“With so many options in the area, it would seem crazy to suggest that Kaiyo could possibly set itself apart. I mean, it's not like the menu is wildly original or anything. However, somehow, Kaiyo's fish selection finds itself absolutely on another level. Sashimi heads rejoice.“

“We had a wonderful athlete team party yesterday at Kiko Ramen in Manhasset.
John and his staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the event. They provided us with a private area for the team, while the parent guests were comfortably seated in another section.
They even created a special group menu that included appetizers, entrées, and drinks. It was an excellent experience overall. For anyone planning a gathering in the neighborhood, Kiko Ramen is definitely the place to go!“

“I like this place, good place to order hot soup ramen with chicken when you are feeling something brothy warm. My bf thinks it is too expensive for its quality of the food, however I don't think so. He had 2 bad dishes here before maybe that's why and the place is usually empty whenever I go pick up or dine in. The cashier is always nice :)“

“The tonkatsu ramen here is absolutely incredible
The broth is made in house, they have my favorite style of noodles with are straight noodles
The chashu is by far the best i have had, it was so tender that it fell apart in my chop sticks
And unlike most ramen restaurants, their chashu is made in house
The look of the chashu is unique compared to any other ramen place I have eaten at
I had to drive 50 mintues to get here
But I am coming back because I really want to try their Tsukemen ramen
I love this place“

“The ramen is a little above average. Their service was a little slow due to lack of wait staff. Will i go back? maybe. They have small Chinese dim sum menu, had their pan fried buns it was just ok. Likely won’t get it again.
Update: 9/23 Came back recently, their service is Alot better now, great combo deal.“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! I could definitely see myself coming back here again, whether alone or with family or friends. Well done, Nippon Cha!“

“Delicious ramen shop located in the Japanese grocery store! Easy to miss. The store is located behind the Hanamaru Zakka and the art store. The ramen shop is located in the back of the store. Order at the counter and mostly self serve. They have a lot of different ramen and udon options. I got the original ramen and my friend got the udon. Consensus was to get the ramen. The ramen tasted amazing! Price was a bit expensive. The staff are nice, and the parking lot has lots of space.“

“We ordered several dishes and enjoyed all of them. The Japanese curry, gyoza, spicy tofu, avocado salad were all excellent. Delicious! Service was very fast. The food came out so fast I couldn't believe it, but it was so hot that it had to have been cooked right then and there. The chicken wings were so hot that it almost burned out mouths and they were very good! We don't live very close by, so we won't become regular clients because it's not in our immediate area, but I would definitely give high recommendations to those looking for reasonably priced Japanes food in this area. We are well and the bill came out to
$92 which I think was incredibly affordable.“

“My husband and I love Hawaii and love poke. Obviously, poke on the mainland will never be the same as it is in Hawaii. That said, we had very delicious and beautiful poke bowls at Ocean Poke in Oceanside NY today. The short version is give it a try, you won’t be disappointed and will probably be impressed. They also have Ramen and really good bubble tea. Oh, the Aloha juices, the same ones served on Hawaiian Airlines flights and available in Hawaii, were a nice touch.
Now, let me backup to share the very long version. I usually send my husband into food places to scope them out before I even go into them. He will only eat raw fish in places that look clean and visually appealing. He gave Ocean Poke the once over and gave it the okay for us to eat there. (He even asked a diner what he thought of the place. Turns out the diner was a regular and he highly recommended the food.) When we made our way to the counter, we were greeted by a very pleasant, young man named Jeremy. He was extremely helpful and smiled through all of my questions. (I am very inquisitive and fussy.) He even spoke to his manager, Willie, so I could sample the spicy tuna. Willie was as nice and helpful as Jeremy. What a great team, they really have the customer service part down pat. Willie was approachable, engaging and helpful, but was not intrusive.
Now for the food. My husband and I both had create your own poke bowls. I had the regular size for $14.50. It allows for the choice of up to two bases, (I selected white rice and mixed greens), two proteins, (I selected raw ahi and crab sticks), an extensive variety of toppings at no additional cost (I loaded up to try them, next time I’ll be more selective and limit my selections), a few upcharge toppings (I went for the avocado for $1.00), and several sauce options.
My husband had the large bowl for $16.50. It allows for three protein selections (he went with raw ahi, raw salmon and spicy tuna).
I should have taken photos, the bowls were big and beautiful. Presentation is important to me. I cannot eat food that looks like slop. The items in the bowls were nicely arranged and the bowls looked very appealing and appetizing. Everything was fresh. The avocado was beautifully cut and fanned. The other items were uniformly cut and made for perfect spoonfuls. (I don’t like food that is difficult to eat.) The poke shoyu sauce was traditional and tasty as it should be. The ahi was fresh, Willie said they cut their fish fresh every day. All of the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The bowls were great.
Even though I am very grown, ha, I enjoy bubble tea, but I don’t like it overly sweet. Willie said they can adjust the sweetness in 25% increments. My milk tea at 25% sweet was delish.
Oh, the pork gyoza were tasty and nicely pan fried and had good, thin wrappers.
We enjoyed our food and drinks. I think you will, too. Like I said earlier, try it you won’t be disappointed.“

“Noodumpling in Hicksville is an absolute gem! I stopped in recently and was blown away by how fresh and flavorful everything was. The dumplings are some of the best I’ve had—juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care.
The staff was super friendly and patient when explaining the menu, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the whole restaurant feels clean and welcoming.
If you love authentic noodles and dumplings, this place needs to be on your list. I’m already planning my next visit! 🍜🥟“

You walk up and order your meal, and I recieved it very quickly
As an anime fan, I enjoyed the atmosphere very much, ramen is a common reoccurring meal in the anime Naruto, which is prominently used for decoration
They also have the largest portion of pork chashu I have ever had and It was delicious and chared to perfection“

“This ramen spot in Bayside is actually pretty good. We’ve been here a few times already, and every time the food has been consistent. The portions are not bad at all and the flavors are solid. Nothing too fancy, but definitely satisfying when you’re craving ramen.
The place itself has a cozy, slightly old-school Japanese vibe. Overall it’s just one of those reliable neighborhood places you don’t mind coming back to again and again. We’ll definitely keep stopping by whenever we’re in the area.“

“Modoo Korean in Queens is my go-to spot when I’m craving something comforting and flavorful. The beef ramen is honestly one of my favorites—rich broth, tender beef, and super satisfying every time. Today I’m having the chicken katsu udon, and it’s hitting the spot too. The staff is always friendly and the vibe is relaxed, so it’s an easy place to keep coming back to.“

“This place was better than I thought. I originally was craving some type of Korean wings I thought this place would have that but they really don't because I ended up getting a spam crispy roll thing it's like sushi only with Spam sounds gross but it's actually really good. And some wings. This food was higher quality than I thought even though it was a little expensive it's okay though because you get what you pay for and this food was banging. And I mean BANGING. LIKE WOW. My boba tea was also good I told them to not make it so sweet it was still kind of too sweet for my tasty“
