“My husband & discovered Uncle Charlie’s a few years ago on a trip & now it’s a must for us every time we visit NYC. We like that it’s less touristy & more of a local hangout than some of the other piano bars in town. The bartenders & local regulars are friendly, the drinks reasonably priced & we have always felt very welcome included as visitors.“

Want to specifically shout out Omar and Kass who just last night kept us safe when a group of pretty disrespectful and aggressive men came in with their girlfriends and started trying to take over the bar by being pushy, demanding, and physically imposing. They cut the them off at the bar before it escalated to something dangerous and had security take them out. Really appreciated that!“

“Visited NY with some friends from SoCal, we went in expecting more of a gimmicky bar vibe but was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere. It felt like a very homely-hole in the wall atmosphere. Chuck was our bartender and he was outstanding, fast and efficient, super welcoming. If you were going alone I’d hope you get his shift, he genuinely tries his darndest to connect all those coming here, and I think that’s what made and still makes stonewall what it is, a place for the community to socialize, relax, connect. Came in expecting to get only one drink but we stayed for hours.“

“I have gone on different nights and is always a great vibe. There are multiple levels. The drag shows are entertaining, and the karaoke was inviting for everyone.

Love the bartenders and there are some good looking people if you are out looking for your person or some fun. There was a variety of ages.

Lastly, the outside patio is nice to get fresh air or have a smoke if you are a smoker. Overall the vibes are great and it’s a fun time!“

“If you're on the fence about going to Eagle, well just hop off already and get your bum over there. I finally did and realized I had been missing out all this time. This fantastically grungy place is fueled by a mix of thumping beats, leather harnesses, and shirtless men. Even at its busiest, the vibe stays open, fun, and surprisingly well organized.

The Wednesday before thanksgiving is apparently known for being the busiest night at the Eagle, and this year's record crowd should have sunk the whole operation, but the staff kept the entire production going smoothly like it was rehearsed.

The Eagle's security team deserves direct credit. They managed an impossibly massive crowd without a hitch. Even with thousands trying to get in, the kilometric entrance line and the coat check line that stretched to the roof moved smoothly and never descended into chaos. Dan in particular handled a near-impossible task: recovering my smartwatch from a crowd so packed I had assumed it was gone for good. He somehow retrieved it, safeguarded it, and returned it to me with the utmost professionalism.

Music is solid. The vibe is leather and musk. The inclusivity is not just a tag line but a daily practice. This bar deserves every positive review on this app. Ignore the haters. Peace!“

“I always go here after work but today December 23 at 2:58 am I decide to go here after my company Christmas party and the security guy said they were already closed . It would be nice if they post the real time close. Because I payed 25 dollars uber going there thinking they close at 4 am .“

Staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in. Top floor was a typical lounge, drinks were great. Downstairs is a different ballgame. Literally.
