“This restaurant has a very strong “family owned” feel and appearance. They also have a campground on the premises, off to the side. Meal was delicious and very reasonably priced as well ($41 for a real beef cheeseburger, homemade fries, two appetizers, two beers, and a soda). Nice that it is on the trail system and that they sell gas. Within great proximity (about a 2 min ride) to 1892 Bar and Grill to be able to make an afternoon out of your trip. Would definitely stop back in the next time we are riding that direction. Thanks Charlies!“

“A local recommended this restaurant for breakfast during our trip to the lake. We had to wait 40 minutes since the restaurant is small, but it was worth the wait. The staff was very attentive and the food was excellent! We will definitely return!“

“Best breakfasts in the Adirondack Park and it’s a big park. Three types of coffee always available. The bread and sausages are homemade. A tip: One pancake may be enough; links over patties. Lunch is right up there too. It’s friendly, chatty, and a place you can sit and read the newspaper (or your phone) and watch Saranac Lake stroll by on Main Street“

“Small, cozy place. Service was friendly and easy going. Better tell them if you’re in any rush.Food was good. We had the General Tso’s Tofu, Gnocchi, Hanger Steak and Chicken Tikka Masala. As vegetarians we noticed some menu errors like the “Lobster Roll” having a ‘v’, vegetarian label on the menu. Oops. The others tried the lobster roll and it was good.Dessert we shared the Maple Pot o Crème, wow, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter cup, very good.Vegetarian options: Always has vegetarian choices. Apps and mains.“

“Visited with my lady after doing some hiking earlier in the day. I was weighing area dinner options until I started reading the menu. I was immediately interested in the Thai Maple chicken wings. Followed by Fried Pickles with Sriracha ranch. Ok now we're 2/2. Brussels? Not usually a fan. But the menu description made it worth a shot. Finally, we saw the Whipped Feta app and decided this was the place. We don't need to look at entrees, it's apps for dinner tonight. Well, we should probably get a salad to make it a healthy mealThe wings come in orders of 6 or 12. They were big and juicy. The Thai Maple was well balanced, not too sweet. The Pickles were tasty. Get in there with your hands, get some of that arugula and pickled onion together with the pickle and dip it all in the Sriracha ranch. The Brussels were flavorful and crispy, I would order them again. The whipped Feta app is served hot and the first bite, with honey and pistachio, was divine. Star of the show.I'm not usually a porter guy, but the maple cream porter was delicious and would have been worth a second glass if I was staying longer.By the time we made it through the apps, the salad was an afterthought and we took most of it to go.Atmosphere was quiet and dim, with some overhead music that wasn't over the top loud. Exactly what we were looking for. I think calling it elevated bar food sells it short, but if you're looking for menu items with character and a chill vibe, this is a great spot. 4 apps, Chix Caesar Salad, and 3 beers cost around $90. You can certainly get out of there for cheaper, but we wanted to try a variety of things“
“Amazing dinner! Fun drink menu, great service and fantastic ambiance. Food was delicious and the view is unmatched. We had the campfire and fleur de lis to drink- both fab. Had the scallop and lobster risotto as an entree and it was amazing!!!“

“The restaurant has a real local and welcoming feel. Our waitress Meana, was extremely friendly, funny and catered to all our needs in a timely manner. Compliments to chef “Doobie’ the food was absolutely delicious! We all ordered something different and shared plates. There’s even a jukebox and pool table. We wouldn’t change a thing about ☘️ Bar & Grill!“

“I'm so happy we found this place. I'm Muslim so it was hard to find halal food around lake placid. This was one place we found fish and chips and salmon with veggies.Thank you for having that on the menu please don't remove it.They were closed on Sunday so we checked a few places menu online, said it had fish and chips and when we got there it wasn't. We called somewhere and they said yes they serve fish and chips and when we arrive they said no. We just ended up getting pizza from the last place we called and visited ugh ?,“

“I was excited to try the Hunters Chicken with pork belly & cognac that is listed on their online menu as well as presented to us in the restaurant on their menu. Unfortunately it was no longer offered. Back up choice Butternut squash ravioli with a sage butter sauce and kale potato hash. I liked the hash but felt the ravioli had a weird sweetness to it and was dry due as not enough sauce. I did not finish it. My husband had the Camp Fire Burger which was local beef and perfectly cooked. He had a side of Mac n cheese with local meirers cheese which was a little too milky for us & lacked cheese taste and texture.“
“Everything was delicious. Live music was awesome. Tips were very flavorful and tender. My only complaint was that the server hands you a small device with the total of your bill and expects you to pay him on the spot. I like to look at my bill and decide on a tip, not while the server is standing there waiting. Hayden was a great server. Will come sgain.“
“We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Boathouse. My husband had the Reuben with those delicious home made chips and a caesar salad. I had the margarita flatbread with a garden salad. Excellent. A nice glass of whispering angel and a blue moon topped it off perfectly. Waitress was very attentive. Prices were very reasonable.. lovely view as well. A perk of staying at the hotel is a 15 percent off coupon. Nice touch.“

“The food was amazing. The poutine was on point. Also, the fries are homemade and taste amazing the burgers, the wings. The drinks are just the best you can get for a quick stop. 10 out of 10 I would go back again.Wheelchair accessibility: For the people who are handicap or need a wheelchair to get into the building there is a ramp in the front of the building, and on the side of the building there is a staircase“
