I spent the day walking around the Columbia Univ and surrounding area including Morningside Park. This coffee kiosk sits on Manhattan Ave at 112th street and on a patio that overlooks Morningside Park.
You just walk up to the window, order and then pick up your order all at the same window. There are a few tables with nice views of the park.
I wanted an ice tea but she said it was not available. So I got an ice coffee instead.

The standout is their medium-spicy seafood boil, made from a cherished old family recipe from the owner—it’s flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. There is something for everyone here, from classic burgers to solid vegetarian options. The menu includes blue crabs, snow crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, clams, and fresh, plump, juicy corn. A customer said the crab boil was the best seasoned crab they have ever had. They also serve alcohol, coffee, and other beverages, and offer yummy ice cream for dessert. The atmosphere is always awesome, attracting friendly neighbors and visitors from all over the world. The owner, Crabman Mike, is engaging, attentive, and full of great energy, ensuring every guest is having the best time. Whether local or visiting, Morningside Cafe is a must-visit for amazing food, great people, and an atmosphere you will want to come back to again and again.
