A Hidden Sushi Gem That Deserves a Spotlight!
Hazuki Sushi in Glen Cove is an absolute treasure — the kind of place you almost want to keep a secret but can’t help shouting from the rooftops. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted like family. The energy is warm, the smiles are genuine, and the service? Beyond phenomenal.
Now, let’s talk sushi: FRESH doesn’t even begin to describe it. Every bite is a burst of flavor, a dance of texture, a masterpiece on a plate. Their selection is outstanding — from melt-in-your-mouth toro to creative rolls that somehow taste even better than they look (and they look stunning).
Consistency is key, and Hazuki nails it every single time. It’s become a favorite for our whole family — even the kids are obsessed (and trust me, that says a lot).
If you’re searching for sushi that’s not just food but an experience — delicious, memorable, and absolutely worth the trip — Hazuki Sushi is it.
💫 11/10. A must-visit. A repeat visit. A forever favorite.“

“It’s been a while since I’ve been to Mama Sushi, but they did not disappoint! Happy hour was great—the margaritas were on point. The sushi was, of course, amazing, and the shrimp tacos were mad good! I’ll definitely be back. Big shout out to the free valet too, because parking was definitely impossible.“

“Tried the passion fruit boba tea, and it was so refreshing! The balance of sweet and tangy was perfect, and the tropical flavor really stood out. The boba pearls were chewy and fresh, adding a fun texture to every sip. Definitely a go-to drink when I want something fruity and light.“

“Osaka Sushi has become one of our go-to delivery spots. The fish is always fresh, the rolls are tasty, and everything arrives just as it should. No, it’s not omakase-grade artistry but it doesn’t try to be. What it does deliver is solid, reliable sushi you can actually look forward to on a weeknight.“

“I don’t know about the rest of you all, but this is by far, the best Japanese Cuisine place in the Area. Some of the best items from their menu The Angry Dragon Sushi, The Shrimp tempura, and the Spicy Salmon rolls.
Also try the gyoza and the amazing Kani salad (regular or spicy)
Also the presentation is outstanding, and don’t forget to try their amazing Thai ice Tea which is homemade. 100% recommended. 🫶🏻
PS: ask for their Fried Oreo Dessert, you won’t regret it😊“

“I am so happy to live right near Kiku because they are a solid, authentic place, which is so hard to find. Their beef and broccoli as well as the lo mein is as good as Chinatown. Some Chinese takeout places I’ve tried in the outer boroughs use really low quality meat and skimp on the good ingredients, but not Kiku! The sushi always tastes fresh and the proportion of stuffing to rice is perfect. There’s a parking lot right outside which is very convenient for pickup.“

“The food is AMAZING - one of the best Asian fusion I've had! Be patient if you go here - staff is totally overwhelmed with all the customers getting takeout, delivery service and regular diners. The dumpling soup is unbelievable. Lobster tempura roll was "fire" according to my son.“

“Sushi Tatsu is a cozy eatery conveniently located next to Daido Market, a Japanese neighborhood supermarket. It features two small two-person tables and several high seats facing the window, making it a simple yet welcoming spot. Municipal pay parking is available nearby, adding to its accessibility.
The menu focuses on home-style cooking. I tried the shrimp udon, which had a clear, classic broth—nothing extraordinary, but comforting nonetheless. The service was excellent—warm and attentive, perfect for lifting your spirits on a cold winter day.
Their sushi and sashimi options are reasonably priced and include classics like tuna and salmon. The tuna roll was particularly noteworthy, with perfectly pressed rice. If you're in the area and looking for a warm, affordable meal, Sushi Tatsu is a great option to consider.“

“Was our first visit to Oko and we can't wait to return! Everything was amazing...the food, service and ambiance! Our server gave us great advice about ordering, which enabled us to sample a wide variety of menu options. We tried a few crispy rice pieces, some handrolls and several of the skewers. The fish was so fresh and all the non-raw items were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!“

“I am a famously fussy eater and vegetarian, so most of the time if my loved ones are getting sushi I either don’t eat at the restaurant or get a small side dish that I can have. At Hajime they had so many options that I could choose from I was very surprised.
I really wanted the fried noodles but it came with chicken and vegetables, but our very friendly waiter said without the chicken was really no problem. I also let him know that I can’t have any spice and he reassured me when I ordered and again when it arrived that there was no spice and he even waited for me to take a mouthful of a food to ensure it was okay for me. I’ve never felt so cared about in a restaurant before and I was so grateful to him for caring about a seemingly fussy girl.
We genuinely had the best time here for my fiancés birthday, and after our entrees they brought us a huge plate of different sorbets with a candle in. We had no idea they were doing this and it was such a thoughtful touch.
I very much got the vibe of a family business that has been around a while, quietly serving the most delicious food. Truly a hidden gem! We have agreed that we will go out of our way to travel the half an hour it takes to get here just for this place. The atmosphere and hospitality is unmatched. Thank you so much!“

“Just had the best dinner at Shoyu Sushi in Scarsdale. I’m vegan, and they have a few options for appetizers, sushi and entrees. Got the fried gyoza, vegetable roll, kampyo roll and vegetable curry and it was extremely satisfying and everything was hot and fresh. Presentation is cute and they use real wasabi paste (not horseradish). Westchester’s food scene is pretty lacking but this place definitely makes up for it. Found my new favorite Japanese/sushi place!
Vegetarian options: They have vegetable rolls and veggie dinner entrees“
