“Attentive service, Bottles of Sake & a mixed array of sushi! The first sushi restaurant that i been to serves Toro.Vegetarian options: They have vegetablesParking: Street parking and a parking lot across the streetKid-friendliness: It’s a kid friendly restaurant“
“Good sushi, good place, good people. They have a very cute decoration and a kid-friendly menu, too. One of the best sushi places in North Jersey.Kid-friendliness: The choo choo train that carries the plates is a big attraction for kids. The owners communicate so well with kids. They make cotton candy in front of kids and with them. And they have many options for picky kids. My 7 year-old daughter loved everything about this place.“
“Yesterday was our first visit to the Osaka Sushi Restaurant, today is our second visit. We came to the Osaka Sushi restaurant from Las Vegas to New Jersey on a trip. Their business is very good, We saw a lot of peoples eating sushi here when we be there. the owner of a warm reception for us, we came for the first time, gave us a lot of good recommendations, food is very fresh. The service is very good, the atmosphere is very good, we see someone's birthday, we are very happy. We'll be back!“
“Shiraz is still the yet to be discovered and immensely enjoyed in White Plains and the NY suburb Tri-States. . Whether it is for weekday lunch or dinner, a couple sublimed drinks or the Sushi bar, or the more elaborate weekend family eats or gatherings and live “Jazzy JAZX” music , or be it at times a most exquisite private party and surreal ambiance, Shiraz has already become a fine cuisine destination which the patrons take pride In experiencing and regularly returning to great times….great food drink quality ingredients, excellent service, receptive to patrons’ suggestions, and with convenient location in the heart of vibrant white plains, there is no need to travel long to enjoy a most sublimed culinary experience.“
“This is our second time here. We thought about it all week and had to come back here. We don't always repeat restaurants because there are so many try, but we will definitely keep coming back. We got the crispy rice with tuna, the Hakkaido roll, the chase roll, and the passion roll (wow). This is by far one of our favorite restaurants. The staff are great too.“
“First time eating here and the food is phenomenal. $15 large bowl and soup with good quantity/quality of ingredients. Gladis made my bowl and it was perfect!!! For those ordering with wasabi aioli be mindful of how much you add because it is strong“
“1. Fish quality is good. Tuna could be better at least the day I went.2. Signature Futomaki is my pick on this place.3. Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) is ok, but I would not order this again. Cooked well but not real Japanese style.4. It’s BYOB so make sure to bring your favorite sake.5. Friday evening is busy so go early if you plan being there.“
“I love Anytime because the vibe is a bit more fancier than other regular pochas you would go to in Fort Lee or Palisades Park. The servers are always nice and attentive. The food is top notch. If you order the honey makgeolli (rice wine) the servers will slice up real honey and put it in your glass.“
“I have never had a better pork Katsu in my life! My friend offered to take me here and I had no idea what a treat this was. I had to take one home for my son. When I say the pork was still crispy when I got home 20mins later! Perfection and can't wait to go back!“
“I would highly recommend anyone looking for a restaurant with delicious food and lively atmosphere. We recently dined at Jugemu that exudes a cozy and friendly atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful array of delicious Japanese dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. I recommend to try fresh oysters here. It was creamy in texture and had an fresh splash of sea flavor that I can only describe as “yummy.” The sushi rolls, adorned with inventive combinations, marry tradition with innovation, leaving an indelible impression. What truly stood out was the impeccable service – attentive and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for a delightful Japanese culinary journey!“
“My husband is on a Renal Diet and depressed because of it. We come to Kura, Fort Lee weekly. He can eat like he used to and thanks to the Sashimi options stay in target. It’s fun. And even if our adult daughter’s @empirestateofmurray can not come we bring g back prize balls. It’s a win-win. Shout out to Rossana!“
“Food 10/10Crazy that their omakase set for takeout is only 60 dollars and the fish is flown in from Totsuya fish market. Incredibly generous servings and the quality of the fish is superb. I was in actual shock when I took the first bite. The rice is alright, but the star of the show is always the fish so it doesn’t really matter. So impressed by their supreme sushi and sashimi set. Better than some omakase spots in manhattan. So delicious and so close to home too I can’t wait to return.“
“Had omakase for my birthday with my wife recently and I was can 1000% say it was the best meal I have ever eaten in my 44 years. I spent 25 years in high end seafood, (wholesale, retail, private chef, and catering) and was blown away by the quality of the fish! The chef was masterful as he balanced every single course (in had the 16) to perfection. He was incredibly skilled and a wonderful artist. The selection of fish from Japan was amazing. He explained every course as he served us. This place is a gem. I have eaten at just about every single sushi restaurant around and on see no reason to go anywhere else anymore. The place is clean and beautiful, the owner and staff were friendly and very interactive. The preparation and care that went into everyone was second to none. If you enjoy the finest sushi, please don't hesitate and go! And the only way to go is omakase“
