The food is good I use to like going there but the 2 new ladies at the cashier are very rude. They love to brush you off like if the customer is annoying them . So sad that the lady who use to work there is no longer there she was awesome very polite and always greeted you.
I was in NYC for a week looking for easy food options and I found Plantego, well sort of. It’s inside a “regular” bodega/deli with other types of food, drinks, etc. so I stood around a while before I worked out that the service was the same for the Plantego “bistro” and there was just a separate menu. This is a place to pick up a sandwich, not eat a sandwich! However the sandwich I got was the Cubano which had peppers and pickles and was delicious.

Solid deli, been coming here for years. Came to see the hours and saw the negative reviews and had to set the record straight. Fast service, friendly cashiers, sandwich guys are awesome, food is great. I do breakfast and lunch here. Try their signature sandwiches.
