“Really enjoyed this neighborhood gem, which has been there for 30 years. We tried it for the first time this past weekend and thought the food was terrific. The staff was very sweet and attentive, as well. It’s also good to know that it is open late, after Broadway shows let out, should you feel like dining on the late side.“

“Absolutely amazing spot for Turkish food in Murray Hill. It was close to my hotel, so I figured to stop in. I’m so glad I did. I got to try a variety of different items, inducing: ayran, chicken Adana sandwich on home bread, Turkish tea, and rice pudding.
The ayran was probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. It was so refreshing, the perfect amount of salt, so good. And it’s homemade. I would highly recommend you try this drink regardless of what you order, it’s that good.
The chicken Adana sandwich was also quite nice. The chicken was fresh and well seasoned in a good portion with some lettuce, onions, tomatoes as well. The bread was great. It’s served with two wonderful, flavorful sauces: hot sauce and yogurt sauce (I much prefer the latter). Portion is incredible for the price.
Then, I was initially interested in trying the fig pudding for dessert but they were out of it, so I went with the rice pudding. Again, a huge portion that is well worth the price. So creamy, so good. And, they brought out 2 Turkish teas for free to make up for not having the fig! The people are just very nice here, and the tea was also lovely, piping hot and just perfect.
It’s a pretty small restaurant but doesn’t get crowded early on. They were playing some Turkish music while I ate, and I really enjoyed it. The people are very kind and attentive and the food is just incredible. Must try!“

“My first time going was last Friday right as they opened and I must say for my first time eating a Turkish dish, I was blown away. The service was on point and efficient as well as the plating of the food. I was in love with the portions too and even the bread was just so savory. I can say I have not one complaint about this place and highly recommend it to everyone.🥰“

“Delicious, flavorful, healthy food, wine (and tea!) Excellent atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient service. I have been a client of SipSak for many years, and have brought my family and friends. So happy to have this great Turkish restaurant in our neighborhood. I had Ali Nazik today, which is ground beef, tomatoes, peppers over a smoked eggplant puree and yogurt. A glass of Malbec. And the delicious Turkish tea (which is served in a really cute cup!) The bread and olives are also very yummy! I would certainly recommend!“

“Basic but very good, especially for the price. A highlight was the woman at the register who was very concerned and accommodating. You can get a half chicken and two sides for $15.95... and that ain't bad. The establishment is a solid choice for a quick and reliable meal.“
“I'm totally infatuated with this place. Staff treats you right and the food is so good. The dishes stand out. Workers ensured I got attention and answered everything I asked with enthusiasm and respect. My time at this place was special.“

“Very fast service, generous portions, and it all tasted great! Served my group of 5 people with fresh food within ten minutes, and my only regret is that we couldn't finish it all. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area.“

“Nice Mediterranean spot, might want a reservation as it is a bit small. Excellent dessert selections and pastries. We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“

“We either ordered the wrong things or it was an off night for this restaurant because our experience was nothing like what other reviewers say. Restaurant was so noisy that we had to shout to our table companions all evening. The imam bayaldi was oversalted and underflavored and pine nuts doled out as if they were diamonds. The shrimp was hard, dry, overcooked, oversalted and flavorless sitting on a bed of gloppy watery tomatoes. Half the lamb kabobs were ok and half were nothing but gristle. Servers were very pleasant, and helpful with wine selection but the wait for our dishes seemed interminable. What was good -- very good --the rice with the lamb kabobs, the rice pudding and the coffee. But too much money for bad (sorry, but that's what it was) food. As I said, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes or maybe it was just an off night.“

“Went yesterday for my sisters 30th birthday for happy hour drinks and it was amazing! The service was amazing (and they were slammed by the end of our time there) but the servers themselves were even better. We shared the mixed spread app (probably not the name) and it was delicious.“
