“Recently went and although the food and waiter staff were great, we were expecting what we seen on here. There was no performances. An empty space. Apparently there's a 2 hr gap between brunch and dinner. The booking site allowed for a 4pm reservation. When we arrived we were accommodated but looked at funny. We found out that brunch had ended at 3pm. I was really hoping for the full experience I seen here and paid alot and didn't get it.“

I started with the Georgian salad and eggplant rolls, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I chose Ojakhuri which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. My friends selected: Adjaruli khachapuri (cheese and egg in the middle of deliciously baked bread) and Shrimp dish. This goes well with chacha and compote drink, make sure to have few shots. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to make recommendations based on our preferences. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, enhancing the overall dining experience. To top it all off, we indulged in the dessert, had 4 various ones that we split and all were AMAZING! This was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. BaBa’s is a must do for us every time we’re in NYC and recently we enjoyed the hand crafted delights at home when we received a bunch as a gift after having a baby for my postpartum nurturing. Just like the name every pierogis feels like a bit of love from grandmas kitchen straight to the heart ( by way of the tummy) We love you guys and we love babas!“

Greta was knowledgeable about the menu and offered delicious drink options tailored to our preferences. The fritters & oxtail were the highlights of the night! The prawns were also a 10/10. “I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Frevo. At first glance it looks like a gallery then behind one of the beautiful pieces of art a door leads you into a nice dimly lit restaurant. I loved it all. A true dining experience. I recommend doing the wine paring! Everything was delicious and the service was top tier. Bluefin tuna carpaccio - I loved the daikon underneath the tuna, very crunchy and refreshing too.

Beef tartare - I liked it in the beginning, but it sorta went too oily and greasy? Felt like could’ve used a lemon wedge next time instead.

Duck - probably my favorite dish here. The pickled cipollini with the sauce… wow! I didn’t know grilled dates were that sweet and a perfect combination with duck too!✅✅

Steaks (Bavette) - I already forgot what I ordered, so I’m trusting my guts and my memories. Plz bare w me. I gotta be honest, it’s a great medium rare steak, but it was so DIFFICULT TO SLICE IT AND chew IT. When we were trying to slice the steak with the knives, the tables were moving..
*we also ordered an extra sauce for the steak

Garlic pea shoots (sides) - just needed some veggies here.

“My friend and I came for a wonderful dinner last night. My friend had Svickova and I had the roast pork with sauerkraut, and dumplings. Everything was delicious and authentic just like when visiting the Czech Republic. We also had some great Czech beer! Service was also very friendly and the restaurant itself looks very nice and cozy inside. Koliba is truly a gem in New York City and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Czech cuisine!“