“We had the soup dumplings with the sushi entre combo. 3 and a baby. We spent 95 not including tip.Food was delicious, portions were filling, they had high chairs and plenty of spaceParking: Plenty of parking and a lot nearbyKid-friendliness: Family restaurant“
“I absolutely LOVE the food here. It’s immensely Fresh and the chef and staff really take their time and prepare a great experience. It’s hands down the best Japanese food in All of rockland county . Everything is very reasonably priced as well. Love this place !“
“Oh. Em. Gee. I'm a sushi lover & I honestly feel like I never really had sushi until dining here. This is an experience on a whole other level. Quality trumps quantity here & it's worth every penny. Every bite melted in my mouth. Ambiance: A+. Service: A+. Food: A++“
“If I have to choose one Korean sushi/sashimi restaurant in NJ, then Bada Story Englewood Cliffs is the one. The staff are extremely well trained. The back of house staff knows a thing or two about culinary excellence. And the owner/executive chef has put together an awesome items in the menu.Bada Story’s dinner feast boasts the most extensive assortment of appetizing sashimi in the tristate area. No, it does not come cheap. But the quality of fish they bring out totally justifies the pricing. Even the side dishes (aka tskedashi) is consisted of noteworthy seafood items. Dessert - the seafood soup - is the only thing that’s disappointing, but you are probably 120% over your capacity by the time you get the soup. By the way, isn’t it funny that Koreans eat a bowl of rice and seafood soup for their dessert?Their lunch special is outstanding as well. Whenever I crave sashimi, but I don’t want to spend $250 for a meal, I go to Bada Story for their lunch special. Nicely priced, but not compromised in quality. When the warm drinking water is exceptionally tasty (aka seung-nyeung) you know you are at a well operated restaurant. Highly recommended.“
“Everything was delicious, we ordered Sushi and Hibachi, very nice show although at the time of the show and distributing the food the person who performs the show is a little careless because the food falls on all sides of the table but I suppose it is part of the show. The attention was very good always attentive to our needs. I liked the detail with the presentation of the sushi in addition to the very fresh flavor.“
“Lower the Sinatra music, Mike, play Kitaro instead! Also, pls add sukiyaki to the kitchen dishes. There is only one place in Hartsdale that offers a mediocre version, sadly...Food here is great, so is service. Any of the maki rolls, nigiri, etc., can't go wrong. The fish tank alone is worth the visit!“
“We had a wonderful Omakase experience with Chef Masa. He did surprise us with foods that were entirely new to us (like Sea Urchins). All the fish served were sourced from Japan and tasted like nothing we had before. The place was really hard to find because it was late evening and their front entrance is on a by-lane next to the back entrance of Kiky Jewelers.“
“Best sushi in White Plains by a good bit.Service in-house is also excellent and it’s very affordable for the quality of the food. Genuinely surprised there isn’t a line to get in this place, everything I’ve ever had has been fantastic.“
“This mom-and-pop hole in the wall sushi joint isn't aiming for Nobu, and that's part of its charm. With top-notch fish quality and surprisingly generous portion sizes, it's a unique experience. The large order, a feast for 5-6 adults, comes with an abundance of ginger, enough to start your own sushi joint.A friendly suggestion: pre-mixing the spicy tuna and salmon with their sauce, seasoned with Ichimi togarashi, could add an extra layer of flavor. Run by a mom and pop, this place exudes potential. I'll be back, perhaps on a quieter day, excited to delve deeper into what this unpretentious spot has to offer.“
“I love how intimate the atmosphere is. We sat at the sushi bar and had Omakase, it was spectacular. The sushi was fresh, our chef’s display was exquisite. The staff was attentive but not too much. The best Sushi I’ve had in the area. Will definitely be “
“Absolutely phenomenal sushi. The nicest place, staff, and food!! Recently moved from the city and had lost hope in finding good sushi - no longer!! Thank god for this place!! May you live long. Shout out to the owners - if you should ever be on the verge of closing, please reach out to me. I now have a stake in your success and will mobilize in the event of your need.“
“The place is the best place ever! It is the resturant that when my family wants Japanies it is the first place we will go to. I highlly recomend this place.Vegetarian options: I am vegeterian my self and I always get sushi and miso soup. The resturant has many options for everyone.“
“I recently ordered Combo A and it exceeded my expectations! It was incredibly generous in portion size, easily satisfying five people. The sashimi was delightfully fresh, accompanied by a great variety of delicious side dishes. The service was exceptional, contributing to an overall wonderful experience. We left feeling super satisfied and would highly recommend it!“
