“We drove just under 2 hours to Stony Brook State Park, enjoyed the day and then decided to get some food at a local spot on the way home and picked High Banks Tavern. The food was really delicious. I would love to eat here again. Very intimate little place with one server taking care of about 10 tables plus the bar and they had non stop take out orders. Our server (younger gentleman) was calm, friendly, and hustlin! Our entire party of 4 couldn't say enough about the cheese curds, they were some of the best we've ever had, two of us agreed. My chicken sandwich was quite good as well, the rosemary fries get the MVP award tho. I am not much of a potato eater but I love rosemary, so I rolled the dice and I think they might be my new standard for a French fry. I loved them. Crispy, warm, and tasty. HBT is a great little place I'd love to be a local! We also really loved the new establishment next door, If you are local or in the area go check out Lewiston Waffles. We couldn't resist when we saw one walk by the window while waiting for our meal so we made sure to save room. Great experience!”

“The family is amazing and the food is very good and reasonably priced. I’ve been a customer for 24+ years and just picked up an order tonight, $14 for quart size chicken with mixed veggies. Pretty reasonable, ask for spicy. It’s a mild spice. Anyway, highly recommend! Definitely give them a try…”

“Stopped here for a small fry and drink. The oil used for the fries weren't that great, but that might've been my taste buds as I don't eat at places like this often. The fries were hot, carton was full with a little extra in the bag. Unfortunately, I only took a couple bites and had my drink.

Drive thru was quick and easy tho.”

“Consistently excellent food and service. Since we discovered Yard of Ale a few years ago, we have returned many times and never had a bad meal or less than excellent service. As people who love a good prime rib, The Yard of Ale is top on our list and always perfectly flavored and cooked. It is impressively tender. We always compare other restaurant's prime rib to theirs, no one beats it so far! We also really love the ceasar salad with homemadecroutons and dressing, the chicken french is good and the creme brulee is amazing! Sometimes we miss out on the flavor of the day because we can't get there until later in the evening, but there is usually regular creme brulee and many other amazing deserts to choose from, they do not disappoint! The bar drink selection has alot of variety, including cocktails like the carmel apple martini.”

“We get alot of food at j&t, super bowl Sunday we got subs, my wife got the chicken finger sub and all that came on it was A LIttLE boss sauce- no cheese, no lettuce, no tomatoes. Just a dry sub . Get your mouth watered up and look at a dry sub, this has happened before where you get some meat on sub and next time nothing. Not very consistent at all. Pizza is great but subs I’m going to geneseo.”

“This is a great place to be, the staff and people who are there are friendly and personable. It is my favorite place to stop at when I am in the area doing scuba work for municipalities or just passing by. Our favorite bar tender was out due to surgery, but her replacement was just as accommodating. It is truly a place that you can stop in and feel welcome striking up a conversation with anyone at the bar. Absolutely a great time. I hope to attend a band event someday.”

“We ordered some cupcakes and speciality cookies for our daughter's graduation party. They came out beautifully, and I'm mad at myself for not getting a picture of them before they were completely devoured. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious and beautifully decorated they were. Sweet Arts was so easy to communicate with and provided us a suggestion for the decorated cookies. We love treating ourselves to their sweets and coffee every so often and I wanted to share their delicious treats with our party guests. Thank you Sweet Arts for making such delicious and beautiful deserts for our daughter's graduation party 🥰”

“Well worth the trip to this bakery in the country. Absolutely the biggest maple donuts you've ever seen! They also have fresh honey, fudge, bread, other baked goods, and homemade soap on occasion. Well worth the trip!Keep in mind that holidays can affect when they are open.”
