“Authentic Japanese spot serving quality cuts at a fraction of the price of other places. Particularly enjoyed the salmon and tuna cuts as well as the takoyaki. The atmosphere transports you back to little hole-in-the-walls in Japan and the staff are so sweet and attentive. Will definitely come back!“

“Great value and solid portion with the bento box. The bubble tea is delicious but make sure you get at least 50% sugar if you like it sweet.
PS pls update the location to Astoria on your website - no one would call this LIC!“

“I've been here several times for dinner with my preschool-aged son and just went today for lunch. It's been a treat each time. I try a different side dish from their rotating menu on each visit, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Everything on their menu has been just the right savory, harmonious amount of flavor without being overly salty or overdone in any way. My son and I also love the fresh tofu. The staff has been very courteous, and everything is reasonably priced. I hope they stay around in LIC because there aren't very many restaurants like this that make things so comfortable in every way. I seldom dine out but I'd eat here anyday.“

“Such a culinary experience!
The creamy mentaiko pasta ain’t nothing like Nona used to make it, but very interesting and hearty flavor.
The Fish and rice bowl was incredibly fresh and tender. Couldn’t ask for anything better“

“I got a rice tonkatsu curry dish here, which I expected to just be a plain dish but it was served with a variety of vegetables which really elevated the meal. The chicken and curry together had great flavor and the entire thing was quite filling.“
“Simple fresh and tasty options, many great choices to choose from and combinations are impressive. Hot foods are available just as well“

“It’s in a food bazaar so the atmosphere is chaos ?But my mom and I are known there. We get the usual spring rolls or chicken teriyaki. They are nice, friendly and have good food.My go to guy is the tall Asian guy there! He is very kind to myMother which I appreciate.Thank you!
Vegetarian options: The sides and probably can opt out for it getting meat and do veggies rice and sauce. They use the same grill too but you can ask for them to clean it to avoid cross contamination“

“If you don’t like a ramen with an actual broth base, keep walking! But if you like quality ingredients and no-frills ramen, this is the ramen for you. Shio is straight broth and the Sho Yu is slightly a bolder version.
The Cha-Shu pork were excellent cuts, with the right mix of meat and fat, and they were braised to the perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture without being too soft.
All for $18. Yes please. There is clearly a focus on quality ingredients and precision preparation. The atmosphere felt very tidy and a step above casual, with light jazz music and airy decor. A great add to the neighborhood.
The fries were quite nice as well.
The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They had an authentic interest in our dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning from time to time. Hopefully brunch is similarly impressive!
FWIW, we sat at the bar for a chill date night and enjoyed to intersecting with the bartender while she carefully crafted mixed drinks that each had a unique edge to them.“