“What an absolutely fun and incredible experience. The restaurant is very lively, even on a Monday evening in the winter so you can imagine what it would be like in the summer months. A reservation is highly recommended, especially if you want seating at the grill but on off days you shouldn't have a problem with a walk in. Well depending on the group size. The menu is plentiful but simple, so many options to choose from and even good vegetarian options. The servers were very attentive, polite and friendly. The chef was extremely entertaining. You can tell he loves his job to the fullest. First he confirmed everyone's orders so he could prepare them properly and confirm and food allergies. Because I'm allergic to shrimp he cooked my steak first and served it so he could cook everything else without contaminating my food so that was very appreciative. He cooked with style, flair and a huge smile. The guests were very happy with the presentation and cooking. The price may seem high at first glance but you get what you pay for. I ordered the new York steak and it was served with grilled vegetables first then egg fried rice then noodles and then the protein cooked exactly how I wanted it. I was very happy with the overall experience and food and I highly recommend this place to anyone who has never been to a hibachi restaurant.“
“Everything you could ever want in a super awesome quality all you can eat sushi place. They’re always so nice and never get Khangri as we order in small batches but frequently, so we never waste food. You should too! They always seem happy to see us. Tip well. Sometimes I swear they must lose money on us.“
“Allow me to extol the virtues of my recent dining experience at Raku Izakaya, an establishment that exquisitely marries culinary mastery with impeccable hospitality. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.Raku Izakaya's menu is a symphony of flavors, expertly curated to delight even the most discerning palate. Each dish presented an artful fusion of traditional Japanese techniques with contemporary flair, showcasing the chef's dedication to both tradition and innovation. From delicate sushi rolls bursting with freshness to robust izakaya-style small plates brimming with bold flavors, every bite was a revelation.Yet, it is not only the exceptional cuisine that distinguishes Raku Izakaya, but also the impeccable service and attention to detail. The staff exhibited a genuine passion for their craft, effortlessly guiding me through the menu and ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience exceeded expectations. As I reflect on my time at Raku Izakaya, I am filled with a sense of gratitude for having had the opportunity to partake in such an exceptional culinary journey. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Raku Izakaya to anyone seeking an unparalleled dining experience that transcends mere sustenance to become a true culinary adventure.“
“I’ve ordered food for pickup a few times and was never disappointed. The fish is always fresh and the sushi is one of the best in the area without a doubt. It’s a small hole in the wall so it’s very easy to miss but PLEASE PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY!!“
“What is this place doing in Tarrytown?! It's great food with a fun menu and atmosphere. I tried the umami bomb with the uni and the fish was all super fresh and delicious. Table also got gyoza and the dirty avocado - both which were great. Really good service and good music. Plus BYOB which is the best.“
“First time here and definitely not the last! Met my nephew here, it's his favorite place and I see why. Food was absolutely sumptuous; tempura appetizer was crisp and light, sushi and sushi rolls were delectable, chicken teriyaki was served on a sizzling cast iron mini skillet with hijiki (black seaweed for those who don't know) and simply dazzling. Service was impeccable; food was served promptly, water and tea were kept filled without having to ask, requests (extra pickled ginger) were addressed expediently. This place rivals anything in Manhattan and far surpasses anything of its kind up here. No parking lot but I took a chance and parked in the Key Food shopping center across the street; my nephew parked on the street and had no issue with metered parking. Yes the staff is Chinese, not Japanese, but so what? Aren't all the cooks and servers in Italian restaurants Latino? Get over it, for that dude who complained that it's a Japanese restaurant run by Chinese people. All that matters is that THE PEOPLE performed beyond expectation and delivered brilliantly.“
“Best hidden gem at Pelham. My family and I come here at least twice every week. Every time we come here, we are always greeted by smiles of the waitress and feel so welcomed. They talk to us like we are friends and always have a good time here. When we order rolls or sushi, the fish is always so fresh. Every single single time. Does not disappoint. The angel roll is a must try, so delicious and such a nice blend and balance of flavors. All of the kitchen foods are so flavorful and delicious. There really isn't a place. My go to sushi place.“
“I went to Tappan Sushi with my husband for lunch who is from Uruguay. He was not into korean, japanese type food but that changed it all when we first came here. I am korean and i need to have my korean food and japanese sushi, sashimi!!!Always great food and service is great. This is our 5th or 6th visit. There are 2 very attentive and friendly waitresses and they are always working. Super great people. Also the sushi chef, the same sushi chef when i go there always greets us when we come in. That is how it should be, greeting customers in a friendly manner. One big thumbs up, the food comes right away, that is the way all restaurants should be. Plus, extremely fresh fish and all the foods i have tried. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. The Restroom is super clean, smells like fresh Clorox which means they clean it daily. The owner, i think is korean have the best staff and chef.Thank you Tappan Sushi!See you again soon!“
“This place always seems to be busy. So I finally got a chance to check it out. Even though they didn't have what I wanted on the menu they customize my order just how I want it!! I really appreciate that, the staff was very friendly and nice!“
