold as well. Another 25 minutes, and I finally got this food home. It was flavorless, cold, just the worst. I know you know who this is. You owe my father a full refund for that horrible food.We have been customers for years, and this is how we were treated. What a shame.“

“Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. You can tell it is a true labor of love for them. Cin-cin ladies!“

“Michelle was our server. Very friendly and efficient.
Food was outstanding.
We started with special mixed seafood in 2 large clam shells.
Dining partner had softshell crab (2) over linguini and he said it was the best softshell crab prep he ever had.
I had Chilean Sea Bass in a lobster bisque sauce with sweet potato crust over spinach.
Finished the meal with tartufo. Rich dark chocolate shell.
The chef has a flare for bringing out flavors with his combinations.“

The meatballs are so tender with great flavor, chicken picatta was fresh filling, tiramisu wad the best with a cappuccino. They gave us a free Sambucha (the orange one is good). The owner/manager, Walter introduced himself and sat at our table after dinner to ask us how we were doing etc..

They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. “My husband and I had another terrific meal at Broadway Bistro last evening.
We ordered from the special prix fixe menu that had so many great choices, it was hard to choose.
We settled on the scallops over polenta and the spring rolls with teryaki to start, and the panko horseradish flounder and grilled shrimp salad. Desert was the poached pear with raspberry sorbet.
Everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The wait staff is friendly and extremely efficient, and just make dining there such a terrific experience!“

My friend and I both had the minestrone soup and the fennel salad with shrimp, expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Coupled with the Linguine with REAL White Clam Sauce, which in itself was phenomenal, as well as a salad with Gorgonzola cheese that was spectacular. Modern has been around for a LONG TIME. Originally, you felt like you were sitting in the basement of a friend's home, and the food was just beyond incredible. Now, in the newer location the only thing thats changed is the size. The food has gotten even better (tough to believe since it already was EXCELLENT). The great service, the way they make you feel like family, and the food continues to be incredible....Wherever you are, if you're planning on being near New Rochelle....Modern is DEFINITELY a place you cant pass by, so ENJOY !!!!!!
