“I experienced Nettie’s for the first time last evening. My dining experience was excellent from arrival to departure. The food was “DELISH!” The owner was welcoming & hospitable, the service was good, and the music and atmosphere wea awesome! I am so pleased and proud to have a “Black” owned establishment where you can dine in Queens in a tasteful environment, supporting our entrepreneurs and our community. “These prices r better in NJ. The lunch is 1099 and you also can take lunch out to go home. The only good thing here is that you can have the lunch time in and just have to wait to pack it up to take it to go home what's a lunch is 1299 here in N.Y. Also the food in NJ was cooked better I had to return the pasta for some new one cooked properly. Cold meat.“

“I came here for a get together for a friend's graduation.
It's a really nice family-owned restaurant in the area. Would be a decent date spot, especially because of the outdoor seating... call ahead and see if you can bring a board game.
Kimchi burger was amazing and I'd come back just for that!“

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.
Regarding the food:
Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.
Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.
King Salmon: Quite tender.
Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.
Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.
Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“My family and I went to Veranda restaurant in Bayside yesterday for. Birthday dinner. The restaurant is well located, with street parking and valet service as well. There’s an outdoor patio, that for obvious reason we couldn’t use. The temperatures in NY have been in the single digits lately. The food and the service were on another level! Gregory was very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was finger liking good! I had the pan seared scallops with spinach risotto and OMG. I can’t wait to go back. Everyone was pleased with the their food choices and I highly recommend this place, unfortunately I didn’t take pics of everyone’s food. Only if mine, I hope you find this review useful. “Our first time here. We will be back.
There is valet parking, which in 10 degree weather is a huge plus.
There was a coat check which is another perk.
Then we were seated in the main dining area in a lovely and comfortable table with a cloth tablecloth and napkins, which is a great commodity nowadays in an era where even upscale restaurants have given into.
The service was phenomenal.
Presented with warm fresh rolls along with the menus. A food menu and a drinks menu.
We dined a three course meal which was outstanding. From the starters to desert everything was cooked perfectly, plated and presented like an upscale restaurant should.
The meal, service and atmosphere was worth the price.

“Lovely neighborhood cafe in a beautiful, secluded beach community. They have a convenient parking lot, and the atmosphere is serene. The food is great, and the portions are huge. “Found this place on our way from JFK to our house after a long flight. We could not have been happy with our experience. We had the pleasure of having Charlie as our server and he was personable and welcoming. The food was fresh delicious and served quickly. I had the waffle with fruit and Nutella it was excellent My husband had a tuna sandwich with french fries and fresh squeezed orange juice. Both really hit the spot after a long day of traveling. Will definitely make this our stop anytime we travel from JFK. Highly recommend.“

“Delicious well-seasoned food. We had the shrimp boil with potatoes, corn, and broccoli, an order of cranberry rice, and an order of jerk wings. Every dish was great. Service is nice. The food is made to order so it’s not fast but it’s worth it. There are two outdoor tables so seating is a little bit difficult to come by.“
