“We always enjoy our trips to Shamus. We enjoy everything about the experience. Very pleasant people and excellent background music. My fish and chips was very good and they had no problem with a substitution. My wife ordered twin filets. We've found many restaurants are using tenderizer on their meat. No so here. The filets were outstanding. While there, we ordered the beef with Stout gravy to take out. It's been excellent at the restaurant, but the takeout was just marginal. The gravy was milky and the flavor rather bland. Hopefully they haven't changed the recipe from the rich brown stout gravy. That's the only reason the food didn't get five stars. WE aren't really dessert people, but in the past we've had no complaints on that front. Shamus is our home away from home for a great meal with really nice atmosphere.“

“I usually don't leave a response but for here I had to. First when we arrived it was kinda confusing between a dollar general and a tanning saloon but overall ok area. We were seated by a hostess, the. Greeted by our waitress which I mite add very pleasant and down to earth. I ordered the stuffed banana peppers and buffalo eggs rolls as an app and the steak and banana pizza. It was average wait time. Now the exciting part!!!! The food was absolutely amazing peppers mild in heat prepared well , the buffalo egg rolls O M G!!! That's all. Now the steak pizza is probably one of the best pizza I have eaten in the 38 years I have been alive fresh dough fresh sauce w.e it was. It was fantastic and the rest of Ingredients were amazing. I give this place a 4.9 almost perfect.“

“Had a great dinner last Friday night. Fish fry was one of the best my husband (fish fry expert) has had in a while. Fish and fries were fresh, light, and crispy. Cole slaw was delicious. I had chicken parm which was enough for three meals!! Our server, Jessie, treated us like long-time regulars. She was friendly and attentive without hovering, and let us choose our table from among the few available. It’s clearly a popular neighborhood restaurant and for good reason! Will definitely be back again.“
