It might take a little while to get my order by NYC standards but pretty fast for weatchester, but the short wait is more then worth it. “This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Queens. A quick walk past the kitchen and the friendly staff on the grill upon entry and you are already excited about what’s to come.

Service is attentive and they offer you a lot of help with the menu if needed. I noticed the table next to me was sharing a bottle of ouzo. They noticed me looking and gladly offered me some. It was a great experience.

Keep in mind they can get busy on the weekends and on holidays.“

“Came here on a weekday after work. There were many takeout orders going out the door while we dined. We started off with their grilled octopus, which was one of the best I have eaten in a long time. For the main dish, we ordered the mixed grill platter for 2, which came with a side of lemon potatoes. Honestly, that was enough people to feed more than 2. Everything tasted great. The tzatziki sauce and lemon potatoes sauce were great for dipping. We ordered an orange and lemon greek soda for that all-out authentic greek dining experience.“

“We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at Kyma and it did not disappoint! It was more than just dining- it was a whole experience! The service was phenomenal as was the foo, from the appetizers to the dessert. We ordered the Agean special. The watermelon salad was one of my favorites! After the meal, they brought us two beautifully prepared desserts. And then before we left, the manager spent time talking to us and getting to know us on a more personal level. Staff really made us feel at home. And this place feels like it is by the locals, for the locals. Very Greek family vibe.

Food was absolutely the star. I had chicken souvlaki which was tender and flavorful. My guest loved her food, and our grilled octopus starter was delightful. Lemon potatoes were phenomenal. Music starts late but was very nice and authentic. Excellent Greek white wine recommended by our waiter.

Mexican guy with long hair. Wasn’t really kind to the kids either. I had the chart octopus and grilled shrimp and a Greek salad. Everything was good. Except the host/waiter.

Parking: There is a parking lot but it’s small maybe 10 to 15 spots“

I ordered the Bifteki Sandwich Lunch Special, which comes with fries. The bifteki (a seasoned Greek-style all-beef patty) was packed with flavor — juicy, perfectly grilled over charcoal, and I could taste a hint of cumin and other warm spices. Easily a 9/10. I also tried the kebab— a delicious mix of ground beef and lamb with Middle Eastern spices. It was tender and flavorful — a solid 8.5/10.

“Above all this new owner created a new atmosphere that seems very charming and comfortable. For my time here I received chocolate chip pancakes(a stack of four) w/ 2 hash browns and they were very tasty and filling. The chocolate pancakes weren’t too sweet but very carb heavy. I got a crazy potato with a cheese stick. It wasn’t dry nor too moist, the softest part was definitely the inside with the cheese. I also got a sunshine slush and a mango slush. The sunshine was a mango and strawberry mix with the same flavored bubbles and some small jelly cubes that were a happy surprise. The mango slush is much more recommended since it wasn’t too sweet and would relate more towards a frozen agua Fresca so very refreshing and light.
