“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“Relatively new location but Ive been going to Modern, old and new for almost 30 years....To say the food is INCREDIBLE still wouldn't cover it. It's by far, one of the very best Italian restaurants in the entire County, if not further. It NEVER fails to serve you the freshest, most delicious meals. I'm a huge fan of their Chicken and Veal Marsala and Francese...I decided to try their Shrimp Francese for a change of pace. Sure, Ive had many meals at many Italian restaurants in the "world famous Little Italy" sections of NY City...I have to honestly say, this was the absolute BEST dish Ive ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Coupled with the Linguine with REAL White Clam Sauce, which in itself was phenomenal, as well as a salad with Gorgonzola cheese that was spectacular. I had the pleasure of returning again just a few short weeks later, and politely told the waitress (who's service was fabulous) thay I didnt even need a menu....
Modern has been around for a LONG TIME. Originally, you felt like you were sitting in the basement of a friend's home, and the food was just beyond incredible. Now, in the newer location the only thing thats changed is the size. The food has gotten even better (tough to believe since it already was EXCELLENT). The great service, the way they make you feel like family, and the food continues to be incredible....Wherever you are, if you're planning on being near New Rochelle....Modern is DEFINITELY a place you cant pass by, so ENJOY !!!!!!

“My experience at Allegria Ristorante involved attentive, courteous and friendly waitstaff, a clean and well designed environment, and food that was superb. My friend and I both had the minestrone soup and the fennel salad with shrimp, expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Capping off our experience, our reservation was intentionally set for 6:30 PM - in August 2024, Saturday dnnertime entertainment is jazz standards in chord melody form expertly played by Raphael Silverman on a gorgeous Gibson Johnny Smith archtop guitar through a Henrikson Bud Six amp. Nice clean tone comes through very well in this setting .“

The sides are also fantastic!  Brussels, broccoli, and macaroni gratines, the fries in duck fat are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wine selection, too, is excellent. Overall, this place is spectacular --decor is gorgeous and immaculate and service is equal to the best NYC attentiveness... Owner Jonathan is so charming and a true professional with an amazing pedigree in the restaurant biz. “Wow! Amazingly delicious. I forgot how good the food at the Pine was. We ordered catering for my daughter's grad party. We are Bx natives and the Pine was our spot when we lived there. We moved an hour north and are tired of eating food that is not of this quality. EVERY SINGLE PERSON at our party was raving about the food. I'll drive the hour for to cater any big party from now on. It was well worth it. We ordered the Penne Alla Vodka, Pasta with broccoli and added chicken, chicken parm, eggplant rollatini and chicken fingers for the little ones. A+++“

The calamari was made fresh not frozen. The place was full but not packed. The bar is where we ate so there was no room for others to hangout to drink. Seating was close to each other like the city but it was pretty Firenze otherwise.“
