“A+++++ i got the restaurant week meal tonight, they give you a whole casserole dish of deliciously crispy arancini! The chicken portofino was three portions stacked with chicken, mushrooms, red peppers, cheese and prosciutto! (took 2 portions home) We were so full that our waitress kindly offered to package our bread pudding to go, three separate containers one for the pudding, one for the sauce and another for the fresh whipped cream. Can't beat the staff, so helpful and everyone's constantly waiting on people and the decor is so cute and homey! Check out Ripe Tomato this week or any time.“

“The Tavern has been in business a long time. Used to be called The Clam Steam Tavern. Was and maybe still is, a popular country music venue. My dad was a country and western singer and played there a lot in the 50's. Maybe even in the late 40's. A nostalgic band stand and dance floor is still there and looks like it is in use. The food is standard bar food but very good. I do not eat seafood however my wife does and really likes the clams. Enjoy eating on the outside porch. Will be back this summer.“

Our family of 5 visited this afternoon 9/27 for lunch (11:40 am). Our 6 year old had a great time golfing and playing the fooseball table while waiting for his turn. Its beautifully set up!! We booked the VIP room (designed to accommodate up to 20, with 11 comfortable bar stools, a bistro table with 5 available tall cushioned chairs, 2 regular height cushioned chairs that are wide to accommodate everyone, and 2 couches on either side of the fooseball table). Not too expensive either. We will definitely add this hot spot to our family outings rotation!!

I personally was super impressed with my order of crispy onion rings, the dipping sauce I liked most, looked like a thousand island in color but had a mild savory bacon flavor. We did order the mozzarella bread which was gone in less than 5 minutes (devoured by my picky eaters).

My husband had the Back Nine Burger. Presentation was good, but once smooshed together for the 1st bite... the juices flowed indicating perfection to the Medium-rare request. The smell was very pleasant and perfectly blended ingredients boosting each with wonderful complimentary flavors of beef, white cheddar and bacon. The fries were exceptional mimicking my home made steak fries made fresh from potatoes (never previously frozen).

Couple things though... 1) really really irks me when anyone i'm paying doesnt say thanks, thank you, etc. It was take out, I even gave a nice tip. Say thank you - goes a long way. 2) fries were Ok, not great, pasty and just eh, 3) salad greens were disgusting. Inedible, tasted like they were in dirty water, and 4) parking lot was thrashed. this was sat, so cleanup from friday should've been done. Empty bottles, cans, etc. Gross. We'll go back, but it will be a bit.“

We wanted our reception there and Michelle and Tina were so easy to work with and very accommodating, with many helpful suggestions. Then a couple of weeks ago the ceremony venue fell through - Michelle to the rescue! Her response is almost always “no problem, we can help you”. They left their beach bar tent up an extra week, cleaned it out, helped us set it up and even painted over a sign for us! It ended up being a beautiful space for the ceremony. The reception.. the food was delicious, the service was impeccable.. not intrusive but friendly and always there. We are so happy we chose Dock Browns - it was a perfect day we will remember forever.“

“B-rads catered my wedding recently. It was by far the best food i have had. For cocktail hour was had bacon wrapped Pierogies, chicken and waffle skewers, coconut shrimp. There was also this massive charcuterie table that everyone was talking about. For dinner we had pulled pork, lemon pepper chicken, and brisket. Sides were mac n cheese, slaw, salad, corn bread, rolls ect. Everything was SO good. The brisket fell apart and was amazing. My husband loved the mac n cheese (it was amazing also). Everyone talked about how amazing the food was. Pricing was good also. They were great to work with leading up to the wedding and even called a couple days before hand to make sure we didn’t need anything else. 10/10 recommend them to cater any event!“

I also highly recommend any dish served with their risotto! It was the best I have had. Spindles is worth checking out!“

“Wheatfields makes their own pasta. They have 3 gluten-free options for pasta which is just unheard of for most restaurants. I ordered the shrimp and spinach dish on gluten-free linguine. It was savory and absolutely delicious. We love their truffle fries so we ordered those too and they were as good as I remembered. They come with garlic aoli sauce.

The atmosphere is nice with a couple of fireplaces located in the restaurant. There are booths and open tables. There is also a bar and it has seating but I don't know if you can order food from there. My husband got the caramel crunch cake for dessert and he loved it. It was a nice, quiet experience with good food and our server was fantastic.“
