“Great for a Dunkin. Fast and efficient. Better donuts than most Dunkins. Only thing is I never can get used to Dunkin coffee, hence I doubt any Dunkin would be more than a 4 for me. It's always watered down or something, especially the iced coffees.“

“This açaí bowl is so delicious, and always seems to be made with very fresh ingredients. The açaí comes from a machine (like soft serve), which I feel gives a better consistency than some places that might blend it too thick or thin. Look, açaí bowls are expensive practically everywhere. Why not go somewhere like Oak Berry where you get UNLIMITED options?? So many great things to choose from here!
Vegetarian options: There isn’t any meat here. And although there are a few non-vegan options, almost everything is vegan as well.
Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free granola at no additional charge at this location.“

“I tried a coquito latte! Very delicious. Barista was super nice and sweet. They allow you to choose between two coffees for your espresso; I had the “rum”, which is what the barista recommended with the drink I chose. I did not try the food, so I can’t comment on that. Overall experience was great!“

“I had bypassed 787 for the 4 years I’ve lived in the UES and honestly just stopped by to use the Print4Me printer. While I was there, I decided to get a coffee and WOW - it was amazing! Such fun flavors, high quality coffee, and authentic pastries. I see now why 787 has such a following. I’ll be going back 😊“

“This cafe is so lovely. I had the pleasure of Desi and Aida assisting me with my order. They made the most delicious soy chai with amazing foam. Their desserts were amazing as well. It was refreshing to be greeted with such positive and friendly energy in New York. I can't wait to come back when I am in the area. Make sure to come to this cafe if you want a lovely experience and great food and drinks!“

“Have been curious why this place got such high rating so I came here for a one-person brunch on Sat. They really deserve the high rating.
1) coffee: most coffee shops just provide same level coffee as Starbucks, but this place is serious about their coffee beans and provide way better coffee than a Nespresso machine or Starbucks. Def tier 1 of the coffee I’ve tried. Besides, their latte price starts at $4.xx. I’m surprised at the lower price they are offering (vs $6.xx latte elsewhere) with such high quality taste.
2) food and service: I did not get a chance to try their “hot” food as the kitchen was closed 2 mins before I ordered. However the service made the whole experience beyond expectations: a) the waitress apologized for not letting me know the kitchen was closed 2 mins earlier. She did not have to apologize at all as I literally walked in 2 or 3 mins before I ordered - no difference would have been made even if she reminded me, but I appreciated her attitude. b) I saw they have “brioche sandwich” on the menu, knowing kitchen has closed I asked if I can just get a slice of toast. They gave me an exception and allowed me to order a brioche toast, what’s surprising was they also toasted it so it’s way more presentable and tasteful as a food itself. BTW the toast tasted great. And their price is reasonable.
3) very dog friendly: from the second I walked in with my dog, he was welcomed by the waitress. During my whole visit in the coffee shop, no one ever questioned, judged or confronted me.
It’s actually not too common in JC.
I usually would be prepared to answer questions like: “is your dog a service animal? What’s the specially was he trained for? Pls keep your animal on the floor all the time and be prepared to leave if other customers complained”.
Their customers (mostly from near neighborhoods) were also super dog friendly, most of them petted him and smiled at him.
For the 3 reasons above, I will be coming back in the future.“

“I recently visited 787 Coffee Shop and had an amazing experience! I ordered a chai tea with oat milk, and it was absolutely perfect—smooth, flavorful, and with just the right balance of spices. The baristas were friendly and welcoming, making the whole atmosphere cozy and inviting. I loved the vibe and the attention to detail in everything, from the decor to the quality of the drinks. This is definitely a spot worth visiting for anyone who appreciates a well-made chai or a warm, relaxed environment. Highly recommend!“

“Best Babka by far in Brooklyn! I’ve had them all, and Yard Sale truly rises above the rest. It’s hard to find this quality level anymore. Is so far superior to what you’d find at Zabars. A wonderful neighborhood treasure. Go! You won’t be sorry.“

“The rum infused espresso is to die for… Even as a coffee enthusiast this is not something I’d seen before but it definitely made for a cool experience and made it feel like more than just your typical cafe.
Never been to a coffee shop where the staff are so friendly, genuinely left a bit shocked after having been asked to have our photo taken for the instagram!
We had a couple of the chicken empanadas too and would highly recommend!“

