Maki Kosaka has a lot of great things going for it, but has a few misses that make me unable to rate it the full 5 stars. A great note to start: I was able to get a reservation here day-of on a Friday night for 2 people easily. When you walk in, it's a 2 section restaurant with a small bar/waiting area up front, and a huge space in the back with the counter wrapping around the center chef space. This is truly a special spot. You can taste the skill and art that goes into every piece. Grab some sake and the five piece hand roll set and go from there. Not just a meal, it’s an experience. Incredible ambience and the whole staff are excellent.
