“We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“We had a dinner party for my husband’s birthday. The service was impeccable. The staff were helpful, polite and genuinely nice to my guests. The Manager, Maria was exceptional. She made sure that we were well taken care of in every way. All our dietary restriction were met. The Owner, Dennis was very nice and accommodating from day one. He made sure we had a great time. Everyone of our guests complimented the food, very well seasoned and flavorful. Great drinks. The venue is beautiful and clean. Great space. I absolutely recommend Laterna for big or small events. Yesterday, late at night we were looking for options for dinner and wanted a break from regular bowl meals we takeout. I had seen this place many a times while passing by and read reviews on google. I don’t know why I took so long to visit it. I absolutely loved the flavors, took a Zeus bowl and chicken skewers. It was nicely seasoned and most importantly cooked well. Owners are friendly. I would say it’s easy to miss this place, but do not miss it. Give it a try. ‘Cause I will be going again for some gyros 😊“

“I’ve passed here hundreds of times but never thought to go in. My partner and I are trying to eat a bit better, so we went here on a whim to try and avoid fast food. The service was great and friendly, the server described everything in detail. The food took a bit of time to come out, but it was well worth it. The chicken souvlaki platter, although pricey, is totally worth it. There is SO MUCH food on the plate. The feta on the salad is creamy and better than any I’ve ever had. The pita was also really great, especially with the spot sauce. We’ve eaten here three times in a couple weeks. And the cherry on top? The place is EXTREMELY clean and well cared for. Be sure to try the rice pudding for dessert! One of our go-to spots now.“

“Greek Cove Merrick’s lunch special is incredible. Ate the warm pita in the car on the way home! Grilled chicken with a salad and rice. One huge chicken cutlet over a generous portion of delicious rice and a tasty Greek salad- with a grape leaf and feta! I am a very picky eater but this chix was seasoned beautifully, so that if garlic, onion or rosemary(my triple threat) was used, it all blended together perfectly so that even I could not pick out the offensive spice. Amazingly, the yogurt sauce is also tasty( I hate yogurt sauce;usually throw it away). Forgot to tell them not to give it to me, so as not to waste it, but I’m glad I forgot! All of this, and a lot of smiling happy employees, for $12.99 cash. Wowza.“

“My husband, and I, ordered food, for delivery.
We purchased the small garden salad, with its generous portions of feta cheese, Romaine/ iceberg lettuce, and sliced tomatoes. We chose the protein add-ons, of fresh, grilled salmon, and, falafel.
All, were very satisfying.
We also had rice pilaf, as well as hummus, and tzatziki dips.
We liked the rice, and dips, which complemented the warm, wheat pitas.

“I ordered a specialty chicken pizza, a steak and shrimp gyro and zeppoles...honestly the pizza and gyros were delicious but i had been craving zeppole and they were horrible. My jaw hurt trying to chew them, they were so hard probably refried and not fresh. Sadly ordered 2 orders and had to throw both out ?“
