“Trattoria Calabria in Utica was an experience from start to finish. Everything was amazing. The owner serves you family style and comes out to talk to you between every course, which made the whole night feel so personal and unique. The food was incredible the soup from the first course was actually my favorite, and then they just kept bringing out mussels, eggplant, meatballs, sausage… literally SO much food I could barely breathe by the end 😂 There were 17 of us and every single moment was a great experience. I will 100% be back and will be telling all my New York friends about this place. Definitely one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve had!“

“Dinner and show date night with hubby. We wanted something close to the Stanley so we didn’t have to look for parking and that wasn’t far away. Couldn’t get much closer than right next door. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. From the appetizers to the entree, the food was amazing and perfectly cooked. Our waiter Paul was very attentive and prompt, price very reasonable for drinks, appetizers and dinner. Highly recommend.“

“We were in from out of town this weekend for a family gathering. We settled on It’s a Utica Thing, because the menu had something for everyone, and we wanted to get a lot of food for the seven of us and share it all. The arancini was probably the best I’ve had. The Caesar dressing was homemade and phenomenal. The spaghetti, carbonara and bolognese were all delicious as well. Almost everything was top notch. My only gripe would be that the tomato pie was quite thin and not a focaccia-like dough that I have found in the past in Utica. That is a small detail though because the flavors were well done. Also, five stars to Jessica W. for such good service. She was patient with us, and helped us navigate the menu. The service here was solid all around.“

“My family and I loved this little place. Stopped by here on a whim traveling through town, and were pleasantly surprised. Subs, pizza and pasta were all great, and the staff was excellent, especially the front of the house. Inside was small, but clean. Only knock is no public restrooms, but I get why they wouldn't be open. Would definitely recommend this place!“

“Fantastic!! I had Veal Saltimbocca and had them put over a bed of fettuccine(as my side). Sauce was great,large portions. Calamari appetizer is the best. Service is great and prices are very reasonable“

“This was our second visit and they did not disappoint. The hot sandwiches are very good. Pizza is good too. Their take on loaded French fries is interesting. We really liked the buffalo fries.
