i tried matcha latte ($6) 🍵 and it did not disappoint. they whisked it on the spot (not from a huge pre-made batch👌🏻which i have seen a lot these days).

they have wifi, many seats (with a few outlets), restroom, and great coffee / pastry menu. you can choose a seat by the window, couch, or proper table. there is ample natural light here.

“I stumbled onto this place yesterday. I just recently started working around the corner. I entered the coffee shop and I was instantly greeted by such a sweet lady. I ordered the Nutella monster but explained to her that I don’t want it too and she made it absolutely delicious. Tasty and not too sweet at all so I didn’t feel too guilty for bending my diet haha! I also bought an avocado toast with a side of bacon….ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This morning, I went back….yup, I sure did. Today, I tried the hot Nutella latte (again, less sweet) and was perfect for me! “We are visiting from Miami and stumbled upon this hidden gem. We ordered blueberry pancakes , 2 egg platers and a breakfast sandwich and everything was a 10/10. I got myself a mushroom coffee which was interesting , very good as well. The place is small and homey. The staff was very kind and welcoming. They have a variety of options on the menu & they even have vegan protein powder to make shakes. The hash browns and eggs were delicious and were not greasy at all. Fast service . “The sandwich and salad we ordered were fresh and delicious. The iced coffee was perfectly brewed and tasted great too. Order ahead if yourbin a rush as everything is prepared fresh, so it takes a few minutes longer. Excellent place! I will stop again when I'm in the area!“

“It’s a bit of a shame that the diner and bagel place couldn’t make this location work, but it certainly works as a Starbucks. I’m sort of surprised it doesn’t feel bigger — the diner did. But it’s more of a “grab and go outside the subway” Starbucks than a “sit and work or chat” Starbucks. There are places for that inside, but it’s a bit cramped and noisy and the neighborhood does have better options.

Miraculously, the Starbucks WiFi does reach across the street to Cafe Henri, which is one of my favorite places in the world but does not have its own WiFi.

Staff is consistently awesome. There are some disturbed people who loiter nearby or even inside sometimes during the day, but the 108th precinct is across the street so it never feels actually dangerous. I feel bad for the staff having to deal with it though.“

“My husband and I had the most unforgettable experience at Cannelle Patisserie on Sunday, February 1. We brought in the gender results for our future baby, and from the moment we walked in, the staff treated our little secret with so much warmth, excitement, and genuine joy.

They were thrilled to be part of our surprise and went completely above and beyond—creating the yummiest box of pastries in the color of our baby’s gender for us to open later at home. They even included the sweetest handwritten note and, to our absolute delight, a precious little pink cake. (It was a girl! 💕)

“I’ve known Spot for over 10 years, since their very first location on St. Marks. Over the years, they’ve expanded to more locations, including LIC and Flushing. Since the LIC location is close to where I live, I was genuinely excited when they opened in this area.

Their Green Tea Lava and Golden Toast have been amazing since day one and remain consistently great even now. Back then, the dessert was called Green Tea Lava Cake. It seems they later renamed it to Matcha Lava, likely to give it a more premium feel.

This time, I also tried one of their newer desserts an ube-based dish. It was okay and didn’t particularly stand out, but I do appreciate that they continue to update their menu seasonally and introduce new items.

Overall, it’s great to see the brand evolving while maintaining the quality of the classics that made it popular in the first place.“

The first time I got my frappe was perfect. However, when I didn’t like it I requested another one and they don’t hesitate to remake your drink— That’s cool.
