About Sel et Poivre

Sel et Poivre is a beloved restaurant, known for its delicious food and local vibe. The green bean salad, tomato mozzarella, and roast chicken are standouts, although some reviewers wish for more variety on the regular menu. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and consistent local patronage contribute to its charm. However, there have been occasional reports of rushed service and dry dishes. Despite these rare missteps, Sel et Poivre remains a popular and appreciated dining destination.

We live about 350 miles from NYC and visit once or twice per year. We try to visit Sel et Poivre about every other year for the past 20 years. The food is great, but what brings us back over and over again is it seems nearly everyone else in the restaurant is a local from the neighborhood. That alone is the best recommendation for a restaurant, but it helps me feel like a local when I am in town.