“I love this place. I’ve gotten take out here every few weeks for many, many years, and every time it’s wonderful. The people working there, especially the woman who has run the counter and I think has managed the place for all the years it’s been open, are fabulous. Times when I get sushi it’s always good, fresh, nice, basically as it should be. Lots of rolls, all of them tight and clean (I like the California roll because I’m basic and I seriously love imitation crab, no joke). But mostly I like “kitchen food,” like the gyoza, the rock shrimp tempura (just those two with white rice is enough for me). The black bean salmon is really good too. I’m so glad they’re still here in DF.“
“Very professional chef, here provides very fresh food, the taste is very good, The restaurant is very clean. I highly recommend the sashimi here. Their tuna and salmon taste great. I love this place I have been for a lot of times, every time I got amazing food, I highly recommend this restaurant to every one“
“Great kosher place with a cool vibe. The menu is pretty big and the service was extremely nice and helpful. Food tasted fresh and amazing.Vegetarian options: No meat in the store, if you don't want fish they have many non fish items as wellDietary restrictions: Kosher and vegetarianWheelchair accessibility: Ground level“
“We usually don’t lost reviews, but what a great overall Asian fare. Consistent. Good food. Many options. Reliable, and the service is unmatched. Thomas always takes care of us — and we have a plethora of allergies and “special requests.” Really hard working people in a great atmosphere at reasonable prices. Great for people with celiac or gluten sensitivity.“
“The ambiance is awesome! I highly recommend Hanami Restaurant in Cresskill. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! Special thanks to Apple, Danny, Jeff, and Bing ( sushi chefs ) . Never been disappointed as we come and dine three times a week.“
“Best sushi in the area. Always very fresh sushi and perfect fish to rice ratio (not too much rice like many other places around here do). I've tried other places around here but always go back to Daruma as it's by far superior in the quality of food.“
“Was super excited to try some rolls tonight after a 12 hour work day, but unfortunately after 45 minutes of waiting patiently inside for them to be prepared they still were not ready and hadn’t even been started to be made. Staff not entirely apologetic. Asked for refund and won’t be back.“
“Each dish was packed with flavor and genuinely impressed me! Lots of creative touches like the creamy mushroom sauce on the gyozas, wasabi masago served with the ceviche, and the blueberry compote in the fried banana dessert. The tuna avo roll while simple hit the spot (rice still warm + perfect tempura crunch) and the duck paired with mashed potatoes was fire. Lots of unique takes on Japanese classics - memorable meal with no complaints!“
“Very fresh and good amount serving?Friendly service , only I wish the Japanese name of the foods were available on the menu as well.Other than that , will visit again for sure !Had bento meal and they recommended sushi , all very fresh and well cut fish.“
“I have been coming here since it was blue moon and for over 10 years i have been a customer of theirs. Their food is amazing, service is top notch and now that they have re-done the interior it is stunning!! I have never heard of Japanese/Mexican but i am excited to try to Japanese side of it! Mexican is always a top 3 for me.“
“Seriously, this place is soooo good. I have been trying to find a good sushi place near Fort Lee and finally this is the one! This place is reasonably priced, service very very good. Food is amazing, everything, I cannot think of anything bad. I don’t know where the bad rating came from but I swear me and my husband raved about this place the first time we visited. We tried sashimi deluxe, fish are all very fresh. Otoro is very high quality, fat and melt in my mouth. And then the special sushi are very good. We had the wagyu and uni one. AmazingFor app we ordered grilled yellow tail collar, shrimp crunch, all very delicious!I really think this place deserves more customer, I will keep returning!“
“I have to be honest, there aren't many good Japanese restaurants in New Jersey. I've tried so many, but this one is hands down the best Japanese restaurant in NJ, period. The restaurant is owned and operated by Japanese people, so you know it's the real deal. Although I didn't have time to visit the restaurant this time, I ordered takeout and enjoyed it in my hotel room, and it was still very good.“
“Dine in or take out, food is delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Located in a strip mall so you can always find parking. Plenty of tables plus a bar if you decide to eat there. Asian Wave is my new lunch spot with its great lunch specials.Parking: Located in a strip mall“
“Quick and easy sushi. Shop at the Daido Mart before or after and it’s a win win. Traditional sushi and udon.Vegetarian options: Almost all sushi rolls can be customized for vegetariansParking: White Plains parking metersKid-friendliness: I took my 9 year old son, we sat at the bar and had a great time watching out the window while eating our yummy sushi.“

From the moment I stepped in, the warm welcome from the owner set the tone for a truly delightful dining experience. The sushi was a standout, crafted authentically and to perfection, reflecting the genuine artistry and passion behind each dish. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, showcasing the high-quality ingredients and culinary skill. Not only was the food excellent, but it was also reasonably priced, offering great value for such top-notch cuisine.