“My husband and I got our coffee here every morning of our trip. My husband was very happy with his black coffee. I always ordered a vanilla latte and it was the best vanilla latte I've ever had. The vanilla flavor had a rich, almost nutty flavor to it. The foam was perfectly creamy and just right the right amount. It was superb and I looked forward to getting one every day of our vacation. The man and woman (I'm so sorry! I forgot names!) were incredibly polite, warm, and inviting. He was so kind to our two kids and gave them bananas we saved for their snack later. I'm disappointed I never actually tried the food, but my kids did have a cinnamon roll and a chocolate chip muffin. They were served warm and the kids loved them. Whenever we make it back to NYC we will absolutely stop into Aleef again!“

“Amazing little spot! Been wanting to go but since we live a bit further away from it, haven’t had the chance til today. First off, amazing vibes. The space is tiny so they provided seats outside. Staff is friendly, too!
Got their iced mocha and iced cafe latte - both were phenomenal. I like my coffees sweet but these weren’t sweetened and it was LOVELY.
Tried their plain croissant as well which was phenomenal. The mini vanilla donut was also delicious! Love this spot ?“

“Seek Coffee is a true find! I stopped in expecting a great coffee, but the baked empanadas were the real surprise. The chicken empanada was soft and warm, with the perfect texture not dry like other places. It was so fresh and flavorful, I couldn’t get enough! Pairing it with their strawberry lemonade was a treat refreshing and just the right touch of sweetness.
The barista was incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming vibe that made me feel right at home. Service here is top-notch, and the cozy, inviting space makes it easy to settle in and enjoy. Seek Coffee is a must-visit for great food, drinks, and an atmosphere that feels like a warm hug!“

“Do you love excellent coffee? I mean, like really, really good coffee? Not orange-mocha-frappuccinos? Then go to Buddies. I travel a lot, and one of the best parts of travel is the morning coffee quest. I like cappuccinos with whole milk and no sweetener. And I despise foamy cappuccinos or lattes pretending to be cappuccinos. Buddies is without a doubt the single best cappuccino I drank in 2024. And then I drank it 3 more times just to be sure. And after the 4th one I feel even more certain that Buddies is the greatest. And, Taylor is the nicest, most patient person you will meet all day. My partner accidentally spilled his drink on the counter and Taylor was so kind about it and even made him another drink. If you like good coffee and nice people and small businesses, Buddies is for you!“

“Very cute space but quite small. I had the pandan latte. I tend to like my drinks on the sweeter side and so ended up adding some simple syrup (which they had readily available), but the pandan flavor was great. Service was quick and friendly. Seemed like a great place to hang out if you manage to snag a spot.“

“Stephanie, one of the managers of Tkts shop at Times Square, told me about your 'mum & pap' coffeeshop for great coffee and delicious pastry. And she was right! “I love this place so much and it always hits the spot. It’s such a homey vibe and I’m always so impressed with how efficiently they can make food considering how small the open kitchen is. I’ve tried several things on the menu and they all slap. I love the effort that’s put into the presentation and you really can’t beat the price.
Most importantly i love that the kitchen is like 3 tias - it tugs my heart strings“

“Favorite coffee shop in NYC - it would be so nice if they opened a couple more spots around the city
I've been going here at least weekly for over a year now and only had good experiences. I only wish they stopped taking orders over the previous customer's shoulder - ie having to place the order while the person before is finishing payment. I don't mind the extra 10 secs of wait time, and in any case when it's a little busier, placing orders is not really the bottleneck.“

“This cozy café is one of NYC's best-kept secrets for pour-over coffee lovers like myself. Finding a top-notch pour-over in the city can be tricky, but this spot truly excels. With a diverse selection of beans and expert baristas who craft each cup to perfection, it’s a must-visit. The shop features both indoor and outdoor seating, and offers complimentary Wi-Fi for guests. You can also enjoy light snacks, and they accept credit cards for convenience. Definitely worth a visit—highly recommended! Enjoy!“

“The best coffee in NYC, probably in New York State. All the staff are amazing, and the owner, Ben, is the nicest guy you’ll meet. Once you meet him, you can see why the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have travelled and tasted specialty coffee around the world, not much compared to villager. The coffee options are constantly rotating, I fully trust Ben’s palate to showcase a beautiful coffee at his beautiful cafe. The interior is really cozy and welcoming with espresso based equipment located toward the front of the bar, whilst reserving the back-end of the bar to the delicious pourovers they are constantly brewing.
If you are in NYC, you MUST check out Villager.“
