“Walked by and saw a flyer in the window for Monday afternoon jazz. Wasn't sure it was open as it was so dark inside compared to the bright sunshine inside and found it was.
What a great little bar, friendly bar tender and an enjoyable set by a jazz duo.

“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“

“One of my favorite dive bars in the city and a neighborhood staple in the LES. The wood paneled walls and plastic covered sofas add to the lure of this place. I’d recommend going between 5pm-8pm during Mon-Thursday if you’re want to grab a seat.“

“Absolutely the best place to go to Grab a drink after work , Have some Lunch, Watch the Game meet some amazing people, Phenomenal customer service and randomly go play some pinball in the back, while playing giant Connect four or Jenga. even eat or drink outside. great environment, my favorite go to bar and I live in The Bronx. “I loved the vibe of this place!! Classic dive bar (minus the pool and darts) with personality and graffiti from top to bottom. Came here for drinks on a Monday night and there were a few people but we had no trouble finding seating and ordering drinks. I had a Moscow mule which was, to my dismay, pretty strong. Would go again.“

“Was there yesterday after a 27 year hiatus. This was my go to place when I was at NYU MED. My friends and I would always comment on the great service, and best Jukebox…EVER! Where else can you hear Joy Division, Ramones, Lou Reed, and Suicide… Brought back great memories… I’m glad it is still gracing Alphabet City.“

“This is hands down the best bang for your buck for happy hour. $4 well drinks and they aren’t skimping either. This is the best way to get your drinks in for a great price before venturing in the eats village / st. marks. I’ve been here a handful of times and i have never had issues with their bartenders. Their crowd is a good mix of regulars and younger patrons.“

“We stopped into Iggy’s Keltic Lounge on a weekday afternoon while waiting for our tour in the Tenement Museum. It was exactly the kind of bar we love. It was laid-back, unpretentious, and full of personality. The very essence of a perfect dive bar. There were only a few people there, which made it feel like our own little hideaway.
The music was a total highlight. You never knew what they were going to play next which made it feel like it was pulled straight from my own playlist. It added to that perfect “anything could happen” atmosphere, even in the middle of the day.
We grabbed seats at the bar and enjoyed very cheap happy hour specials, which were a nice surprise for the East Village. The bartender was friendly and low-key, and the whole place had that cozy, worn-in vibe that makes you want to stay a while.
If you like bars that don’t try too hard, with good music and strong drinks, Iggy’s is the spot.“

“I arrived at this dive bar kinda early on a Tuesday evening. The place is small with a real dive-y feel. Then some friends and others came to get drinks for a birthday. I thought their beer selection was weak, particularly since nothing was draft, but I got a few of their mojitos. The party went on well for a while.“
