“I happened upon this place on what must have been their busiest night of the year: a Halloween kids' block party on Warburton. They were....beyond slammed. Kids and parents packed to the gills. I had ordered online, but obviously, there was NO way my order would be ready on time. The staff? Amazing. Yes, we waited, but they were so kind and apologetic about the reality of the situation. Oh yeah: the pizza is DAMN good, too. :) Highly recommend giving your time and money to this lovely village spot because they care just as much about their customers as they do their pizza.“

“I don't normally bother with reviewing places but I think this place deserves one! I can't speak on the fridge dinner-prepped foods cause that's not really my thing, but the sandwiches and rice balls here are fantastic, definitely some of the best I've had in NY when it comes to quality. The place is pricey, which also is not usually my thing, but it's clear to me why the prices are higher than other places (besides the area), and reason being is the quality of ingredients and care put into the food. The recipes for everything are exactly as they should be, every flavor is dialed in very carefully and clearly this place is run by someone who knows Italian food like the back of their hand and has a genuine love for it. Their coffee and tiramisu is great too! They've won me over, and I am not impressed by much these days. Last but not least, the staff there are absolutely lovely. Every time I go in there are guys preparing it all with what seems to be a lot of detail and attention, and the lady who's always working the register when I'm there is doing a great job and is sweet.“

“I’ve loved Slices for years now. Typically go with the chicken parm sub - always enough for two meals! Tonight I tried the new PINWHEELS - I think this is a new invention of Isaac’s. Basically it’s a pizza dough roll with cheese and a pizza topping - I had one spinach pinwheel and one pepperoni. And each pinwheel comes with a generous side car of tomato sauce. The bottom of the pinwheel is really crispy - somewhat akin to a deep dish pizza. Hard to describe! Highly recommend. Chef’s kiss!“

“Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. The owner is super sweet with a beautiful personality. He makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food was phenomenal every dish was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. The prices very reasonable for the service and food quality they provide. This is so far our favorite Italian cuisine restaurant I'm so glad we live close by we will be back. If I could give a 10 star I would!“

“Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. THIS PLACE!! After a long international flight into JFK and driving back to Boston with hungry kids, I stumbled on Da Giorgio, and it changed everything. The restaurant was packed but we were seated in minutes, surrounded by people talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves.

Our waiter was attentive, dinner started with fresh homemade baked bread and churned butter. Everything looked handpicked, fresh that day, and every dish was outstanding. My wife’s seafood fra diavolo was the best she’s ever had, my kids devoured their pasta, and my spaghetti and meatballs were so good I had to admit (sorry Mom in heaven), even though I'd get slapped for saying, they were the best I’ve ever tasted.

The chef even came out to greet guests.. a rare and special touch. I’ll be stopping here every trip into the City, and I can’t wait to dive deeper and deeper into the extensive and authentic menu. Truly amazing!“

“I took my family to la riserva last week. We had an amazing dinner. My girls loved the pasta fagioli!!! They also enjoyed their meals; pasta with marinara and the chicken parmigiana with green beans. My husband and I equally enjoyed our meals. The service was great. Our waitress was knowledgeable and everything came out in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend la riserva to my friends.“

“Saggio is a far and away a main staple of the neighborhood and has been for years. I've been here many times and have never left unsatisfied.

Is it the best Italian you've ever had, especially in a city like New York? Probably not. But they're insanely consistent and the service is warm and friendly--especially their bar staff. They have a lot of employees that have been there for years and very much care for the clientele they serve and they make an effort to actually remember you.

I'm a fan of their frequent rotating dinner specials that change from season-to-season. They rarely miss. I've also never had something off of their main menu that I've ever disliked, and I love to try new things, so it's nice to have a wide spread to let you adventure out, but you can always find the regular go-tos as well.

It's a relief to have somewhere that you can trust like them in Hudson Heights.

The wife and I are a big fan of their bottomless brunch on the weekends. Their back patio is a gorgeous little cozy nook in the middle of the city that blocks out all of the noise from the busy street in front of it.

Since they changed out the old tables to booths, the ambiance has felt very cozy. Vibes are on-point.

If you come back frequently, you'll see a lot of regulars at the bar during happy hour, and people aren't afraid to engage in conversation, which is abnormal (and welcome) in recent times. I've randomly met some pretty cool people.“

We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. In no time we had a bottle of Vino Tinto in front of us and people were making us try food they were dining on. I felt like I was at my friends ,' THE PIAZZAS " house. We ordered from the special prix fixe menu that had so many great choices, it was hard to choose.
We settled on the scallops over polenta and the spring rolls with teryaki to start, and the panko horseradish flounder and grilled shrimp salad. Desert was the poached pear with raspberry sorbet.

“This location i have come to a few times. It has progressively become better and better.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quite, while there is a great social bar, with very nice accomodationimg staff and the downtown has become much better than it use to be that this hotel is right within.

Only downside I've experienced is the up charge fee for late checkout. Normally around the world a late checkout there is not a secondary charge of you request up till 1-2pm. Unfortunately this hotel is going with the US trend of charging consumers for needing a later checkout even if you checking at 11pm bc of late travel etc.. Only down on have to say, but hotel it top notch“

“I have Celiac disease, and it's difficult to find a restaurant with good gluten free food. Pastina's is definitely the place to go for a great meal. Pastina's has a gluten free Chicken Marsala dish that is delicious. This restaurant also has other gluten free options which I've had, that are equally as delicious.“

For appetizers we had the pull apart bread and the fried calamari. The calamari were good but the pull apart bread was on another level. We all loved it. Wasn't sure what to order for my entree and the server recomended the chicken francese. I am so glad I listened because it was awesome. It comes alone so I ordered a side of mash potatoes which was average. For dessert, I had the chocolate cake. It was rich and delicious. Definitely good to share. Ever all, food was great, drinks were strong and good, and service was amazing. Definitely recommend.“
