“We had the curried chicken and jerk chicken, both with rice, and a bottle of ginger beer. Found a place to sit (can be tricky in a place like this) and thoroughly enjoyed our food. The chicken was super moist and the rice was super tasty. Really great food. Service was fine, music tad loud but nice fit to the food & atmosphere. Place really reminded me of my trip to Jamaica - best Jamaican food I've had in years, to be honest.

“I’ve been here twice and gotten the oxtails with, plantains and rice and beans. The flavor is out of this world and the oxtail is incredibly tender. They were also generous with their portion sizes. I really enjoyed the meal so much! They offer a lunch special, medium and large size for dishes.“

“The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned. No sauce needed but if you wish, get the jerk sauce. The BBQ tasted like Kraft BBQ sauce out the bottle. (I often eat it out of the bottle so I know!) The rice and peas were very good as were the vegetables. The plantains were moist, sweet and not greasy. I only wish I got 4 instead of two. Hubby's order had 4. ?? Nevertheless, we both agreed that Peppa's will be seeing us again!“

“Absolutely one of the best jerk chicken lunch I’ve ever had in years. My mother ate their Oxtail stew dish and it was delicious too. Full flavoured food with excellent quality & portion. Friendly helpful staff are also welcoming. I bought the fried whiting fish fillets and some fried chicken wings to take home. Will definitely be back again to eat all the other dishes! Yummy ? proper jerk chicken with rice & beans that were moist not dry like other places we’ve tried in Manhattan.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access street level entrance that will accommodate wheelchairs and rollators. No steps inside the restaurant.“

“Food is excellent. I wish it was a little bigger. Lunch time the line is long they need more room. In the back the cook need more room as well. Excellent seafood soup ,whole fish dinner must try. All the soups are great. Good food . Eat there 2 or 3 times a week.“

“I ordered for the 1st time this evening and I really enjoyed it . I got the jerk pork which was seasoned very well, rice & peas was great , came with a side salad & plantains. I like how they accommodated me when the drink I ordered ran out (Cherry Lemonade) , however I enjoyed their JamRock Passion Fruit Lemonade though. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again real soon“

“A nice little spot in Harlem for delicious Jamaican style patties. They taste even better between 2 pillow soft slices of Cocoa bread. Prices are fair and the ladies that work here are pleasant. Go have yourself a quick and delicious lunch and/or snack without breaking the bank!!!!!“

“We went here for my birthday February 2020!!! The food, drinks and staff were AMAZING!!! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back! The oxtail, rice and peas, Mac and cheese...even the side salad and plaintains were PERFECTION. The customer service made us feel like we were at a resort restaurant in Jamaica, they made us feel like royalty.“

“This is a great place to eat. Vendors are friendly and food is really good. The j*** chicken was my favorite (really hot, yes!) and the rice is soft, well cooked. They also have a variety of salad mix. The potato salad was really good. I'm not a fish eater but even the seafood smell good. Price is reasonable, I think it's 9$ a pound but less money if the weight is less. It's definitely worth it.
Vegetarian options: They have a variety of mixes for salad.“

“My family and I went to visit my daughter in NY at college then we decided to go and eat some real Jamaican food. We came across Jerk House on Instagram so we decided to go and take a look. The food was very tasty, staff was friendly, ambience was great. I got the curry goat with rice and peas which was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also tried the Mac and cheese, jerk pork and stew chicken which was another hit. I will definitely be going back with my family. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed! ??“

“YUM! Great service, from the minute we walked in! The friendly hostess recognized us from a previous visit, the wait staff were on point, the chef came over to our table with complimentary soup, the music was upbeat and our food was delicious! Great vibes, highly recommend!“
