“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“This place is truly a hole in the wall! In the best way! My son recommended us this Italian wine bar with real candles, lighting the entire restaurant and with a very romantic ambience upstairs! The food was phenomenal, our waiter was friendly and the wait staff was quick! I must say the hostess was a bit distracted when we arrived, while she was sitting on a table by the entrance on her phone. I think that looks unprofessional for “the face” of the restaurant. We enjoyed our meal and were sat upstairs aside not having a reservation. We will definitely be back next time we are in the city!“

“Local favorite. Can’t go wrong. It’s not cheap, but worth it. I’d pass on the scallion pancakes. They barely have scallion or scallion flavor. But my main gripe is please hire competent behind the POS. Why am I asking 2 and 3 times if an order was received? Why are you answering “hello?” Instead of Handpulled Noodle? And why are you saying the restaurant is on 148th? Lol it’s in on Broadway between 148th and 149th. Just a very bizarre experience on a Friday night.“

“It was a surprise to find this little restaurant in Harlem. There were no tables, and we took the last two seats at the bar. While we waited, I surprisingly felt at home. The aroma of the food, the care with which Karina prepared each of the dishes, and the kindness and joy they served us. By the time our table was ready, we didn't want to take it anymore; we ate much more than we planned to order because we didn't want to miss out on their delicious food. I have dietary restrictions, and I was surprised to see that everything from the exquisite tortillas to the delicious tres leches dessert was prepared right there, gluten-free and preservative-free. Until yesterday, I have been consistently disappointed. But this? It was absolutely EVERYTHING I had dreamed about. The prices weren't ridiculous, the bathroom was PRISTINE, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was incredibly, amazingly delicious. “My husband and I had their mushroom chick’n and Mac and cheese and chopped mushroom and cheese. All we could say was WOW! It was incredible for vegans and non-vegan alike. This chef is a mushroom magician creating comfort foods from mushroom and chickpeas. The best part about his food. It’s CLEAN whole food vegan eating. No soy, No seitan which my body does not do good with. So our hats go off to the chef and we highly recommend!“
